positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played the JP release a while back but happy to see it in ENG on Steam. THERE IS AN OFFSITE PATCH FOR THIS GAME, as a heads up. It restores a bunch of content to this game, so make sure to grab that first. Now onto the review: THE GOOD: Generally high production value coupled with actual fun gameplay make this one of those rare titles that strikes a balance between eroticism and fun. The devs have been making games for over a decade and it shows here. If I had to compare it to another similar…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game BUT wow did the mess up the Steam version. Playing this game directly from steam will only give you the dungeon gameplay. NOTHING ELSE. You NEED to go to the publishers website and download the H(18+) patch in order to get ANY of the story content. That means without getting the patch, you get NO dialogue between characters, no scenes, no story at ALL. So I'd say the version on steam is a little misleading. This is a (18+) game with a necessary H patch that is almost unplayable…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Playable on deck with minor visual bugs. The game is more of a VN management simulator than it is a dungeon builder. If you fail to fulfill the main objective in the alloted time, you have the opportunity to start a new game with previous progress inherented. I don't mind that this game is mostly a VN, but for anyone looking for a pure dungeon management game will be disappointed.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Review ✒️ Overview Suzukuri Dungeon is a hybrid of a visual novel and a roguelike. That tells the story of a random adventurer who, due to his strategic skills in dungeons, is recruited by one of the demon queen Karin's assistants. In order to help her to complete the demon queen's resurrection ceremony, having to building and managing a dungeon. This game offers an atypical gameplay experience of visual novels, where you have to play multiple "runs", recruit different monsters, conquer…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Others have pointed out in various way how bad this port is but I bought it despite that. I thought it couldn't be that bad. The steam version only has the gameplay elements, no story. I knew this beforehand and there's a free patch for it on the Shiravune website. So no issues there as far as I'm concerned. What I didn't expect was that the game is barely translated. Like, when I booth up the game it first shows a settings menu that's completely in Japanese, no translation whatsoever. I think…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Suzukuri Dragon is a visual novel and tower defense game that provides a unique spin on the genre with it's "Suzukuri" (Nest-Making) game play. The game is a spin-off from SofthouseChara and Karin Project's older series Koihime Musou and Suzukuri Dragon. The game is centered around the titular Demon Queen Karin who has been sealed away deep inside of a mountain. Thankfully though, Karin had negotiated a resurrection contract with a company who would release the seals containing her after some…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TLDR: Above average, but deliberately tedious The Good High production value (lots of quality voice acting) The character writing is genuinely finny at times and what little world building there is feels thought out The gameplay requires you play through it multiple times to unlock all the scenarios. The early t0 mid game has the right amount of difficulty, and it's easier to get up to speed with each subsequent loop due to upgrades carry over. The Bad Bad Port: You need the patch…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wish I could say I had a good time with this game, but I didn't, I really didn't. I managed to beat it but only after I discovered that there was a patch in the comments on the forum/community tab which is essentially mandatory or else you don't even get any story. Without story there is no way in hell you can work out what to do. Without the patch the game is absolutely awful and you should not play it. With the patch it's grindy and repetitive but it's doable. It's ... a game. It's…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have to give a positive review cause people don't know how to install a patch....
