unlabelledView post →2024 and this is still peerless among its kind (unfortunately). This is a masterclass and showcase on the potential weight and impact of game design. It is barely a few silly pixels on your screen, and it will terrify, asphyxiate, intrigue and charm you. Great atmosphere, capsule-sized plot that is surprisingly captivating and compelling, with sound design made with a care and attention that you wouldn't expect looking at the game from a glance. Every aspect and part of this game comes…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A masterclass and one of the pioneers in the top down roguelike survival genre. Few games have come close to what Teleglitch achieved more than a decade ago. Safe recommendation if you're into tactical perfectionism and minmaxing your loadout and skillset through vigorous effort.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bought the game in 2016 and have chased its shadow since then. In reflection I must admit: it has shaped my taste in video games like no other game EVER. It has lived in my mind for all my teenage and adult years. It is the only game I have been TRULY obsessed with. I never managed to beat it or even liked to play it that much. Nonetheless: it has shown me, what it must feel like to play Polybius. I feel like I have been cursed with knowledge.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If there was an optional non-ironman mode so you could save your game between levels, I think I would like this game. And apparently I'm not alone, a lot of people have said similarly in forum posts over the years, and most people give up on this game quickly and don't even finish the first couple of levels, based on the achievement rates. But the developer has essentially said he doesn't want people to be able to continue playing after making a mistake. This means if you're not a gamer god,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've replayed this one with a GoG copy a year ago from now, and while previously having held the game in a pretty high regard, while I still appreciate the atmosphere and setup, I came to feel this one's gameplay is really held back by being a roguelite where the variance between runs is very low, all while being hard and indeed taking many replays to figure it out. The game takes place in a dystopian corporate future. Everything sucks. People sell their bodies to be reanimated as zombies…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is *the* modern roguelike (actual roguelike) with a lot of really cool design happening: my fave crafting of any game (tied with Teleglitch), nice/easy UI (this is insanely rare in this genre), a chain of secrets threaded through the game, etc.. definitely check this one out!
unlabelledView post →Look, the game isn't actually bad outright, it just doesn't deserve to be "very positive" rated on steam and cost 13€. I've beaten it entirely and it's just too poorly balanced, with not enough variety or charm to make it worthwhile. Teleglitch shows promise, it effectively captures the high stakes "every-bullet-counts" lonely, fragile, scientist trapped in hell vibe it's going for. However, it is wildly unbalanced, and almost no mechanics are adequately explained to the player, forcing them to…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →good but the "use knife button" shouldn't be the "drop lit explosive at your feet" button wtf game?
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A nice relaxing game that can be enjoyed casually This and Noita are my go to relaxation therapies.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The GFX here is not the selling point at first - but that can change quickly and that you will love it. This game is intense, its thrilling and you will die alot by enemies or your own doing - be it to blow yourself up, run into the abyss, carelessly running into new rooms and getting swarmed and ripped to pieces ... or just simple shot. You will only need 5-10 minutes to know if you love or hate this game... I own Teleglitch since forever and its always installed. Be it for a quick trip or…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Still remains one of the best games out there imo (also, many years have passed and I still haven't been able to beat it either)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Brutally hard and unforgiving, but a rewarding and unnerving roguelike. The stark and gritty hallways have a horror all of their own, where despite being well lit and frequently spacious, the constant anxiety of a sudden nerve-wracking gun fight tugs at your brain. The combat is deliciously visceral, which only adds to the overwhelming quality, the screen lights up with prismatic colors and the screen shakes so that combat frequently feels fast, confusing and terrifying. You are not some super…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have a bittersweet relation with this game. On one hand, its strangely addictive, because its the kind of game that whenever you fail and die, you have this strong feeling of "with what I know now, next time I won't die". On every attempt you learn more about the level layouts, the traps, the enemies, the secrets you can find, and the items and weapons you can craft. You go from zero to hero, not only through each level as you keep acquiring gear, but through your mastery of the game as a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Been years with this game an i still dont know what the hoot is going on
