I really appreciate the effort, here, honest. The game looks good. It takes a bit to start up, but once I get to the menu it runs well. There's just something off with the gameplay, though, that makes it so I'm not enjoying it. This has taken some thought, but in short Stellar Warfare has so much going on mechanically that it seems to devolve into a MOBA instead of an RTS. On paper it's neat to be able to customize your forces. In theory it should allow you to tailor your fleet options to fit…

Wow, I am kind of Speechless. I went in not expecting much. Played the Tutorial and was able to easily grasp how to play the game. I enjoy space games and RTS games and this was actually Really good. Pros: Easy to Learn Can Customize Ships Reminds me of a Classic Command and Conquer Style in Space Base Building Is Great I got really focused in the game for a few hours, lost track of time Has a Small Campaign (Have not played yet but will update when I play it.) *It has Loot Boxes, BUT WAIT!…

Lots of good things about this game - I'd give it a mixed rating if it were possible - but the question is "would I recommend" and for the moment, the answer is no. Things I like: + Customisable fleet and ships You can equip any ship with any weapon(s) and equipment, and compose your fleet build-list how you please. There seems to be a huge variety in weapons and ships, which are discovered through gameplay - adding an element of long-term progression. + Physical Projectiles Cannon and…

I don't mean to trash this game, as it's beautiful to watch and has a lot to room to grow. Sadly it doesn't cut it for me. Gameplay is to simplistic, there's a bunch of unlocks and some rock-paper-scissors gameplay to it, but basically it's just blob a large enough force and shove it at the enemy. Your ships will travel to firing distance and then just sit there, not taking any evasive actions and with more or less senseless formations, were all ships will just sit on a grid, not trying to…

Game gets a bad review for being so restrictive. Game has like 50+ ships for you to use which is awesome, but then the game for absolutely no reason says "sorry, you can only use 10 of these units in a game". Wow. So incredibly stupid and a giant slap in the face. I should be able to use all the ships if I want, and not be restricted to use just 10. Also building more of the same building for some dumb reason increases the amount of money it costs to produce, making the economy a complete chore…

I play Skirmish, bot 45, and if I haven't taken out the enemy outpost in the first 10 minutes of the game, (Which is me rushing Habitats and throwing a large wave of corvettes at the base) I'm overwhelmed with infinite destroyers spewing fourth from the bot. It's a little absurd that my opponent seems to have infinity resources at all times, even when I have more resource structures. Other then the bugged bots, the game seems fine.

Having a blast so far! Helping to mend a heart broken by the abomination that is HW3.. This game has sooo much potential & deserves way more promotion. The comparison to Warzone 2100 (ah the fuzzy mems) is completely apt. Super jazzed to see where this goes. Would be willing to buy cosmetic ship build sets to support devs... & that is something i do not say often.

At first I was going to rate this game low; the game is pretty jank in many ways. Buildings dont construct sometimes because future buildings intersect with their location. The UI is pretty odd. The controls are sometimes a bit wack. I was even thinking about refunding the game. But then I started getting into the ship combat, and this is where the game truly shines. It's just pure fun to build ships and watch the space battles take place in real time. It's cool seeing all of the different…

The tutorial SUUUUUUCKS! Not enough explanation of commands. The control definition screen in the main menu seems to missing some basic command key combos. GUI is far from intuitive. The game would profit from a good help file or even the ability to review in game messages to catch the text you missed.. The camera controls are clunky. The game goes out of its way to ask you play the tutorial and then presents one that I found to be hard to navigate, frustrating and not very informative. I found…

The core combat system works. It's basically Off-brand Homeworld + ship customization (which I like). But the rest of the game is built around tedious gating mechanics. Resource production and resource storage buildings increase in cost, so you spend a lot of time waiting for resources. Ship hulls, weapons, and modules are locked behind random loot drops. It feels like something that will get very repetitive very quickly if the devs don't reconsider this approach. I want the devs to take it as…

Hello! This must be my 5th review in 10 years maybe? This is a great game I had in wishlist for long time, but I was doubtful to buy it. And I'm glad I finally bought it! The dev is very nice and open to both criticism and new ideas, which is a bonus point for any game! Now to the game itself, to be honest, I went back to my childhood with HomeWorld series games when playing this, might be a bit simpler or easier, but it takes the spirit very well. It has epic cinematic battles and…

