If you ever enjoyed any of those games back in the arcades, then you'll love this. Needs more events, though. I hope the game is a success - it deserves to stand out in the pit of 'Steam Slop'...

That's the question many of you are wondering so i will try to answer that: 100m dash : Doable for all ages but kids will be frustrated by the tripping mechanic when you press same button twice. (you are supposed to alternate between A and B and it can be quite hard to do that fast) Boll Toss: A favorite for all ages. even smaller children learn this relatively fast. Hoops: Small children? I enjoy it marginally and my kids think it's ok but the reason I can't give this a recommendation is the AI is way to aggressive. My kids and I tried several different ways to do a lot of the events and the AI just blew us out of the water by massive margin. So playing against bots is no fun but what about playing in groups. I was pressing enter to start the game for a couple of minutes. then i saw a race start, i thought the game started somehow, however it was just an AFK screen and went back to the broken main menu. the loading screen literally has a lag, which is bad for a pixel game title. this is not large that should have input lag like that. and for the price of it, it's not a good deal by any means. i love trying indie titles and pixel games, but this one is not it

I was hesitant to pick it up due to the mixed reviews, but I bought it during a sale. My friends and I played Super Sportmatchen for the first time last night and we all thought it was good. It is a great homage to the 80s arcade games, but with its own unique charm. I highly recommend it for local 4 player fun.

The controls aren't well mapped; have fun trying to mash A and B to run, instead of anything that would make sense. Additionally, the pacing is not well done; there's no way to skip text during an event, and the length of events varies widely (basket ball is a couple of minutes, the dash is a few seconds.) Disappointing at best; would not recommend.

If you're a fan of Track & Field on the NES, and looking for some nostalgia... look no further! Maybe next we can get World Class Track Meet with the Power Pad XD.

Climbing, basketball, and the ball toss were all party favorites. Seeing a friend max out the multiplayer in Slingshot was one of the most impressive gaming achievements I've ever seen. Remote Play Together makes it super easy for everyone to connect and play if you can't meet up in person.

Some of the games have a steep learning curve, but the game doesn't give you much time to learn before unceremoniously failing you. But, the graphics are endearing. So many small details that just make my day when I see them, and all characters have their own personalities it's so cute! These is only one little issue that playing with any controller other that xbox means you have to memorise which button maps to xbox's A, B and Y buttons.
