negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game has a 60FPS-lock, no borderless window mode and no Anti-Aliasing. I injected SMAA using Reshade to solve the lack of AA(the game seems to be using OpenGL). Forcing MSAA through Nvidia/AMD drivers might work too. A very mixed bag of good and bad, but this game ultimately falls on 2 big things: - Grind: You get credits for every mission you complete, and the missions can be re-played for another set of credits. You often need parts/upgrades you don't have access to when first unlocking a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Badly designed tower defense variation. Your result depends on your ability to click fast, and you will be doing that a lot, since it requires a lot of micromanagement. Probably to make you feel something is happening. Very often though, no matter how fast you click, you will just lose parts and will be rearranging and rebuilding very often.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Like many negative reviews have said, this game needs a freakin' pause button. There's just too much going on, all around you, and too much micro-managing of your weapons and systems to deal with it. Also, the game crashes a lot; like, every 3rd or 4th mission it will crash, forcing you to start that mission all over. (You cannot save mid-mission). In fact, I finally uninstalled the game because it crashed once again and I was sick and tired of it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You cannot progress after you are about half way through as there is one necessary level that is bugged 'Asteroids on Steroids'. Many people online have the same issue (game crashes before the level ends) and it has been completely unresolved.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like the game but I don't like the gameplay. It is a sort of twist on tower defense and it looks great. But on the downside this is a micromanagement game rather than a strategy game. There are a few upgrades but they are impossible to fit. It feels like you are always failing after a few levels. Everything is getting blown up and you have constantly rebuild your ships guns. Then you have to click them and reorient them with the mouse wheel, like 20 guns at once. I would have rather had 20…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would really like to recommend this game. It is a nice idea, but lack of the ability to pause and general balance of the game put focus not on strategy, but on clicking as quickly as you can and memorizing what will be the direction and the type of the next attack. Improvising and adapting work for first levels, but after that you don't have time to improvise and being creative is not enough to not be crashed by the enemy. You can't stop clicking on things even for a second.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Space-run is way more a memory, micro-management and grinding game than a tower defense game. You have many delivery missions to accomplish and depending on your speed and the state of your delivery packages, you get from 1 to 5 stars at the end of the mission. You also get money. You can redo the mission any number of times to get more money each time, and possibly get more stars if you missed some stars in the previous runs. There are many enemy waves during your delivery, and sometimes a…

(hopefully) Tonight it's going to be a grab bag of games - we are starting out with dusting off Space Run Galaxy, a game from the makers of Ravenswatch! Its fun and it lures me back for another play through now and again. Destruction of the hazards is satisfying and its a thrill to get your ship over the line beating the time (often by using left over cash to boost at last second). Voice acting, dialog and story is polished enough (In English) to be amusing and not annoying. Basic premise is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A good game, but falls in the typical tower defense issue: As difficulty increases, the less and less options you have at your disposal for tackling a mission. You get more towers, more tools, more upgrade, more everything, and as difficulty increases you'll find yourself in situations where placing 1 specific turret on 1 specific spot is the only optimal way for you to tackle the level.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →50/100 1) This game is a grind. You have to play the same missions over and over and over and over etc. to earn the points you need to obtain the upgrades you need to play the next mission. Rinse and Repeat. Grind Grind Grind. 2) Because you'll have to grind, you quickly notice that the enemy waves in each mission approach from the same location. There is no variation. 3) You can't pilot your starship. You can't move up and down. You can't perform loops nor do a barrel roll. Your flight…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice concept, good presentation and great voice acting. Gameplay for me simply isn't fun though, It's micromanagement galore. Upgrading anything didn't feel rewarding because it simply introduced yet more micromanagement. You have to constantly click each piece of your ship and make it do something temporarily. Like activating a certain boost or effect or rearranging it's aim or repairing etc. I wouldn't call this a TD at all, it's not very strategic overall, quick reflexes and fast…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'd probably give this a thumbs-up if you had the ability to give orders while paused.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Space Run is easily one of the most unique games that I have ever played on PC. Combining tower defense with a puzzle game and an RTS makes for an interesting combination. Space Run sees you fitting larger and more complex weapon, defense, and storage tiles onto increasingly more massive ship hulls as you fight off wave after wave of pirates while trying to deliver cargo, nuclear waste, and rich tourists. The tower defense component of the game is engaging - it constantly keeps you on your toes…

I started on this one the other day, but haven't decided if I'm going to play through it or not yet. #spacerungalaxy #videogames #indiegames #gameplay

