Unfortunately it has some bugs and no system to report them. -Add to wish-list button was left in release -Rewind does not refund moves -Rewind changes sword status -The text is cut off the screen is several places -The game crashes on exit
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As a huge roguelike and tactical game fan, it pains me to say I can't recommend the game right now, there's several reasons for that: - The game has various gamebreaking bugs that can occur randomly (one bug makes you unable to use your allies during your turn for example) - The balancing is frankly all over the place - Most importantly, why is it that I can't see the enemies' exact range? Like you can display where some enemies can walk but it doesn't matter since some enemies have 2 range…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →At $15, this is easily a recommend from me. That being said, the only reason I’m able to recommend it so easily is the very low price point. The game is a ton of fun. I constantly found myself wowed by the varied number of ways you’re able to use the DoberKnight’s thrown sword. I distinctly remember the moment I learned you could use it to block narrow passages, or that knocking enemies into it triggered the collision mechanics. Each run is fun, and the game does an excellent job of letting…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was concerned about the mixed review status, but am happy to say this is a fun game and the devs have addressed many of the concerns people previously noted in their negative reviews.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Update: Version 1.1.1 addresses a few of the things mentioned in this review. The most notable is making it so you can move the camera with a mouse. This can be done by holding down the scroll wheel, and moving the mouse. This is a step forward, though I still think adding something so the top down/forward facing toggle was used would go far. Even if this can be solved by assigning CTRL to a mouse button. I can also confirm the thumbstick toggle no longer happens when using a controller.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its undercooked, gameplay and stability wise. The only upgradeable card i found on doberknight was the sword throw, theres no chart on interactions with terrain types, charms work on clicked tile basis. These and more feel like rough edges that would be fine if not for countless bugs. Sometimes game just doesnt do what the card says and sits there with a plank nailed to its forehead and SOMETIMES it does things witchout any reason! I had to sac my Fletch run cus on the final boss i had to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Shuffle Tactics is out! I was fortunate to do a bit of game design work on this project - the team is lovely and has put absolutely tremendous amounts of care and effort into this thing, so I can't recommend it enough if you like tactical games & deckbuilders :]
unlabelledView post →Did not care for the aesthetic at all, but that's personal taste. The game has some UI issues that need to be addressed: - If you want to know things like enemy ranges or how much damage they do, you need to click on each of them one at a time. - Getting to an upgrade shop for the first time? Choose a card to upgrade. What do the upgrades do? No way of knowing. Pick a card. - When you hover over a card to learn what it does, it might say something like "Gives you the recall card". What is the…

Stop reading this review and go buy this game immediately. Developer is really responsive, constantly updating and tweakign the game- game was unfairly review bombed early on. Of the latest indie purchases this has been my favorite. Great graphics, fun replayability, and lots to discover and unlock. Give it a shot!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Huge potential but too buggy to recommend at the moment. Although if you love turn based tactical roguelikes you might enjoy it enough anyway. Bugs encountered so far: 1. Hotkeys aren't disabled while sending feedback. 2. Recallable sword throw doesn't correctly swap to recall sword in some cases. 3. Hidden takedown doesn't gain bonus damage when there's highground between you and your target. 4. Some effects (such as poison and I think knockback) are applied even if your projectile is blocked…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a lot of fun, and has interesting gameplay, but I can't recommend this game is it is right now. in similar light to other people who may have rated this game negatively, the gamebreaking bugs are just such a let down. I shouldn't have to go through runs hoping that my game doesn't break and prevents me from completing the run. Hoping the Devs will fix soon, they're really sitting on some potential.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →game was a little rough around the edges on initial release but I have extremely high hopes that the QOL changes keep coming in the creator has been very active and responsive to community feedback HUGE W
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Rough gem, but sadly unfinished & abondoned.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Shuffle Tactics has some great bones and ideas. If anything, it feels like a great candidate for Early Access balancing and bug fixing. However, it is a full release and one that retails for $14.99. Because of this, it is taking a bit more scrutiny from me in its present state. I would love to be able to experience the rest of the bosses and levels, but with the level of difficulty being as it is, it’s hard for me to not want to “wait and see” for now before taking on the path to King Ogma…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Overall a very fun game, but I wish steam had a neutral option. Tried the demo and had a blast, liked it so much I got it! Although, after playing it, it just isn't for me, and refunded it. It's a very good game, it just doesn't scratch that slay the spire, Wildfrost, or Deulyst 2 itch for me. No matter what though, try the demo! Pros: -Looks great! The pixel art is superb, and the stages look great. -Tons of strategy, you can upgrade card, find new ones, get charms -similar to Wildfrost- to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I searched for a long time for a turn-based strategy roguelike that would keep me hooked and challenged for longer than a month, and this is the one that got me!! I pretty much love everything about this game thus far except the difficulty seeing and clicking certain tiles when higher terrain/other characters/totems, etc. are blocking them from view, and how unnerving it can get when trying to play with a gamepad or the Steam Deck without a mouse. If the devs could add a way to rotate the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Buggy mess of a game with a horribly awkward UI, unreliable damage preview and unclear/bugged interactions of various keywords. Controller support is also very poor: everything takes multiple inputs and just navigating the grid is an exercise in frustration. This would need a lot more polish to be an enjoyable title. Since development appears to be finished, I'd say stay away from this one.