There is a decent amount of VR controls settings that you can adjust to suit your needs, however, a setting that is missing is hands offset. I'm using a Quest 3, so my guns were slightly tilted up, it screwed up with my muscle memory coming from other VR shooters, but I got used to it. On the other hand... the game itself... god it did not age well. TLDR; The game starts out somewhat fun, but starts to get more and more ANNOYING towards the…

Even though it was a low budget game from a small Croatian team and nobody even remembers the original publisher nowadays (it was Mike Wilson's Gathering of Developers), at some point, it was installed on pretty much every computer in LAN gaming centers and even computer stores used it as a demo to show off latest LCD monitors. And it's especially funny…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →8/10 A descent port of of Serious Sam TFE with some odd design choices that hurt the game. Duel wielding breaks it, as does the fact that shotguns can fire as fast as you pull the trigger and none of the weapons need to be reloaded. Still, while I prefer the base game, Its a fun way to replay a great game. I just wish they had put a bit more time into it and not based it off the fusion version.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This feels like what DOOM VFR should have been, pure vr chaos.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played it, Seriously. Turned off teleport controls, enabled always run.... Got sick, but was so Serious, I kept going. Motion sick people should definitely use teleportation. Unless you're Serious about your time playing, then go all out! You will only regret it when you vomit. But that shouldn't stop a bad ass like you. right?
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Does not support seated mode even though the store page says it does. Thanks for wasting my time. Got a few comments that suggest playing in fusion, so I tried that. Looked through every single menu of the game and I can't find any options for height or seated mode.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The best VR shooter on PC, while pavlov is fun because of the mechanics, and some others because of story but with boring gameplay. This is pure adrenaline all the way. And just a tip, the weapons don't have reload animations in vr, so a shotgun is a auto-shotgun now
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would love to recommend the game, but I just can´t. Started getting "Error during license verification" few days ago. So I just cannot play. And the best thing is my refund request was denied, so I am stuck with a broken game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I swear to god that it's the best VR adaptation on par with Hl 2 VR. I don't have motion sickness at all. So I had to get rid of all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Like reduction of FOV, activate smooth turn, moving with head, continue walking. And as pput the graphics tio the max and voila! The fastest VR game I ever played, even faster than HL2. Smùooth sailing. I couldn't stop, I didnt even stop to smoke. I had to force myself to stop. We need more fast FPS like this. Serious Sam in VR is a thousand time…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Masterpiece in VR. Wonderful graphics and gameplay. If you look for a incredible fun shooter game in VR, this is a must have of the genre.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I may have got motion sickness a little but, but it's nothing Serious
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lazy VR port for the game that just doesn't work in VR. It's fun to just walk and kill few enemies here and there, but once you're in the room with hungreds of enemies and you have to constantly move to stay alive it's just a terrible experience. Moreover the default controls are straight up broken. And with community ones it's still pretty terrible but at least usable.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cheesy (in a good way), fast-paced, dumb fun, throwback. Never really got into The Serious Sam games but damn does it make a good action-packed VR game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have now played trough serious Sam for the first time. After trying to play through it multiple times traditionally. I really enjoyed it. Things to know tough. *You probably need to play around with both controller bindings in StreamVR as well as the VR settings in game to make it control as you want. Since it's made for Vive wands it has some really weird ideas on how to control the game if you use a more modern controller like the knuckles or any quest controller. *Quick save is your…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →any development studio making a first person perspective VR game should be required to match the comfort and accessibility options that Croteam managed 7 years ago with Serious Sam VR, one of the most fast-paced FPS games I've played. Not a single VR first person game measures up. Not even Alyx.
unlabelledView post →One of the best VR port all time. I recommend all 3, as such a VR experience is not often seen. It really feels like it was built specifically for VR from the ground up…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Poor PICO 4 support
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Could not get the game to work fail to verify ownership apparently, and I'm just done with it I would expect a game would work immediately when I launch it, but no. I was planning to play through the games with a friend but I can't because of this issue I've looked up videos on how to fix it none of them worked so this is gonna be a refund for me sadly.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great content for VR but should have been cheaper. It's a short game worth about $9.99 in today's market.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Finally, a fast-paced, first-person-shooter in VR. Tried Serious Sam many years back and just didn't get it...but as a VR "two-hand'er"/"first-person, two-shooter", it kinda Rocks!! Playing Seated, with continuous motion, makes the game feel like a classic strafe'n doge FPS with a much needed twist---as you progress, the game just hammers you from all sides...and it's fantastic. Re: difficulty & comfort---I felt the curve was just what I needed (starts slow, ends crazy), but I can't speak for…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is Serious Sam so just buy it already if you have VR and still didn´t play this gem.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game, lots of fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Was never really a fan of the classic frantic Serious Sam shooters. But it's heaps of fun in VR, and you can't help but feel badass when you John Wick enemies left and right. Word of caution: If you're prone to motion sickness this probably isn't for you. Sure, you can play it with teleportation, but it's rather bland experience compared to smooth locomotion. Absolotely worth the price when on a sale (got mine for like 3€ as part of a bundle). The full 37€ asking price.....not so much. Great…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the perfect example of how to bring classics to VR. Bravo Croteam.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a lot better in VR.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An awesome port of an awesome classic shooter series. Classics like this, Doom, Quake, etc. are great for really driving up the super sampling and reducing that there screen door. These games are perfect for VR since they can run on a potato. Also I wish every game had color saturation like this series does. The colors on most VR headsets are very bland and there's rarely anything you can do about it sadly.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Serious Sam VR: The First Encounter, developed by Croteam VR and published by Devolver Digital, is a high-octane reimagining of the classic first-person shooter built entirely for virtual reality. It takes the frantic energy and absurd chaos that defined the original Serious Sam and transposes it into a fully immersive environment where you’re no longer just playing as Sam—you are Sam, standing in the middle of a desert arena with waves of monsters charging directly at you. The result is an…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have played the original many times since childhood, but OMG how great this game feels in VR! This game port is awesome, holding a weapon in each hand is super cool, definitely recommend!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →croatian ingenuity
