Beware of the wrong tags for this game. This game is NOT singleplayer or coop. It's pure MMO. So don't be disappointed when buying this. You are in permanent competition with other players for the best places for your base and the resource deposits. You're not alone. Also resource stealing happens. I was blocked by two other players while trying to mine resources. There is no also setting for single or coop play. I participated in the beta test and do have 20+ hours of playtime. During…

Hello Shrio, Thank you for creating a space‑factory game. After 133 hours of play and reaching Level 15, I’ve decided to step away. For me, the core gameplay loop—rebuilding bases and searching for shipwrecks on planets that don’t feel distinct or interesting—has become monotonous. The automation system shows real promise, but nearly every design choice seems to work against it. Manual crafting is the fastest method, when logically it should be the slowest. Shuttles should outperform…

This game has no idea what it wants to be. It's an MMO, with MMO limits. It's an MMO, but you don't interact with other people beyond seeing their name tags on your screen. You have to build buildings, but you can't deconstruct until level 2 -- don't misplace anything. It's an MMO so you're limited to 3 bases and a tiny footprint per base. You have to build stuff but you have a tiny daily sales limit of 1000 credit/day. Outside your base you're taxed per thing you craft. That tax doesn't…

Not sure if I can recommend it or not. The game loop is okay, but it gets very slow. If you are buying it to play “single-player,” stay off this. There is no single-player at all. Apparently, the devs mean you don’t need to interact with other people, but this seems to be misleading a lot. First of all, there is no single-player. There is only multiplayer, and it seems like you are also forced to have a corporation/guild to get anywhere because you alone are limited to two bases. Two bases…

Right now, Space Craft feels like a heavily stripped-down version of No Man's Sky that substitutes actual gameplay content with artificial time sinks. The core loop lacks challenge and skill expression, relying instead on frustrating structural limitations to slow player progress. Absence of Early Storage: Launching a resource-gathering game without immediate base storage options is a massive oversight. Forcing players to carry everything for the first several hours kills the gameplay…

Upd. after 64h. If you are planning to play alone, I do not recommend it. There are too many small issues and rough edges in the game right now. The progression is very slow, especially considering that this is an MMO-style game. Maybe some people will enjoy that pace, but for me the game feels unfinished and boring at times. So, what are you actually going to spend your time on? 1/4 of the time: waiting for crafting. I literally fell asleep several times while things were being crafted. 1/4…

Developers force solo players to be unable to reach end-game by artificially locking endgame content behind the inability to sell your items to a station. Credits are refilled at 1000 credits/day, and the end game unlock cost anywhere from 25-50k credits, meaning waiting around for up to 50 days just to buy an unlock. This appears to direct players to using the trade nexus (player economy), but in the current state theres no way for a solo player to engage with this market without being part of…

Imagine taking one small gameplay loop from No Man's Sky, removing the exploration, variety, atmosphere, and sense of discovery, then stretching that one mechanic across an entire game. That's basically SpaceCraft. The first couple of hours make you think there's something bigger waiting around the corner. There isn't. You mine, craft, fly to another rock, mine some more, craft some more, and repeat until you realize you've already seen the entire gameplay loop. Being Early Access isn't the…

I have no idea why people say this game isn't capable solo. One review said you can't leave the starter zone without building a base, which is just untrue. I was able to explore another sector and do quests without doing any construction. There is also plenty of nodes on every planet, there is no competition for resources. Another reviewer said the battery recharge is too long, which means he never made a better battery, which you can make with starter materials. The person saying Iron is…

Absolutely not. This game is peak Shiro Corpo speak when it comes to communications and resolving any issues in any capacity. The community is more toxic than cs2 + dota + league combined, and the cheaters are rampant beyond anything. The issues plaguing the game will never be resolved and the team knows it hence why they do not allow community managers or q&a's to address anything in any capacity. In a few weeks as of this, the game might have a hundred or so players and no amount of content…

After 35 hours of cumulative playtime, I think that almost all of the negative reviews can explained by this: You either perceive flying through space to scout planets for resources and extracting them as a grind, or as a relaxing activity with the occasional moment of exitement when you find a rare item (like a gem) in a harvestable resource (like an ore node). Spacecraft, at least in its current state, is not an action game. I'd say it's currently the "space-game-enthusiast" equivalent of a…

Keep in mind this review is from a solo player. As the game gets bigger and/or you have other people to play with, you will definitely have a different experience. Anyway... I can't really recommend it. I had fun with the game, I mined stuff, expanded my first ship to the point of being able to fly further and not struggle with cargo space. But at the same time I feel kinda... disillusioned with the game. I knew it was an MMO with a focus on group play. But I hoped I could do more while…

Updated after 30-ish hours. The game is still improperly tagged as both single player and MMO. The tutorial is technically single player but the whole rest of the game is an MMO. As for the negative reviews about the game lacking content or depth - It's not that there's a lack of content, its that it takes dozens of hours to reach it, even with a group. Personally I'm a fan of this kind of grind (especially since there's no way to bypass it with spending) but folks coming into this with…

For SOLO play. The solo is restricted to online timing. Plants require 30 hours to mature so you have to play for 30 hours, your game has to be active for that time. 5+ Lab analyzing requires 12 hours per so again your game has to be active for 60+ hours. Most people only play for several hours per day. Depending on your game time this could take weeks to months to complete. Its like they are forcing you to play online.

