unlabelledView post →Was I wrong to put my trust in #RandomGameSaturday?? 😅 Nah, I kid. Shaq Fu’s got a reputation, of course, but I have a soft spot for it regardless. Its character designs are really neat, and their animation is gorgeously fluid. It’s just not good at being a fighting game…

unlabelledView post →Checked the Shaq Fu wiki (lol) and I have now realized that I made a very, VERY erroneous assumption when I sat down to play that game. I really assumed the opposite of this would be true due to, you know, licensor approval and all

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game isn't good, but it isn't bad either. For $19.99 it is not worth it. It feels like a game that you'd play on one of those arcade machines in the movie theater for a few quarters but with some graphical improvements to account for when it was released. The humor is a bright spot, Shaq is a funny guy and I think his sense of humor really comes out in the game. But, the gameplay isn't nearly compelling enough - it's good that the game isn't too long because it would become absolutely…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hot Take: Shaq Fu was good it's not a mechanically interesting fighting game and the controls are atrocious, but it was still fun to play, the animations were really good, it had a cool story mode and good music (genesis music >>>> snes music tho) and a really cool cast of characters

Gameboy Adv SP: got crappy old guitar from neighbor's junk pile, traded it for an SP that my cousin found on the ground Genesis: secondhand store with only a copy of Shaq Fu and the 7up game Xbox: grandma's gift but it had to stay at her house

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Like there's this goofy meme about Shaq Fu being "the worst Super Nintendo game" but, like, fam, it is not even CLOSE. It's not even in the same LEAGUE as the games I just mentioned. Shaq Fu is a very, very *weird* game, and it's funny that it exists, and it is indeed a bad game, but worst? NOOOOO

unlabelledView post →I'm going to step up and defend the indefensible: Shaq Fu! Now, it isn't what you'd call a "good" fighting game... but it's got some cool character designs and top-notch sprite animations. As you'd expect: Delphine also made Flashback and Another World! Here's a quick demo showing off some moves...

unlabelledView post →#JustBeatIt @polykillpodcast.bsky.social No. 019 Shaq Fu (SNES). I like the SNES version a lot less (a rarity for me!). The game moves slower and a such is more difficult. Also, the colors are more washed out and the text is fuzzy. It's playable, but the MD version is the one to play.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I didn't give this much of a chance when it was announced. Like others, I hated Shaq Fu and wondered why in the world they decided to bring it back. But it was available for a dollar so I figured why the hell not. But the game is actually pretty entertaining. Its silly, offensive, funny and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crazy. If you're sense of humor is slanted toward the dry, dark and offensive side you'll probably enjoy this. The animated cutscenes are fun to watch too. Yeah a couple of memes are outdated, and…

Its just a mindless game for when you want to twiddle your thumbs. Nothing technically wrong with this game at all.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I backed this game in 2014 on Indiegogo and they promised many features that did not make it to the final game, such as local and online multiplayer and more than one playable character. They also failed to deliver on the promise that this was going to be an actual fighting game instead of a beat 'em up, so they sold us the game under false pretenses. So far, all that has materialized is some mundane Barack Obama DLC campaign which isn't even viewable on Steam. Regarding the game, it's a…

unlabelledView post →We all know that Shaq Fu is the greatest video game of all time. The question is, what do we as a society do with this information?
unlabelledView post →This game surprised me. It was actually quite fun. Also, I'm someone who thinks Shaquille O'Neal is NOT FUNNY, but the game's humor amused me and had me chuckling throughout. This is definitely only for those looking for a quick playthrough and a single player beat 'em up experience. Steam says I spent three hours on this, though I feel like it was a little longer. In any case, it was the right duration for the game. It doesn't overstay its welcome. The GOOD Really nice graphics. Nice detail…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sure, the game is quite short but the action, comedy and simple gameplay makes it extremely fun to play. Would recommend. Especially if you played the Shaq game back in the day!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I can see why the backers are disappointed with the game. However, if you get it cheap for like a dollar like me it is a a pretty decent sidecrolling beat-em up. Lasts about 2-3 hours and there isn't much replayability. Does get pretty repetitive towards the end. Not much variety in the enemy types or Shaq's combat moves and the combat mostly goes something like light attack - light attack - heavy attack -> repeat for the rest of the game. One thing the game does really well is humor though.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn is a free mobile app that's been dumped on Steam as if it was a real PC game (it's not)... it's a cash grab from greedy mobile devs, attempting to scam PC gamers into paying money for a free mobile app. This mobile app is a crowdfunded effort from Russian developers featuring the voice and likeness of Shaquille O'Neal but none of the quality... I guess a lot of sports celebrities aren't afraid to put their name in bad places for a paycheck. This is a great example of…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bought on sale for $1.49, definitely worth it. Loads of childish humor, beat up a Temu Trump robot, play as Shaq in a mech suit. This is nothing like the original but a good time none the less. If it's cheap, good for a laugh. Looks really good and surprisingly good brawler, very basic. Wouldn't call it a kids game but if your kids watch PG-13 movies, i'd say it's fine. Wasn't the nostalgia trip I thought it would be but still a good time.

The second image has a modernized version of the tram, its rear and smiling Lilly in the tram if you zoom in a little. She has as much to do with transport as Shaq has to do with kung fu (I'm talking Shaq Fu, an actual game).

In theory you could add any SNES/Gen game. I'll pay $15 for Shaq Fu.