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolutely loving the game. If you like deckbuilding and/or tactics games, just play it. There's a free demo, try it now. I see some comments about game stability or bugs, perhaps they've already patched it, but played multiple runs already and haven't encountered a single problem with the game so far.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm a fan of challenging grid based combat that rewards unique play through player creativity. I don't go for complete nut-buster [Though I'm a fan of the darksoul/ elden ring game], I enjoy a good challenge and like the option to go further, which this game offers as more challenging elite combat that I often stray away from [too much nut-busting]. The art and its use of pixels when visiting the merchants/vendors along the route was one of my favorite parts of the game as there's dialogue to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really great combination of classic turn-based grid tactics with deckbuilder mechanics. The interactions between various card traits and how they play out in space makes for some really interesting potential strategies, especially with the ability to add card characteristics. The difficulty has some randomness and isn't always linear - it's easy to get lulled into some lazy strategies with a series of fairly easy battles and then suddenly get hit with a much more challenging match that you…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Having a ton of fun with this game so far. Very Slay the Spire inspired but I've always preferred tactical RPGs so this is hitting much better for me. There are some bugs but nothing that's hurt the experience too much. Definitely worth the purchase.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I like all of the ideas here, especially potent are the strategy depth with the starting cards. The used keywords and clean writing of the cards is above average. There is however a lot of room for misunderstanding what a card does...is that heal only range 1 and why can it not be used of self? The fire mage ally especially was confusing to me. Setting fire under a mob does not add bonus damage to my fire ball...that gets bonuses from burning enemies?...what?. AoE cards that trigger both…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Shuffle Tactics, developed by Club Sandwich and published by The Arcade Crew, is an ambitious blend of turn-based tactics and roguelike deckbuilding that aims to merge two complex genres into a single cohesive experience. At its best, it delivers moments of clever synergy and strategic satisfaction, but it also reveals the challenges of balancing layered systems that don’t always align as smoothly as intended. Set in a fractured fantasy world overtaken by a mysterious corruption, the game…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game still have some minor and major bugs, but still love it thou
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Excellent tactical rogue-lite with solid progression and increasing challenge
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Well, either what I encountered was a bug, or I need something that explains a bit more on the game mechanics. I was on the third boss when I suddenly died attacking an enemy. I was absolutely steamrolling prior to that, so I find it a bit odd. That being said, I haven't had any obvious bugs, issues with controls, no crashes. The game also happens to be pretty fun!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →is gooooooood. A refreshing turn based tactics game. git it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this game. There's still some bugs that are being ironed out and it can be incredibly brutal if you make a single mistake past mid level 2, but the synergies and team mate combos is a refreshing add to the genre. The graphics are really great and all three characters play totally differently. I hope more get added. If you like this genre and don't mind taking a boot to the face, its well worth the price. Edit: I just want to add, the dev is very active in forums and responding to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's fun, but hell.. Speed up the early progression... and fix bugs please. I hope game will get better with time. Giving a positive for encouragement.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game that has a lot going for it but id give it some time for them to iron out the bugs. they have already addressed the major ones
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A solid game with lovely visuals. I am a fan of all the genres of game this slaps together and I think Shuffle tactics does it in a smart way. It is easy to skip your rewards so just don't do that. I give this a solid 8/10 and will play more. worth checking out if it looks interesting to you.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Found the game very fun so far and am excited to play more. There are some rough edges in UI and controls and the game does crash when closing out, but it hasn't stopped me from enjoying it. I'm interested to get a better feel for the balance of cards as I continue to play, but as of right now there are no glaring issues.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →has some minor bugs here and there but the gameplay is so extremely satisfying that I don't mind, I also love that the secrets in this game are not obvious so figuring them out feels very nostalgic of a time you had no internet or tutorials holding your hand all the way