It hasn't even mentioned the base/factory building aspect that looks awesome in the trailer. There are two types of Early Access: 1. Developers use some time and your money to make a great game 2. Developers use a great game idea to make as much money as possible and leave, sometimes creating the illusion of development without making any real progress for months or even years, just to maximize profits This is the second one.

I REALLY want to like this game, but the grind - UGH the grind!! It's just too much for this middle-aged man to suffer through. I have precious few hours per week to spend frying my eyeballs, and sitting idle for minutes at a time waiting on refineries to refine, workshops to work, and laboratories to... Uh... Calling this game single player is like calling Guild Wars or World of Warcraft single player. Sure, you can just run around on your own, but this is a MMO and focused so heavily on material grinding that it absolutely kills any kind of value for enjoying the game. You will compete immediately for early resources, which are scarce enough, and are easily punished early game for not knowing how to progress. At the start this game had almost everything I was looking for: Exploration, Mining, and Base Building. I am playing as a single player Corpo maintaining 12 Corpo bases and 3 personal bases. I really wanted to like this game, but after spending around 10 hours grinding to get even the most basic stuff, this game is just an infuriating yak-shaving excersize that has no pay off, and that learns nothing from the genres that it's trying to combine. Grind. Slow progression, store and trailer market it as a exploration factory builder. It's very light on the factory building, not much depth too it and lots of restrictions. The exploration in there I guess but the time sink required to make a ship capable of going deep into the other zones is steep. Buy this and play it if you have time to waste. I gave it a good 60hrs and realized i wasn't having fun... why the hell would i play a game i'm not really having fun with?

Tentative recommend. This is one those games that takes a LONG time to get to anything interesting, the slow burn in this one is very, very, VERY slow, even by MMO standards. There's a whole empire/corporation building aspect to the game, but most people, without abundant patience, will never see that side of the game. The reviews were only so-so, but I decided to take a chance anyway, and I’m really glad I did. After about 7+ hours, I’m absolutely loving the game. Sure, it's early access and there's already lots to do, but it will only get better from here as well. I definitely recommend it.

so far it has been very enjoyable, i think the competition is great, as it creates a sense of scarcity rather than just everyone getting all the best stuff, many people probably wont like it, but at the same time, those of us who do will pour more time and effort into it, my biggest issue so far, and this is more so a personal preference rather than a game breaking bug or anything, is that the camera is also tied to the ships steering, and the only want to unlock it is to hold right click, but…

zI have been trying for many hours to like this game... My honest review and recommendation is DON'T BUY YET. Overall I think this game could be good, maybe even great. Especially with the promise of this game being PVE with combat against NPC's. IMHO the devs have made some very detrimental decisions to this game. Some major things need to change or this game is going nowhere. EVERYTHING in this game is extremely time gated... so much so that the a single fully automated item can…

This game has big ambitions, but presently I'm not seeing them come to fruition. There are a few glaring issues that have me wanting to leave it be until it's been updated significantly. Everything seems designed just to eat your time. Ship boost? Run your battery dry and wait for it to recharge. Mining? Manage your heat and battery and woefully insufficient storage, which all takes time. Crafting? Sit in front of a machine and watch the same animation run until you've either refined all…

Great little game. This is what I’d call a true chill-out experience. It’s not the kind of game that keeps you on the edge of your seat; instead, it’s all about relaxing in space, building, exploring, and progressing at your own pace without any unnecessary stress. If I had to describe it, I’d say it feels like No Man’s Sky, Elite Dangerous, EVE Online, and Satisfactory somehow had a baby, and the result is surprisingly enjoyable.

If you want heavy handed world building with no weight, this is the game for people that don't know No Man's Sky exists. Nothing engaging, grind. Just grind. Wants to be a game that already exists, and exists better. If you want this gameplay, just play No Man's Sky.

Yes, this world needs more MMOs, especially poorly optimized, with worse server connections than scammers from non-distinct countries, trolls blocking your initial progress and a tutorial that shows 0 of what the actual game would be. /s The MMO audience is VERY and VERY limited. why make a fully good concept and force it to the most limiting aspect, servers and internet connections. damn. Dune Awakening took 90% audience cut because of MMO, but here we are, another single player game turned…

felt like the game had good potiential in the beginning and then it just got to repetitive and the crafting is absolutely a slog ... i want to have automation and let things automatically craft without having to stand at a machine for what felt like forever ... once u start getting into more complicated fabrication things get so much worse ... sure if u want to build a base and tear it down every other day u can cheese technological points to advance but its a terrible game design ... you…
