positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sockventure is a highly polished precision platformer that fans of Super Meat Boy and Celeste will love. You play as Sockhero on a mission to help a child recover missing socks from a cursed washing machine. It’s a bizarre plot, but the gameplay is sublime. It’s clear that a lot of love and care has gone into this game; and that the developers have a great understanding of the genre and what makes an addictive platformer. The 200 levels are meticulously crafted, split into 7 main chapters…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you like Celeste you'll like this basically. It's shorter but a good challenging precision platformer that is a lot of fun throughout, without being an impossible challenge. Has steam leaderboards to challenge fast times, as well as death tracking to go after the nodeath achievements. Overall it's the perfect length for this kind of game, and doesn't tire out at all.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Watch my 5 minute review here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FKfrJ2AL36w Sockventure manages to transform a mundane task like doing laundry into an imaginative platforming adventure through a cursed washing machine. I recommend playing, especially if you’re a fan of precision platformers like Celeste and Super Meat Boy. This is an excellent addition to the genre, and even if you are just looking for a game to pick up for a bit and then put back down, this is a great option. Just be…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really enjoyed the game, might be hard for some newcommers to the platformer scene but if you've 100% celeste minus golden berry, you should be able to beat this game in less than 3 hour. The level design is really good, often make fully use of your capacity especially in the dark world.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yea boiis! Truly the Dark Souls of precision platformers :D
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've beaten the game and in a few words I'll describe it as: "ShOCKingly hard after a few chapters" Now, here are the good and bad points of the game: Good ones: -The game is really fun on its gameplay and story -Pretty good looking graphics. -Catchy gameplay -Good duration. -Good level design Bad ones: -Extremly strange difficulty progression that ends up in a final level that's going to take you probably more than you are expecting to beat. -The end of the story was too direct. -There are…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Why has this game so few reviews? This is a great and fun game, especially on a Steam Deck. The official Steam page shows "unknown" Steam Deck suppport, but it works perfectly. Really recommended !!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is a crime that this isn't more popular. Simple yet refined gameplay and fantastic level design; this is up there with Super Meat Boy and Celeste as one of the greatest indie platformers on Steam. Give it a chance as soon as possible. Also perfect for speedrunning.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wow, just wow. How did devs managed to plagiate Celeste, Super MeatBoy (SMB), Ori, but get rid of everything that made them good? Movements: Clunky. Fluffiness from Ori, inertia from Super Meatboy. Doesn't feel good to move around. Too complex, movements combined all 3 games, so it became a mess. Later levels advanced movements like dash-jumping (essentially wave dashing from Celeste) feel way too unpolish. I spent like 20 minutes trying to figure out what am I doing wrong. Still have no clue…

The conversation, the challenges, the socks and the hero are all amazing. Will recommend this to anyone that wants to have genuine fun. The puns are funny too XD
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Beautiful visuals, lots of interesting platforming mechanics, tight controls and a hefty challenge. An easy recommendation.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Solid platformer! Controls feel tight, good challenge curve, very few "that was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ moments". Definitely get this if you're into / want to get into platformers!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hey! This is a cute lil game. The art is a divisive element here, you either love it, hate it, or don't care. If you are looking for a well-made twitch-platformer ( and by Twitch, I mean reflexes, not the streaming site ) Then you might enjoy sockventure It's setup very similarly to Celeste in terms of mechanics, and overall controls / level deisgn and challenge levels. It never gets AS hard as Celeste, but the difficulty is impacted a bit by a few unreliable mechanics, and under-explained,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Was going to give this game a positive review until the last level. The game itself has tight platforming and controls, good hitboxes. The levels are kind of boring and the game is rather short. But overall I had fun through 85% of it. Then theres the final level. It's a race against rising lava, which can be fun or annoying depending on how its done. This game forces you to use the worst and most finnicky mechanic in the game, the dash jump and dash wall jump, a mechanic people are still…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lovely precision platformer with great feeling movement and a nice difficulty curve. A little on the short side but dark worlds and deathless challenges offer more challenge for those who want it. Solid recommend! positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hella Buttery Controls Hittin Dat Celeste + Super Meat Boy Itch.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game but really short. Took me under 4 hours to beat ( I did not 100% every level ). And for as little exposure as an indy game like this is gonna get maybe $15 is too much idk. Anyway still a pretty decent platformer.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sockventure is an amazingly fun and platformer with an all too relatable story about your kids favorite socks. Yes I said it. The premise of this game is a deadly journey through a washing machine in search of a child's favorite socks. Until you have a child... you do not understand, okay? But even if you can't relate; the controls are reactive, the levels are progressively more challenging, a death counter in each chapter, and all the socks you want! You want a red sock? You get it! You want…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Such a fun game to play. What drew me to it was the graphics, I loved how it looked. But the game play made me stay. Its difficult enough to make you frustrated but not impossible to do once you get the hang of it. It is going to be very easy to put a lot of hours of game play into this
