unlabelledView post →I've been waiting for this game for a long, long time. Got it installed and went through the tutorial, and the game seems incredibly fun, but there is one issue for me personally that is sadly a deal breaker. I have a bit of nerve damage in both hands, and it makes using a controller non-viable and certain key combinations difficult for me to use reliably. In just about every other game I play, if there's a key or keys that I need to rebind for easier use, it's never been an issue. This game…

unlabelledView post →It's time to end the arguments, they've gone on much too long. Here is the definitive ranking of Star Wars: 1. Star Wars (film, 1977) 2. Star Wars (comic book series, 1977-present) 3. Star Wars (video game, 1983) 4. Star Wars (novelisation, 1976) 5. Star Wars (proposed missile defence system, 1983)

unlabelledView post →My son was playing a Star Wars game online with friends & I overheard him say, "I bet bystanders watching a Jedi fight think, 'There goes another one of those assholes with a light saber tearing shit up again' ". Now when I watch anything Star Wars I think about the guy just trying to get home.

unlabelledView post →Somehow, Ben Quadinaros returned. And when I saw that he was a selectable racer, I thought "this is where the fun begins". Glad we finally got a new Star Wars racing game outside of arcades and the nintendo 64 after 27 years. It's like Wipeout + Burnout + Motorstorm all had a baby together and sent it out to the world in Star Wars cosplay. Cons: There is no way to rebind keys. There is no quick race function for singleplayer. There is no local splitscreen. We also lack the ability to host…

unlabelledView post →It's a £30 game masquerading as a £50 one. It doesn't have a lot of content or map variety but it is an enjoyable experience, I'm paying on KB/M and I'm having zero trouble only downside you can't remap controls. I'm glad I got it cheaper on a 3rd party site All in all. Wait for a sale

unlabelledView post →Genuinely wanna like this game the racing felt great. But in the perspective of someone thats minutes from heading to work and wanting to hop into a quick race to feel it out I'm sorely disappointed. There's a campaign with cutscenes, a scenario mode, and time trials. Pod Racing is locked to online play only from what I could see. There is NO singleplayer mode where you can simply pick a track and vehicle and just race. HOW DO YOU NOT INCLUDE A SIMPLE SINGLE RACE FEATURE?? I hope this is…

unlabelledView post →Its fun dont get me wrong. And its nice to finally see another Star Wars racing game. However, we need local splitscreen and custom multiplayer lobbies. The ability to load into a game with a friend and race eachother on choosable maps would be a game changer. This could be huge if these options were implemented. Please devs listen to the community!

unlabelledView post →The game is good. Must have if you enjoyed Star Wars Episode 1 Racer in 1999. The content is a bit barebones, right now, especially in the Pod Racing. More tracks, planets, and racers would be a welcome addition. Customization is decent, albeit minimal. Overall, no complaints to me in what I have played so far. Performance, etc seems to be alright. If they end up do adding more planets, tracks, and the full lineup of racers from Episode 1, similar to how it was done in the game from 1999,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not a terrible game, but not a great game. Extremely generic racing where you have to mash the boost button every second to race at a normal speed. No where near the quality of the Podracer game which is crazy. We came this far with gaming and can't even beat an N64 game in quality. Everything is the standard star wars pick a card to get buffs while an n64 game let you choose parts to replace and you could see those parts. Tracks were longer, speeds were higher, intensitiy and difficulty were…

unlabelledView post →I grew up on Episode 1 Racers and loved the game dearly. This is not that. Yes it has a hand full of pods, but they were an after thought, they are fast and the scenery is decent but that's where it ends. I tried to give it a fair shake and went through the entire first season. Honestly it feels like a shell of a game, your not walking the part yard picking out components your getting a short list of upgrades on tiles like a mobile game. The racing has abilities that ruin the feel of the race.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Have seen some criticism of the Roguelite structure of Galactic Racer and outside of specifics I could not agree less. The mechanic dovetails well with the general vibe of vehicles in Star Wars (bullshit that breaks all the time and explodes) and it keeps the game feeling competitive.