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I need more SoufthouseChara and BaseSon rpgs in Steam. Bunny Black, Koihime Musou - all of them. PS: If someone from MangaGamer reading that - I need Koihime Musou in Steam. Not sure if you guys could just publish it here PPS: Eushully representatives, I need your games in Steam as well

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So I need to restart the game after some turns? Why?? Because there are lack of contents? The game is basically so boring... build your dungeon, place unit, and there is only one location with the same enemy every time... it's like game from 2010s~~ No~~~~
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →************You need to patch this game using the publisher's patch!************ Otherwise you are going to find this game very confusing and boring. The game when patched is a okay defense game in the vein of Suzukuri Dragon (I believe this is sort of a spiritual successor) and a middling VN using the characters from the Koihime Musou franchise. The H-scenes are... fine, but aren't really going to sell you to the game. The game is also grindy, in that it clearly expects you to fail multiple…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would preface all of this that the dungeon Keeping part of this game is what drawn me to it. But as it stands its 10% dungeon keeper, 30% VN, and 10% roguelike(lite?) and 50% convoluted time management and not very clear anything. i did 3 runs, and i did kinda progress farther in each run, but i still feel like i only seen like 3% of the game at this point. for the record i do not care about minmaxing runs, so if thats what i/you have to do then i do not recommend the game for the price. I…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Okay, so... this game is amazing. BUT... it's done in such a complicated way it's awkward to run, reminds me of downloading a random small japanese VN on the internet and all the troubles that come with. I bought this game and downloaded it, saw how garbage it was to run, and refunded the game to play OUTSIDE of steam. In steam, it started by opening a bunch of menus in japanese, that clicking yes will make the game close, then, the cutscenes got entirely cutted and the 20-ish minutes i played…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Amazing translation job by Shiravune as always. Game's good. A bit repetitive by the nature of it but if you don't mind the grind there's plenty of interesting content, both story-side and gameplay-side. Get the patch before playing. Game's also fiddly to start but works perfectly (for me at least) once it launches successfully, not really a big issue.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is awesome, waiting for DLC! Good: 1) Visual and storyteling part. 2) Beloved characters 3) Replayability Bad: 1) Kinda bugged but playable 2) Removing whole VN part from Steam release is a shame 3) Mosaic censorship
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Does this game function for anyone? Nothing seems to work, I'm getting achievements at random just for putting adventurers through the dungeon (who are these characters that I'm apparently meeting?). There doesn't seem to be a story at all. I'm just put right into the menu, and have to build stuff with no explanation. The game itself is simple, but it seems just nonfunctional on release. This game released in 2024 with graphics settings of a VN from 2004.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has a lot the potential to be good, but it came up short for me. Still i'd enjoy playing it enough and would recommend it if you want a challenging building your dungeon TD /w harem. The story is serviceable, and i definitely do not recommend playing this game for it's story. Things i like: + Game-play loop is fun, fights can be challenging and punishing at times with how stingy they are with upgrade items. + Good VA, Some V/A feel like they were pouring their hearts to their roles…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The good: awesome gameplay. A bit grindy but highly addictive and entertaining, totally recommended. The bad: VN stuff. Neverending scenes that you can't skip unless watched, and even after watching them once you have to manually click skip on each one, pure hurt since you have to do several runs through the game to get the most out of it. The ugly: Unremarkable H scenes, just mosaic'd stills although with VA. Get this one for the gameplay, it's worth it even with the wasted time on VN scenes.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You don't get HCGs immediately with this game, and you have to work quite a bit to get them (if you don't count non-intercourse casual nudity stuff, that is). In fact, at the end of my first run my main character is still a virgin. The CGs' quality is very high though. The gameplay is...tedious to put it mildly. Every NG/+ cycle has limited amount of turns and you have to make use of that time to train your charas and gather all the NG+-carry-over-ables resources. What's a pain though is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First thing First. THIS is NOT as advertised. It is NOT the FULL game. It doesn't even go full screen. The menus are garbage the game is gutted. However, apparently their is a patch outside you can download that will transform this mess into the game. I've heard that the game is GREAT. Patches are easy enough to learn to download, so I get why people might want to review this high. I am not one of those people. I am reviewing what I paid for and received. I paid for a full game, that would…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unless if you get the patch, there's 0 dialogue and story for the game. I can't even tell what's going on or understand nearly half of the point of the game. I'm also on my 5th NG+ and the game wont unlock my 4th character even after 36 turns. This game doesn't have any useful English guides because of how niche the game is so I don't understand how or what unlocks at what time or under what circumstance. A very infuriating and frustrating game and I would highly suggest ignoring this even at…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simple but cute dungeon management game. *Get the offsite patch tho or you are missing out on most of the game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Realy nice straight roglike defence game You definitely need the story patch from the dev website, or it will make lil sense as to what's happening.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →0/10 there is no nipple twister trap
