She's a knockout in The Age of Adaline, The Town, The Shallows and A Simple Favor.

unlabelledView post →Oh, that's an interesting observation. I loved her in The Age of Adaline, and I think that was a movie that really let Blake be Blake, you know, find the character herself. #FrightClub
unlabelledView post →The Age of Adaline: Critics evaluating this movie as drama or immortality sci-fi missed the ENTIRE fucking point -- it's a FAIRY TALE, among the best. Blake Lively, a subtle revelation, vastly different from her Green Lantern character. Harrison Ford shoulda got Oscar nom'd. #FilmSky Verdict: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

unlabelledView post →Rewatching The Age of Adaline film. You have to rewatch it periodically. I don’t make the rewatch rules, but I’m happy to adhere to them. Highly recommend you watch it if you haven’t. It’s on the rental VOD sites. I bought it on iTunes after seeing it in the cinema. It’s a film I rewatch frequently. Harrison Ford is in it. Which may entice some of your to watch it. https://m.imdb.com/title/tt1655441/ #Film #Movie #FilmMastodon #SciFantasy #TheAgeOfAdaline
unlabelledView post →Blake Lively is…problematic, but I love The Age of Adaline, it is such a beautiful, well-made film with very nice cinematography and solid performances. It’s…completely dreamy and ethereal, and I kinda fall in love with it every time I sit down and watch it. And Blake’s completely gorgeous in it.

I can't recommend this movie highly enough.🍀 #FilmSky
unlabelledView post →The narration should have given movie critics a GIGANTIC FUCKING CLUE as to the actual genre of The Age of Adaline. Surely these schmucks realized the also-narrated The Shape of Water was ALSO a faerie tale (preferred spelling), and not a proper drama or sci-fi film... didn't they? DIDN'T THEY???😫

I feel the same way about The Time Traveler's Wife. It might just be that they both feel like Autumn in movie form.

unlabelledView post →I finally got around to watching The Age of Adaline. It's a movie I've been putting off for 10 years, so yay! I think it was lovely overall, tho in 2025, Ellis tracking down her address looks really bad. (My expectations are different when they're 3D men, ok?) I really see why people praised Blake.

unlabelledView post →Watched “The Age of Adaline” last night. What a waste of time. The storyline was great but the delivery left much to be desired. The narrator made this movie even more dull. Their voice was dull and robotic, just like Blake’s performance. #TheAgeOfAdaline #BlakeLively

unlabelledView post →The plot was so predictable I could guess every second of it. Started great but went downhill as each minute passed.

Though this is not a fairy tale, but a heartwarming sci-fantasy romedy. For every action in the movie they explained it very clearly, that's the indication of the involvement of the science, but mostly bogus for the present era. So that is where fantasy steps in. A beautiful concept with the wonderful cast. And again they did not…
