positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is some next level weird sh^t but absolutely hilarious! If you ever seen the movie "The Thing" by John Carpenter it's like that in a game of "Getting Over It". It's fun and will have you laughing your a$$ off; highly recommended.

Overall Rating - Painfully Bad ★☆☆☆☆ First Impressions I didn't originally activate Struggling (SG) because it looked absolutely disgusting, and despite the positive reviews, didn't seem like it'd make for a fun experience. However, a new female friend I made through Steam expressed interest in doing a coop run of it.…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It’s been awhile since a game repulsed me. Not in a gruesome or transgressive way, just in a way that’s unenjoyable thanks to frustrating controls and its unfunny execution. Don’t get me wrong, it’s clear in its intent and you’ll know how you feel about it early on. However, it’s very unappealing and is a reminder as to why these sorts of games are better as experiments rather than full releases. If you like overcoming frustration, maybe you’ll find something worthwhile. I don’t.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and adopted our son together. They are now both 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I found myself lost and miserable. I was self destructive. I got so mad one day from everything spiraling out of my control that I punched some concrete in a moment of overwhelming emotion. That caused me to break my 5th metacarpal in my right hand... my working hand... my games hand.. the hand that I held and carried my children to bed with.. The…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Struggling is a great game but I can see how the art can turn people away. Personally though, I thought it was funny and unique and only made the game more interesting. The gameplay is mostly revolved around your partner and you fumbling to get to the next area. You each control an arm on this abomination and have to use it to pull/climb/jump places. There's a little bit of puzzle aspect in it but not really. We got stumped a few times, some being we couldn't figure out what to do, while…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →People call this a Getting Over It clone but it's really not that much like it, it's way more like Heave Ho. It's a similar concept to Heave Ho with a story. It's a good/bad mixture as a result. I played this almost exclusively in co-op with a friend so I'm not sure how it really is as a single player game. Comparing this to Heave Ho, I thought Heave Ho had better controls. There were a good amount of times where arms would get twisted. Sometimes you're just taking time trying to get one arm…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is one of the most Unique and Strangest Games i have played, I highly recommend this game !!! positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really don't get why this game isn't more popular. It has much more to offer than "Getting Over It". You basically progress in a sometimes gross yet beautiful universe. This with excellent soundtracks and nightmarish controls (at least without a controller). Rarely, you get powers that add different mechanics. From time to time, you get a refreshing completely different gameplay. The game is hard, yet doable. It's fun to play with someone else or alone. Overall, I 100% recommend it, if…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No game has ever made me feel as uncomfortable as I felt playing this co-op with my partner.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I get it that horrible controls and constant frustration is kinda the point of this game, but I just can't endure. It's super unfun for me and my fingers hurt after playing for 20 minutes. I played only single, maybe in coop it's much more fun, dunno. Certainly don't recommend it if you want to play solo.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you don't struggle enough in life then this is the game for you! Struggle alone or have a friend help you through this hectically crazy and funny game, I now know who my true friends are. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great local co-op game & fresh ideas after nearly every bigger puzzle section. It's a shame there aren't more games like this.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its the name of the game. A limp appendage paired with a convulsive one guiding a blind con-jointed heads named Troy and Hector that both can scream and yell for various reasons but seems to be their primary source of communication. Additionally, both have individual styles of apparel. During this journey they fight in the modern Left vs Right showdown in order to inch & crawl towards some middle ground. A frustrating hilarious masterpiece. 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is definitely very weird. I started to play it with my wife having low expectations. Then it gradually got better. The grotesque humor was definitely up our alley. We laughed aloud, celebrated, cherished all the fun details. Now it's a valued gem in our library we gladly look back to. And even today we listen to the Flesh Opera Cries of the Firstborn if we want to reminisce about the fun we had. Would definitely recommend if you have a coop partner and like the humor!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I do not own this game, but my friend had me remote play together with him. The artwork, sounds, and general atmosphere are grotesque in the best way possible. I absolutely love this game, and love how it is a cohesive passion project where every element meshes so well together. In the heat of the moment it is very frustrating and difficult, but then you got lost in the goofy story (that leaves many questions) and before you know it, you start going for all the SeCrEt... SEEEECRET.. secret!'s
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Literally in my top 10 of all time. I 100% the game on switch and I bought it again on steam. It’s pretty simple and short but consistently fun. Despite being a game designed to make you die it doesn’t feel unfair in most places. Fun characters too. I will be 100%ing it a second time
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Play this if you want the experience of learning how to walk while having your legs amputated