The game isn't bad by any means, however, I feel like the video's need to better show off how the combat and general scale of the game actually looks. For a time before trying the game I had thought the game was more or less like Stellaris, or something akin to Sins of a Solar Empire. But was rather disappointed by the general map size/scale. The game seems much smaller than I had anticipated. That's by no means a bad thing, but I will say I personally prefer a larger scale scenario. Overall,…

This game is brilliant for an early access. You can tell that the dev’s both love space strategy game and have built a game they love to play. It has elements from many brilliant strategy games of the same type with some nice, new and interesting mechanics. This game has a LOT of potential, it is very much worth the investment now as I would expect the price to go up. The wave defence mode is also a nice touch, very fun. Greetings Again! I’ve been looking at “Stellar Warfare” for quite a while as I love RTS and Space RTSs even more. I did have some concerns; development seems slow but consistent, being done by a single person. The game also seems to promise the exact game that many of us have been hoping for. So what did I think? Let’s discuss! World where the Home is: Are we returning to the glory days of the RTS? I’m seeing more and more RTS being announced and by great fans of the genre no less.…

First of all I want to say something about the Reviews here, because for me and maybe others, those are really important to get some more details beside the "Marketing Text" and shiny pictures and videos from the shop page AND about early access related to those reviews. I have to admit my first impression of this game was that it held promise but was worried it would wind up being just another disappointment. I followed the development and even joined the discord server to keep an eye on it. I finally feel comfortable leaving a review for this game after having owned it since it's launch into EA. It started out pretty rough but I loved the look and concept. Controls and camera just felt janky and off, things were hard to control and while it looked pretty it just wasn't very refined at the time. The game's an absolute blast; being able to design your own ships is so much fun, and I think unique to the RTS genre right now. The full 3d space maneuverability is excellent and implemented really well; it's easy to send ships where you want them, and the ship-to-shop and ship-to-building combat is very satisfying. Perhaps this is just me, but it is just my opinion. I can not recommend this title. The campaign feels very unbalanced and notfun. The 3D space controls feel "off", and getting oriented is just jank. The title feels like it wants to be in a 3D space, but was built with a 2D flat plane. So far I'd definitely recommend it. Just be aware that you're buying a passion project from (what I've read) a single developer, so it's a bit rough around the edges in certain areas, such as unbeatable missions if you get too confident in pumping up a missions' difficulty. Otherwise I love just how many different ship hulls and weapon types there are to unlock, even if it's difficult to really be sure what works better than other weapons of the same 'damage-types'. However the camera gets a tad annoying and with the default settings its a little hard to move the camera and command ships to go to different heights. Very cool passion project. Should be intuitive to anyone familiar with homeworld. The ship AI does okay at taking care of itself, never really saw a ship sitting there sucking its thumb while being shot without reacting by moving away and "Engaging" with the enemy. I like how the shields are implemented. Thinking about your fleet composition is rewarded with your fleet functioning pretty good on its own with your job mostly being economy and ordering new stuff instead of micro.

The level of potential customization with ship classes, weapons, and leveling produces a pretty decent replay appeal. Excited to see what other features/modes the dev adds to this one. This game gives a different approach to a lot of RTS starship simulators. It's honestly too bad that this game did not become as popular as Stellaris or Battlefleet Gothic Armata. This game deserves to be up there. This game is actually 3D, so actual space combat. This game also has good mechanics. The only thing I don't like about this game is a lot of customization and different classes, which I found redundant, but if you like highly customizable contents, this one is for you.

If you could raise the unit limit that would also be great for larger battles, 40 is a bit too little. there Wave Defense Is currently more or less the balance to the missing AI also makes good fun with friends. Battle Royal Not played…

S-Tier 3rd person RTS. Definitely a challenge and a bit of a learning curve but 10/10 Recommendation

This Game keeps getting better and better and better, soon it may grow to something much bigger. Suggestion, add some way to buid up and grow the basic base into a fortress - super-fortress - starfortress - etc.