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Heya folks, here's a 2nd short featuring Space Run. I'm just about finished with this game now. I only have a few more missions left. I'll write up a review for it when it's finished. #spacerun #videogames #indiegames #towerdefense #shorts
unlabelledView post →Space Run, developed by Passtech Games and published by Focus Entertainment, is a clever hybrid of tower defense and real-time strategy that reimagines what defending a route can look like. Rather than placing static towers along a fixed path, the game places you in command of a modular cargo spaceship that must survive increasingly dangerous interstellar delivery routes. The premise is simple but inventive: you are a space courier transporting valuable cargo through hostile sectors, and your…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A blast from the past from the era of good tower defense games. Space Run is 10 years old by now but it still holds up fairly well, both in gameplay and visual presentation. In Space Run you play as Buck Mann, a space pilot that ships cargo to various space stations for his clients. Your job is to make sure that the cargo gets to its destination safe and fast. On your way you have to deal with asteroids and pirates. This game features very unique gameplay. Instead of enemies moving through a…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I think this is a really solid game. I played it on stream with my love a few nights ago and we took turns doing the runs. It was really interesting seeing how we differ in play styles. I'm more a fly by the seat of her pants kinda gal and he's a very logical, need to think this out kinda dude. In conclusion, I think this can be played by anyone that likes these types of games and not feel like only a certain type of player can play.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun towerdefence with some great twists. Still holds up well in 2026. Very cheap for what you get.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've beaten this game on expert difficulty a number of times. Keep coming back to it. Real time puzzle with space ships and pirates. Great game. Recomend. Prefer over sequel.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Solid little game that is more a puzzle game of picking the right weapons and defences and engines at the right time. I enjoyed my time with it anyway.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really fun game to play and something new with tower defence.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun little game that has a twist on tower defence. Fairly easy to get all the achievements within 20-25 hours. i'd say worth full pop, so its a steal of deal on sale. I would put this on my buy list if you're into tower defence games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's...OK, but just barely. There is way too much micromanagement and the more things placed on your ship the harder it is to see any individual component. I thought trying to orient multiple guns mid flight was rough, then I got multiple abilities per "tower" and it just becomes micromanagement hell. You're forced to replay missions as getting a 5 star run the first time is impossible. Specifically because you don't know what types of enemies nor their direction or when they will arrive.…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really great game! The gameplay is really dynamic and rewarding, the characters are all memorable even if they don't have a lot of lines, the longevity is good compared to the price (10+ hours). Overall a great experience
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A neat take on the TD genre. It's not just about placing your guns properly, it's also about putting down the correct engines to do the mission efficiently, speed-wise. You pretty much have to adapt your strategy for each individual level, there is no real dominant strategy that will universally work all of the time. Gets fairly challenging later on. As a fan of TD's, I am definitely glad that I checked this one out.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is a fun little game. I have not hit the problem where it feels like there is only one planned way to finish the missions, so it is entertaining and allows experimentation.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is fun for what is it but holy hell did it absolutely destroyed my PCs display settings, like full on meltdown and wasting half my morning trying to find a fix. Imagine a toddler getting a hold of your display settings and then exploding.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun little game, great value in the sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For the price I payed (£0.89) this game has no right being so good, yet it is. Just binged it for 4 hours and there's still plenty to do. Great value, even at full price.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game. Got it on sale but I would have paid the full price if I had known it was this good. A fun mix of what feels like tower defense with a progression system. Hilarious dialogue. A must play. I normally do not play this type of strategy game, but the game still hook me until the end. Cons: - Short game. Took 12 hours for me to finish the story and get all achievements. - No additional gameplay outside of the main storyline and 3 different type of difficulty.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Your ship is a handful of hex slots and you're constantly trading away engine speed for another laser turret, then rebuilding half of it while asteroids chew through your cargo. There's no pause button, so by the last chapters I was mashing hotkeys to fire off rapid fire on one side while the shield died on the other, which is either your idea of fun or exactly what you should avoid. My real gripe is that the waves spawn in the same spots every run, so five stars usually means failing a level…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game certainly has personality, and I could see it appealing to a certain kind of player, but it just failed to hook me. Sitting there and juggling placements with such limited options in the early game, getting max stars felt more like a puzzle with an intended solution that I might not even have unlocked, than a test of my skills. Above all, though, while it kept me constantly engaged, I found myself having to ask, "Am I really having FUN?"

unlabelledView post →Recommendation Tower defence game about an ex-starpilot making his way in the galaxy as a space freighter. To that end, you’ll strap cargo to your ship -- the layout of which being determined on a mission-by-mission basis -- and defend it from hostile craft and asteroids by placing gun turrets and shields on whatever empty space remains. Decent fun, but nothing particularly special. 6/10

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Space Run is a great mix of action and strategy, where you can make rapid adjustments to your builds on the fly, while under attack from all angles. It's full of good ideas and innovative mechanics that work well together. High difficulties are a bit punishing without a pause/slow time function, but otherwise Space Run is definitely worth your time and money.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Micromanagement is a pain, some good ideas and concepts but feels more RTS than tower defense. Sound is obnoxious and loud. Controls suck. There are some great ideas here, YMMV and you might like it. 45/100

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A great game for fans of clever tower defence that certainly brings something new to the genre. The later levels really shine as standalone puzzles with great payoff when you discover a ship configuration that works. The thrill of perfecting your design prevented any sense of grindiness. Overall, the game rewards some classic strategic skills. Good game overall. A-.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →8/10Neatly designed, challenging, open-ended fun This here's one of those novel takes on tower defence games that isn't a gimmick, but is actually explored start to finish throughout a conceptually tight game. Basically, you put your towers on a ship that moves along a track from depot to destination, and protected by those towers in the centre of your ship is the cargo. You'll get cargo that has to be on the outside, cargo that will explode if damaged, and cargo that needs power, or randomly…
