Are We There Yet?
The fledgling romance between Nick, a playboy bachelor, and Suzanne, a divorced mother of two, is threatened by a particularly harrowing New Years Eve. When Suzanne's work keeps her in Vancouver for the holiday, Nick offers to bring her kids to the city from Portland, Oregon. The kids, who have never liked any of the men their mom dates, are determined to turn the trip into a nightmare for Nick. From TMDB

unlabelledView post →Folks! @BoxOfficeGross episode 3 is LIVE and we've already arrived at what very well might be the absolute worst film we cover on our 2005 season: the nightmarishly bad kids road trip comedy "Are We There Yet?"! At least I HOPE it’s the worst. LISTEN!!! open.spotify.com/episode/7rHp...

unlabelledView post →Thing 4 Are We There Yet? This movie is such a product of its time. A dreadful slog of tired physical comedy cliches and a complete misunderstanding of what makes an emotional core.
unlabelledView post →We’ve once again covered a film that, like Are We There Yet, I abstained from as a kid on principle; it’s a considerably better movie than AWTY but does continue the year’s tendency toward broad and substanceless humor. Like a film we’ll be covering in a couple weeks, Chris Rock is the highlight.

Maul and Rook weren't exactly being subtle with Devon and Rylee overhearing them. Maul pitches the defeat of the Empire like he's pitching a timeshare plan.

Give me Are We There Yet over this manipulative trite, encouraging minimal human growth. These movies are societally harmful.

By that point, I realized I was aging out of the demo. Ice Cube is still making shitty movies I see.

Soon as I could listen to songs without their input, I listened to a lot of 50 Cent (knew of through the movie Are We There Yet) and ICP (friends shared).
