Literally jumping up and down and standing ten inches from the TV stuff. She was utterly crushed the sequel promised at the end was never made.

The only shame is that the story ends just when things get really interesting as this was meant to be a trilogy we never ended up getting. Still fun
unlabelledView post →I still maintain that The Adventures of Tintin is still the third or fourth best Indiana Jones movie, and that includes Indiana Jones, National Treasure, Romancing the Stones, Uncharted, Jumanji, Tomb Raider, and The Lost City. But to be fair, Hidalgo should also be in this list. Hidalgo rules.

unlabelledView post →I finally managed to watch (the first hour of) Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny last night and it absolutely reminds me of a Steven Spielberg movie ... oddly enough though it's The Adventures of Tintin.
unlabelledView post →20. The Adventures of Tintin 2011 (w/ Pierre!) Holy shit that was really good, what- it was like an Indiana Jones movie but somehow more high octane (and infinitely less racism). This movie definitely aged the best visually compared to most of the hyper realistic mo cap animated movies of the time.
unlabelledView post →The Phoenician Scheme is a dramedy about family dynamics, spiritual struggle and relational responsibilities. Wes Anderson combines The Adventures of Tintin and Orson Welles' Mr. Arkadin for a witty espionage tale. A very Wes Andersony movie.

unlabelledView post →Got asked for my top 3 movies and I think I figured them out. Tampopo The Adventures of Tintin Death to Smoochy 1. A beautiful love letter to food. 2. Steven Spielberg recaptured Indiana Jones in a way he never could with the later films. 3. Just a perfect film from top to bottom.
unlabelledView post →Watched The Adventures of Tintin yesterday with friends. This is such a banger of a movie. It has good humor, visuals are fantastic, very nice style and simple and fun adventre story. But action in this movie is something else. It's as ridiculous as beautiful. I recommend

unlabelledView post →And, after the premiere of Raiders of the Lost Ark at the Cannès Film Festival, Indiana Jones discovered The Adventures of Tintin by Hèrge and was amazed by the similarities between Tintin and Indiana Jones. So much so that eventually him and Peter Jackson made a Tintin film in 2011.

unlabelledView post →But why was I looking at Buzzfeed articles about Tintin tanks? I wanted to discuss the 2011 film "the Adventures of Tintin", which is a triumph of filmmaking and storytelling by Steven Spielberg. I read the English translations of Tintin as a kid and really enjoyed the action and Hergé's drawings.

unlabelledView post →Rewatched The Adventures of Tintin (2011) for the umpteenth time today and good GOD that movie is a solid 12/10 and I continue to be resigned to dying angry that Spielberg never gave us a sequel adapting Red Rackham's Treasure, which besides everything else means we were deprived of SHARK SUBMARINE.
unlabelledView post →I had an excellent chat with Peter Jackson about his forthcoming films, The Hunt for Gollum, and the sequel to The Adventures of Tintin. I’d have loved to talk Lord of the Rings but he has already said everything there is to say about that film many times over.

unlabelledView post →The Adventures of Tintin (2011) A rewatch actually. This one of the few movies I'd travel for 2h to the nearest movie theater to watch it. The animation holds up to this date pretty well, it's a very dynamic movie (it was released on 3D) and the score by John Williams, a delight.