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played with remote play together had zero issues and a great laugh! Trial of friendship but we made it. Would recommend
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great couch coop game to play with your loved one (is there anything more romantic than a disgusting 2 headed abomination?), or just your bff. Is a platformer where the greatest challenge is to move correctly. Like "roboskate" or "getting over it". Nonetheless is not frustrating, as it has many checkpoints, and the game teaches you the mechanics little by little. I got it in my Humble Choice subscription, and was surprised after playing it for the first time how entertaining it has been.…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Criminally underrated
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is alright, as a co-op game it's a fun test of endurance and teamwork, I'd say that it's not very difficult as a rage game, the controls are hard to use but after a few hours you figure out the limitations of what you can do. In terms of presentation I think this game does a pretty solid job, the artstyle is fun and cartoony, the music is pretty good, there really is no story in here, more just a series of locations woven together that serve to challenge you with varying obstacles,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am extremely impressed with the variety and consistent quality in this. I am not even a fan of brutally hard games. But this has won me over on all accounts.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really enjoyed this game, I liked the wacky humour and the boss fights were really enjoyable, it's challenging but not as stress inducing as other games it's been compared too, maybe I just had a good partner
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Almost overwhelmingly frustrating at times but decent overall and cathartic to get through the tough spots with a partner.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This Game gave me Heart Attacks even in the first Level, brilliant! If you wanna proof your relationship and communication Skills AND have a Heart Attack cause a flood of Rats chasing you down while your wife screams at you, then its the Game for you.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Struggling to get excited about a car that looks like it should be driven by a mid-tier criminal boss in a vaguely futuristic PS2 game.
unlabelledView post →Such a stupid game. I've never seen my wife laugh so much while playing a game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played this originally on another platform and found it really fun! The art style, presentation and music of Struggling questions "What if Dr. Dimento, Aaahh!!! Real Monsters, Troma, and Tiny Tim did a game collab?" If you have to Google search who or what those entities are, then this game may not be for you. If you do know then you will more than likely have a good laugh with it. In terms of gameplay however... I'm a glutton for punishment, and this is not a pick-up and play game. There…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got this in a humble bundle? I feel like this game would have done great on Newgrounds in the early 2000s. I get what it's trying to do but the controls are too frustrating / inconsistent and the checkpoints too badly placed to want to continue with this one.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"Hilariously Frustrating Fun" Struggling is chaotic, gross, and absolutely brilliant. The awkward, physics-based controls are the whole point — making every small victory feel huge. Playing in co-op is especially fun (and funny), and the art and humor are unforgettable. If you like weird, challenging games, this one’s a gem.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Okay, I like the idea of this game, the voluntarily awkward controls, the grotesque artstyle, the humor ... but why oh why does this game need to have sequences where you have to hurry? The weird controls are difficult at the best of times but when you have to escape a swarm of rats while trying to remember how to control the arms, it just becomes impossible. The janky physics don't help, more often than not I've had an arm get stuck, losing me a few precious seconds while death came. And…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's an odd game, but a welcome one. 10/10 would recommend
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →VERY HARD BUT WELL DETAILED AND IM JUST BAD
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A 2 player game with no mutiplayer. Only remote play that never works right. well done.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's always a pleasure to struggle. ™
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is like a weird dream/trip, the fun kind, where you know you are dreaming but still kinda have control over your body. Key word there is kinda.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not recommended, but so close to being great. My experience is solely based on co-op play. To start, this is an interesting style of game (similar to Heave Ho) with great graphics, decent audio and neat level design. There are just enough elements as you advance to make it an evolving challenge in fresh locations. We really liked the boss interactions and puzzle elements. Sadly, the controls combined with the player animations leave you feeling like the arms get jumbled at the shoulders way…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Uhhh games is ok, suffers from developer bellcurve though. Where the first levels suck because they aren't good at making games yet, then mid-game the levels are amazing! Then end game levels suck because the developers are getting bored and impatient working on the game. blueprint level wtf? Story is ok, the final boss was amazing, but the ending was super unsatisfying. (Spoiler) you dip some grub dude into acid? Who tf was that guy and what was his importance to the story? Troy's mission is…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cooperative physics based shenanigans, very nice
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute game marred by bad checkpointing repeating annoying tasks over and over again to get back to the point where you can quickly fail.