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Almost all of the achievements for this game have less than 10% global completion. In other words this game will kick your ass.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →More than 10 years since I bought it, and still every fight is pumped with adrenaline. Running frantically, trying to dodge hails of bullets and select nailbomb which you saved for just this situation. Never knowing if opening another doors will bring a horde of enemies or a box of much needed items. Action in this game is just as sweet and juicy as the graphics are simple, and keeps you on your toes, cause as soon as you feel overconfident with your mighty guns and stacks of medpacks, you…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →took 60 hours, lots of dying, and about 98 tries to beat this game in one run. You are a scientist who was boarded up after an accident in a teleportation facility. You are looking for the main teleporter so you can go home, but theres zombies, mutants and AI robots after you. You can craft items to help along the way, and fully exploring each floor will lead to secret gear. Start with powerlegs thank me later. [url=https://youtu.be/QY0iksE4KWY?si=xK4SGPsvCdSNqreA]master / hardcore run.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You'll wonder how a cluster of 10 pixels can be so terrifying.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You are 2 pixels wide and you will fight 8x8 pixels robots who's sole existance is to murder-♥♥♥♥ you as soon as any of your two pixels enter their line of sights. It's great.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An old game, but I remember it well. As an indie, it still holds up to this day, despite few hearing about it. Very difficult, but a fascinating theme and unique game-play loop. Would recommend this obscure and likely forgotten game. Especially on sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its brutally difficult, but ultimately fair. It manages to wonderfully build a tense atmosphere, and weapons feel satisfying to use. Its weakpoint is its lack of variety. You tend to find and craft the same items during each run. Still its very satisfying, even if you only complete the game once.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Extremely Underrated
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the most menacing games out there. Incredibly stressful, panic-inducing action gameplay experience. However, it's also a masterful, resource-management heavy action-horror title that I recommend to anyone who is able to sustain its intensity. Although, once you learn the mechanics, the early levels feel quite relaxing.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →there are few games that make you feel the intense desperation of survival that teleglitch does, every corner could be a shotgun to the face, every pick up of ammo or medkit is game changing , the elegant crafting menu and endless weapon options, while useful also demand attention long enough to put you in a sticky situations and juggling all of that is truly thrilling.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →(IMO the most magical aspect of this game, also similar to Teleglitch, is that *inventory management* is the core of the gameplay, which maybe sounds boring but it keeps the entire run absolutely fascinating.)
unlabelledView post →replaying Teleglitch. absolutely gorgeous game. nothing looks/feels quite like this
unlabelledView post →Can't say another game has ever made me feel the dread I felt finally making it to the final level the first time.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A Paradox Interactive game that doesn't have $500 worth of necessary features locked behind a paywall!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't beleive steam tags, this game is horror xD Aside from that, an amazing game that I am still yet to actually beat, it is hard :/
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fantastic little game. Scratches itches for both roguelike, survival, and horror games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a fairly competently made survival rogue-like shooter. Each run occurs on a procedurally generated map, and you try to find your way out through swarms of enemies using only what limited ammo and resources you can scrounge up. The controls are a bit basic in an indie-game kinda way, but serviceable and intuitive, and the aim is serviceable enough for a top-down shooter. It's just not a genre that particularly appeals to me. I'm personally someone who is more interested in exploration…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Holy $#it. How have I not left a review of this amazing game?? I have dumped 510 hours into this. Well friends, it's not easy. The stages are different each run, but not that different. In this games case however, this is a good thing. The lore of this game is awesome. The action in this game is awesome. It's chaotic. It will surprise you even when you know there is a whole surge of mobs headed your way. There is even crafting! But when you finally get to a further point, you feel like a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A really short top down + atmospheric + low-res + light puzzle + light walk-in simulator game inspired by Teleglitch + Darkwood with full voiceover and mini cutscenes. ✨More to come this week!