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quick Description: -Sockventure is a well designed precision platformer that fans of the genre are likely to adore. It doesn't have the extremely high skill ceiling or immense amount of content that the juggernauts of the genre have, but it is a mechanically solid, visually stylish platformer that is extremely accessible to both beginners and veterans. What's Good: -I personally love the art direction and overall aesthetic. There are a lot of bright colors and everything on screen is very…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It has all those elements we love/hate about the Celestes and the Meat Boys out there. Agony and bliss in one neat package. It definitely scratches that itch.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Polished and good quality game. In there with meat boys and celestes.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you enjoy a platforming challenge, give this game a try. The first impression you get is admittedly pretty poor due to the initial art style the game displays. In combination with the simplicity of the first chapter, I genuinely though I'd bought a game for children. If you can get past that though and reach the actual gameplay, you shouldn't have any complaints about how the rest of the game looks; and especially about a lack of challenge. I expect a lot of people will be put off by the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty solid precision platformer. It takes many mechanics from Celeste, but still, it manages to have its own personality. Actually, some of them are better implemented in this game than Celeste, like the dash/jump or dash/wall jump, the consistency when grabbing walls, the extra jump when exiting speed tunnels, etc... they feel way more responsive and easier to do here, which its amazing honestely considering im comparing this game with what i consider the best 2D platformer ever made. The…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've been playing this game until chapter 3 so far, and frankly appreciated my experience with it. Controls respond perfectly well, which is necessary for this type of game - because the game will have the gift to trick you into not getting too much comfortable with it, it's an unforgiving one, while not being unfair: everything will be relied on your own skill. While I judge that it isn't just as good as a Super Meat Boy, that the music can get a bit boring quickly (only one music during the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An Challenging Platformer with a lot of levels for you to beat and collectibles to collect such as coins and socks. This game reminds me Celeste since both of them have hard platform levels and then they have Dark Chapters to unlock(Sockventure) and Heart Levels(Celeste). Some controls like the dash and jump on the ground or on the wall will fail sometimes and the final level the lava could be slower.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →With slick and precise controls, vibrant colors, well designed platforming, and goofy premise about finding socks in a washing machine, Sockventure hits all the right notes for a precision platformer. Add in some hidden goodies and time attacks and you have a fun speed runners dream. Not since Celeste have I seen such mechanically well developed controls. The only real gripe comes from a drastic shift in challenge about and hour or two in, but even that forced me to master all the acquired…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →love the game its pretty awsome love the level design deffo gonna stream more of the levels :)

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its a game about Socks. I love it <3
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's actually an incredible amount of fun, I still need to put some more time into it but everything i've experienced so far has been both a challenge and a blast, the deeper my move set gets the more complicated the obstacles become and albeit some rooms are much harder than others it never truly feels impossible. The movement is a little floaty at times but that isn't a knock on it by any means, if anything it's probably kept me alive a time or two, the music is subtle and not too intrusive…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a lot of fun! It looks great, controls great, music is pretty chill! Has a lot of really neat platforming! Difficulty isn't that bad, it adds techniques throughout the game in order to make it gradually more challenging. Most of the levels you can bang out in a few tries but there were a few that did take a bit of practice and grinding out to get through, mainly towards the end. When you get those tough spots though it feels so smooth and satisfying! Each Chapter has 3 challenges…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Since playing this game, I can't find one of my socks. I'm sure it's just a coincidence. https://youtu.be/2mS6IizDZNo If you want to see gameplay and watch my first impressions as they happened, click my video. Sockventure dyes you in the wool of a heroic