A really solid competency-porn revenge movie with a truly fantastic supporting cast. Has a couple of great surprises. Jess & I had a blast with it.

unlabelledView post →The Amateur is a fun, intriguing & exhilarating movie. The cast was cohesive & led brilliantly by Rami Malek. It had everything you want to see in a good spy thriller. Caitríona Balfe as Inquiline had a quiet strength that, imo, was integral to the story. #CaitríonaBalfe #TheAmateur

unlabelledView post →Here’s a fun fact about me. I will watch a show or movie just because Holt McCallany is in it. The fact that he’s standing next to Caitríona Balfe and is in The Amateur makes my fangirling heart happy.😍 #TheAmateur 📷: 20thcenturystudios IG

unlabelledView post →Was running late to the movies and accidentally walked into “The Amateur” instead of “Until Dawn”. So my dumbass for 5 minutes was like “Wow, I didn’t know they got Rami Malek to return for this”. Thought the film was just doing something different to setup the horror angle.
unlabelledView post →Watched The Amateur Anyone want a standard action film with the only noteworthy thing about it is the acting? Disney has you covered. Rami Malek may try his best with his performance but with a script you have seen countless times in the past, it feels like a waste.
unlabelledView post →Trailers: Into the Lost Lands, Jurassic World: Rebirth, A Minecraft Movie, The Amateur Epilepsy warning: flash photography, and some flashing lights in a lab. Unsurprisingly, plays a bit awkwardly at this present moment, but that might be in it's favour, because that at least gives it *something*.