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →crisp visuals, performance is a solid 90 fps even on my mid range pc, and the guns are really fun to use in vr. probably the best $2 ive spent on steam
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This gets a thumbs down for the lack of GOG availability and making me 100% bound to the Steam platform to install this game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's time to get Seriously Serious, in VR! Serious Sam VR: The First Encounter, developed by Croteam, is a VR port of the HD edition of Serious Sam: The First Encounter, taking the SERIOUS gameplay we all know and putting into Virtual Reality. Likewise this review will only be covering the aspects introduced with this VR port as other than a few minor differences this game is almost 1:1 to the original game in terms of the structures of fights. Gameplay of SSVR:TFE first needs some notes.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have hundreds of VR games and to me this is one of the funnest. I love boomer shooters. Been playing since Wolfenstien 3d and when I got the original game of Serious Sam I thought it was the most uninspired throw back game I could ever played. Back then I was more into Painkiller series. Fast Forward to 2020 when I bought this game this has to be one of the funnest VR experiences. Egyptian setting looks beautiful and the enemies are fun to take out and nothing like coming home from a hard…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very Serious, Very Sam but VR
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →dont work with index controllers out of the box which shows they dont care and wands are bad controllers thank you for not caring. this is one reason vr cant take off except on Facebook and PSVR2 in theory.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I feel like if I was the type to get motion sickness this would make me throw up, 10/10 sprinting at 40mph
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So realistic I thought I was serious.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Started off not liking it, liked it alot, then started not liking the switch weapons bug. Other than that bug it's freaking great and stupid difficult. 9/10 without bug
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Excellent VR game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The only bad thing about this game is that it makes you wish every classic game would get this kind of VR treatment. Tons of movement, visual, and controller options. Croteam made it feel like this game was meant for VR.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For those who love Serious Sam this would be a very easy choice of whether one should spend money on it. For those who never played Serious Sam before just ask yourselves, what is better than a minigun? TWO MINIGUNS!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →for a vr game that came out in 2017 this is shockingly good, it supports different types of locomotion for different hmds. usually older vr games support only a couple of vr options, so if you have a WMR headset you'd have to use the god awful touchpad to move around, just about the least convenient method of locomotion, but this game has full twin sticks support, with comfort mode and different turn options, both snap turn and continuous is supported here. the gameplay is very simple but very…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game in VR was perfect! Croteam was one of the first devs to release their games into VR and other devs need to take notes! This was amazing and at time Sh*t my pants scary, those kleers jumping at your face!!!!! Excellent job to a classic! Here are the first three chapters and the whole playlist is on my channel: https://youtu.be/KhgCcTVaGdQ

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A proper VR adapted shooter? Probably not. Launch the easiest mode and shoot things with rocket launchers akimbo style? Hell yeah. 10 beheaded kamikazes out of 10 Also try to use keyboard and mouse for the fastest and weirdest VR experience* * Unless you get VR sick
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So.. to start with positives: It looks nice in VR with the HD textures, it would be a joy to play it. The problem: you can't play seated, though they say you can. They have no height adjustment, or a reset cam key, I checked the internet and it seems to be a long lasting problem. Did they bother to test seated gameplay? As a result, bye bye mouse and keyboard mode, unless you like playing as a dwarf. And I hate controllers, they are clunky, you do a 180 turn very slowly, mouse + keyboard is…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a must have if you have a virtual reality headset. There is nothing closer, crazier and better than serious Sam TFE VR. Croteam is legendary, buy this, you won't be disappointed.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's the first Serious Sam game, but in VR. This is definitely one you're going to want to play standing. You won't need room-scale capability, but will need to have a good clear 'sphere' around yourself so your arms can go just-about wherever you want them to. Gunplay is fairly basic, but feels very intuitive (make sure to check your weapon scale in the options, maybe your world scale also) and pleasing in general. Even normal difficulty provides for a decently-challenging game. Stick-based…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing I prefer more realistic shooting games, like Pavlov and H3VR but this.. it works, amazingly it's full arcade, I do wish there was more impact to the bullets, and manual reloading for style, but other than that it just feels GREAT i'm surprised a VR remake of a game like serious sam is so good all this is helped by how hectic it is, needing you to constantly move about and shoot SHOOT SHOOT I got this in the CROTEAM collection for £12 on sale it was 100% worth that maybe not…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Experienced on the Valve Index & Knuckles Barely functional trash on the Index. There's no introduction to the game & no tutorial. The character randomly teleports without touching anything, and when I do try to move, it works about 50% of the time. When it does teleport me, it then teleports me again immediately. Once you start a level, sometimes enemies will spawn, sometimes they wont. There's no in-game prompts about what to do or how to start, and the in-game controllers don't match the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The original game was released in 2001, the HD version in 2009. Yet this game looks and plays great in VR in the year 2019. Amazing gunplay and everything feels giantic. Enemies that are bigger than you, massive weapons that make you feel like a badas.s and a scenery that makes you feel tiny. Everything is so huge, even Donald Trump would approve it and admit, videogames don't cause violence but a lot of fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The huge world the many weapons options the puzzles and many different weird alien encounters and enemies. As a first shooter you can play this on easy mode to are you Serious mode. Just a huge amount of fun for hours.