sock who promises to find a child's socks that were eaten by the washer. Evade all of the normal washing hazards such as bubbles, spikes, and boiling water as you search for the missing sock that matters most. Sockventure is much easier than…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is a great precision platformer. It takes inspiration from literally every other well known platformer out there with the most obvious one being Celeste. This game copies Celeste so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hard. Even down to the later moves such as the dash and wall jumps. I felt like the platforming part was just as good as Celeste's to include that final area of the game. That's where I think they bumped it up a notch as that's harder than the base Celeste game. The story is basically nonexistent…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →very nice game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played the game and got to Chapter 3 and the mechanics are from Celeste and Super Meat Boy , Don't play this just buy Celeste or Super Meat Boy
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a fun platformer. Worth the buy honestly.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a fun precision-platformer with silky smooth movement and tight controls. It has excellent difficulty scaling given how short the game is, and sets itself up to have good replay value. I as well as many others will say, however, that the lava at the end of level 7 is a huge pain and the dash jumps and dash wall jumps feel fundamentally broken and way too precise. I think room for error is where this game performs poorly. Lava adds an extra bit of panic and removes your room…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →1. Enough variety in level design 2. Not very innovative, but not a straight copy 3. Nice non-pixel graphics for a change 4. Movement feels pretty good 5. Jumping is a bit floaty, but that helps with the challenges 6. Buggy, but I guess that’s mostly the fault of my PC configuration 7. Not that difficult for a precision platformer, if you don’t need to reach for 100 % completion
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game sucks my cummmm filled sock. Sure, it's an alright game for a few, but not worth it at any price as the game goes from super easy, to okay, to trashy, to just plain ballz. (ewww balls). Has very little redeemable qualities outside of being a worthless sack of existence. Buy at your own risk and refund when the game gets assey, which I did, cha-ching. I'd recommend playing it 1 hour and 59 minutes and refunding it, personally, just to screw over the creators of this godforsaken…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sockventure is a delightful platformer that brings a fresh twist to the genre with its charming sock protagonist and toe-tapping soundtrack. From the moment I started playing, I was hooked by its addictive gameplay and infectious music that kept me grooving along through every level. First off, let's talk about the gameplay. Sockventure offers a perfect blend of challenging platforming and clever puzzle-solving that kept me engaged from start to finish. Controlling the nimble sock protagonist…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sockventure is on sale. It's an amazing hardcore platformer. The presentation and story are silly, but the gameplay is hard and technical. A silly, wonderful, intense, challenging game.
unlabelledView post →Really hard, I mean Really hard but satisfying
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this is a great game. Level design is perfect, movement feels great. It's hard but not frustrating. There is only two complain I can think of, first one is that there is too much visual stutter. There is already too much going on at once on screen and camera shake makes it worse. Second is that, there is too much mechanics, jump, double jump, dash, wall jump, grabbing the wall and so on. I mean it is fun to use them (except for "grabbing the wall" thing. I hate that.) but it's also hard to get…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Solid game. I didn't really care about the story but gameplay was fun. Last chapters got pretty challenging too. Only major downside is the length which is a bit short if you're not in to collecting secrets and opening dark worlds.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →tl;dr version: Sockventure is a solid precision platformer along the lines of Super Meat Boy w/ a variety of mechanics thrown in along the way to continually mix things up before anything gets remotely stale. Not too steep a difficulty curve until around chapter 5 when it ramps up noticeably. And yes, it works great on Steam Deck! (Technically "Playable" in needing to use the Steam Deck pop-up KB for entering a name, but otherwise it was essentially a "Verified" experience!). Recommend picking…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I found Sockventure to be an enjoyable precision platformer with a charming theme. The game is relatively short and has a moderate difficulty compared to other games in the genre. There are definitely some rough edges. The performance is not great and the frame rate often drops. There are also some bugs with the coin counter. I came back to a save point in the middle of the run and the counter was continually saying I was dozes of coins short from the available amount to that point, but then…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty good unknown platformer with a weird story. Movement feels a little bit floaty but the move sets are interesting.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Such a smooth platformer, I've played tons and I will surely remember this one !
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Excellent art style, great platforming. I've beaten all sides in Celeste twice, and Hollow Knight's Path of Pain once. But that last screen in Dark Chapter 3? You can kindly keep that one.