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the game looked interesting from the video' s but i was not able to find it interesting. It looked simple and i don't like the game has a maximum turn restriction.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really like the 'dungeon management/working for the demon lord' genre of games, and I think this one does a very good job of staying true to form. As usual with these types of games though, I do think that you have to already like VNs and VN-adjacent games, because at the end of the day this game's main attraction is its characters and story, not the dungeon management, although that part is still a lot of fun. Obviously, playing with Shiravune's patch is a must as well. Overall, I recommend…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty good game, but only if you download the extra patch from Shiravune's (publisher's) site. For some reason when releasing the game on Steam they removed the VN part which is the most interesting part of the game (not even the H-scenes which are kinda bland and too long with nothing happening in them, but all the events between characters). Without the patch you have dungeon development and defense battles where you setup traps and squads in your dungeon and then invite enemies and defeat…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It depends on the game as many will argue for those cases. In something like Suzukuri Dungeon, I'd probably lean towards not really honestly. If I were to think back on all the character relations and story, it's not really that vital. Dohna Dohna I'd say is a bit more important

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →#the good thing the mc and heroines conversation is kinda good #neutral kinda grindy #the bad thing the bad things for me are heroines because this game focuses on petite characters, if only the characters are like Dungeon Legion set in medieval era but most heroines wearing bikini like costume the ratings, it's hard to mix damage and fun no append patch, all heroines that i like are in append
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →23. Fuu from Suzukuri Dungeon very good and fun eroge tower defense game was on the fence whether to pick her or Karin but I REALLY like Fuu's design and since shes the first girl you meet I ended up connecting more with her
unlabelledView post →If you have to read reviews to decide if this game is for you, it's not for you. It wasn't for me either, seems like the only people who enjoy this "game" are Japanese Voice Actor fans who are just after their next fix.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Suzukuri Dungeon: Karin in the Mountain is a fantasy strategy and dungeon management game developed by KarinProject and published by Shiravune that mixes several genres into one surprisingly addictive experience. Combining elements of tower defense, simulation, resource management, and visual novel storytelling, the game creates a unique gameplay loop centered around building and protecting a dungeon while interacting with a cast of colorful fantasy characters. Although its anime-inspired…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game feels like missed potential, it's just way too grindy and the dungeon is too small, there isn't a lot of room for creativity. The main problem is the turn limit which forces you to restart when it runs out, and you can't even inherit your gold and buildings in the new loop. The game basically demands you to grind the same stuff over and over just to level up your characters, so multiple forced restarts are inevitable. In the end it's gotten so annoying that I decided to use cheat…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game crashes about ~20 minutes in, and I lose all my progress. Menu is in japanese, so I just clicked random stuff until I got it to be full screen borderless. I heard the gog version works, but I can't be asked to give it another chance.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →*Grab a patch The game is little grindy but fun replayability. I enjoy the story as well.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There is this thing where I tried to play the game but somehow, the mouse kept blinking throughout the whole gameplay most of the time that makes this game unbearable to play. However, the visual novel aspect of the game still works properly that you may be able to read the story quite fine. But that's the thing, after reading the story for a very long time, you would wonder why the game is barely playable to some desktop machines... What's more, the advanced settings aren't even localized…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →boring game and lot of bugs. i dont know why i cant use karin
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game even if it's a bit grindy, most stuff is carried over to new game plus so it only takes me a few minutes to get back to a rough point before the reset. Artwork is great, patch easy to go snag, voice acted well even the dog girl barks and it's so cute, ton of dialog (I'm at 35% of events at 15 hours). Advanced options are in Japanese but you wont really need them and it's easy to figure them out or just use an image translator if you really need to. Definitely one of the better Japanese…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its fun, a bit grindy.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Recommend this game for suzukuri dragon fans, at discount Without the nostalgia factor, I imagine it'd be a very mid game. I've 100% the game here are some review points: Must install official patch : After install the ADV part is missing, you absolutely need the patch from the official website must be put into the game folder to unlock the ADV part. The ADV part is like an average visual novel, all characters were reasonably charming but none particularly memorable. Gameplay loop is highly…