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →vey fun game! can only recommend, it has some balancing issues butt finding out even BETTER and GREATER combinations is crazy fun!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is good, but bugs and unfinished design hold it back. Example: - No way to rotate the camera, if an enemy is behind an obstacle, good luck clicking them. (I once clicked on a wrong empty square because the enemy was in the middle of an animation and exactly as I click their sprite moved together with their hurtbox, so the space behind ended up being the target) - Balance or certain card interactions feel bugged/unintended sometimes
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →should be good but it isn't. controlling one character is fun, any more than that and its really unfun.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I personally think the game is quite fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am loving Shuffle Tactics. I would say the main drawbacks are the math is sometimes not very clear and environmental effects can be easy to lose track of with interactions being confusing. In addition, there are some bugs which will soft lock you or you have to play around the bugs to get through the game. HOWEVER, there has already been a patch for bugs which is great and if you can look past these annoyances, there is a genuinely amazing and fun game which I can't wait to play more (and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I actually have probably 15 hours or so played, offline due to ISP issues. Game is good. Game is extremely fun and there is a lot of variety. I saw the dev reply to some reviews stating some bugs were fixed and the campaign has been made a little smoother. I can't speak to what it was like before, but I have yet to crash and have only experienced a single combat round in which my sidekicks were not selectable, out of hundreds of rounds. The Act 3 boss can be a long fight, but feels…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ended up buying and refunding Shuffle Tactics because it doesn't boot on Steam Deck. It was also a really shakey launch. Seems like the bones are good but the game isn't polished really at all. One to keep an eye on if they get some things ironed out
unlabelledView post →Bought the game after watching about 20 min of gameplay from a youtuber I watch. It reminds me a lot of Into the Breach, another great turn-based tactical game. Some of the things I'm always looking for are deep gameplay mechanics, replayability, and of course having fun. So far I have won 2 runs on the Doberman, both with the help of the werewolf mercenary (who applies fracture). For most of the fights I feel like I have a lot of agency which is a big plus. My main issue is with elite fights…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I recommend this game in hopes that with enough postivie support the devs might come back to it and work on polishing it to perfection. I think this game is great. Every major thing in it is done really well, with aspects such as sound design, music, unique and clean artstyle, gameplay loop and depth as well as core concept and mechanics, really make it an outstanding indie game in my opinion. Sidekicks are a great addition to the deckbuilding formula with their own decks which you can expand…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I already quite liked the demo and I think this game has real potential. The reviews feel a bit harsh (especially now that the price has dropped) Really cool visuals and music, I like the mix of low-poly / pixel art. Sure, the game has some balance issues... but hopefully those will get fixed and the devs seem open to feedbacks... First thing I'd change asap is the UI, but hey, I saw waaay worst in games with much higher reviews :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →(Said game was also previewed by Dylan four months ago!) (Wow, four months ago. I was really a different GrinBot back then, y'know? How the time flies...) (Er, uh, Shuffle Tactics! Yes! Beat back The Glimmer! Don't let it, like, gleam on you! Glim? Peace!) www.gamegrin.com/previews/shu...
unlabelledView post →I enjoyed the demo and bought the game as soon as it dropped, but sadly I refunded because it just never felt fun. It always felt like a grind that didn't pay off. Enemies swarm you and you can one-shot a lot of them, but with the lack of mobility, most turns end up being duds. Bosses are boring. Just literal blobs of giant health bars that feel tedious rather than challenging. Such a shame, because there's a lot I like about the game. From the look and feel, to the characters and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Can't recommend enough, this is exactly what I was looking for!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Had a bug where you will stuck at boss fight. Restarting will reset the game but you will stuck again at certain round. This will make you in a restart loop and unable to proceed the game. This bug should be fix immediately. Camera control should be improve. Being able to rotate the field would improve the game vision. Zoom out feature are nice but at certain stage like in a cave it is useless where you would only see nothing since you are above the ceiling.. Please improve the game…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Been enjoying this one quite a bit. I can't day anything about the progression stuff yet, but the core gameplay is very fun and kinetic. Many skills can be built around manipulating and taking advantage of positions. Overall, nothing has quite scratched that "Final Fantasy Tactics but roguelike" itch for me like Shuffle Tactics!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Update: 7/22/25 The continued updates to this game along with addressing many of the bugs i encountered has led me to change my review to yes. This game is a lot of fun and has many fun mechanics, and I hope that it continues to improve. I really enjoy this game and I want to keep playing it but the bugs are really discouraging. This game really needs a lot of polish and should probably be in early access. The game mechanics and art are fun and engaging but there are many QoL improvements…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Looks like a game I would like. Too bad it crashes everytime I hit New Run. Not sure why but it eventually loaded and does not crash. Switching to positive until I can get some more playtime!