unlabelledView post →Holy sh*t! (why can't I curse in Steam reviews?!?). This unassuming little indie game from over a decade ago has been collecting dust in my Steam library for ages, and I'm ashamed that I hadn't given it a shot sooner. A truly brutal, unforgiving roguelike with an atmospheric and industrial survival horror edge. I'm completely shocked at how immersive this game is - from the incredible sound design that continues to ratchet up the tension throughout, to the impressive visual effects that help…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I play tons of roguelikes, and this is one of those games that I often think about. This highly stylized horror-action-roguelike is one of my all-time favorites. Difficult and punishing, but always entices you with "just one more run". Very atmospheric and engrossing despite its minimal aesthetic. It's so impressive that this game can evoke a true sense of fear and anxiety with only pixel graphics, but it plays smooth and the enemies are quick. If you like top down shooters, or…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dosh Doshington convinced me and its good
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →~100 MB god-tier roguelike.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i like this game because i can't tell if i'm just lucky or if i'm good when i completed a full run after 6 deaths p.s. if you get softlocked in a terminal press enter. i wish i knew that at the time, cause i would probably have won after 3
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yet another roguelike that forces you to redo the same thing over and over again while boasting it's different every time cuz the paths that all look the same go in different directions each time you die...oooohhh...not boring at all! Teleglitch has you go through a map full of dead ends, fighting your way through mutants that look like seaweed with some of the worst combat I've ever seen. Everything takes too many hits, and they can gang up on you really quickly. When shooting, it feels like…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When I got this game free a long time ago I was like 15, entirely happy to recieve a free game in a platform I wasn't able to buy games because no credit card. Teleglitch is a beast, by lvl 5 you can't doubt the shots you're gonna take, every encounter with an enemy capable of shooting easily becomes a you or them situation, and if you decide to save ammo at the start for later lvls you better be good with that knife. Fortunately the game provides an arena to experiment with the guns and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →dude, it's too hard.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is genuinely awesome, a newer one like it is "EMPTY SHELL" but i had been looking for teleglitch for months without knowing the name cos i remembered having so much with it. there is a small problem if youre trying to run it on windows 10 but its and easy fix. just go to scaling settings in your computer and set it to anything below 300% and the game window will pop up in your bottom right corner, then you can move it whereever and the game runs fine. i wish they would fix it but…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it's a good game, but it's tough. not for everyone, PEGI 7. think of it as a baggie of dried mushrooms. i haven't beaten it, but impressive nonetheless.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Runs take around 2-3 hours to beat, but if you really want a tense experience, you can't go wrong here.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →hypocritical racists
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →*Die More* No Thanks.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of the greatest game made until now. A golden treasure where nothing is useless from the graphics to the sound, a great shooter with a little random touch, all in one of most brutal game ever. The difficulty is not arbitrary, so die and learn.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →может как шутан не самый топ но тут роуглайк реальный, каждый запуск вас будет ждать новый комплекс сложность практически реализм, игрок откисает от 1 секунды лазера тут уж кто первей выстрелит
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's quite a challenging rogue-like, that requires careful planning and resource management. It's very atmospheric with its limited cone of vision and unsettling music. The procedural generation and unpredictable nature of the enemies keep this game fresh and interesting. While it can feel unfair at times with some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ difficulty spikes, I still think it's a very well-made game that's worth playing.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is scarier than FNAF
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this game so much. It has a unique game feel. One day I'll beat it! Maybe.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Can't remember where I originally got this game, but bought it on Steam to support the dev. Plenty of good reviews to read, and I don't really have much to add. It's a classic by now. Requires some skill and patience to get good at it, however this is all fun. A game to always have installed, just for that unique Teleglitch fix.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bit of bullet hell in a maze. The retro look and very good sounds what sets it off. Very simple to play. Some crafting involved for those of you who like to build.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What happened on the official Discord server is unacceptable. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk is the founder and first President of the Republic of Turkey; he is not a controversial figure! A Turkish player using a portrait of Atatürk is not hate speech in itself. Labeling Atatürk as "controversial" is disrespectful to millions of Turkish players. We will never buy games from a development team that is racist towards its own players.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Honestly, a LOT of fun for a simple looking, top down game. The gampelay loop is fun, and as you learn the enemies patterns, weapon attacks and your own character's limitations you progress further and further. A great little gem to pick up and play, worth it during a sale or otherwise. You will come to love the art style over time.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →'Teleglitch' is a simple yet effective top-down shooter with roguelite elements that is enjoyable to play with a keyboard and mouse. However, playing with a controller is another story: The lack of aim assistance makes it a frustrating, unbalanced nightmare. Forget about it if you're looking for a couch game. Score: 7/10
