The world was unique, and the fact some characters would fight each other until you found the side quests to resolve their differences cool.

unlabelledView post →www.gog.com/en/game/sept... The early monolith game Septerra Core comes to mind. It's on the crustier side visually, but I've seen anime and japanese games that have this look.
unlabelledView post →IDK why but the art style of the environment made me think of the old PC game "Septerra Core: Legacy of the Creator".
unlabelledView post →Promised I would share some games that are my taste and don't wanna break the promise so: Game 5: - Septerra Core I feel like too many people sleep on this JRPG. To be fair it didn't come out on console but on pc and was a western production. Still a great jrpg people really are missing out on.

unlabelledView post →I just started Septerra Core: Legacy of the Creator for the first time because the game got special offers -50% on steam. my first impression wow i never played something like this it was totally mix crpg but plays in jrpg style. It's like came up as chrono trigger and FFVII.

unlabelledView post →Clair Obscur Expedition 33 is reminding me of a lost gem on PC, Septerra Core. If you hadn't heard of Septerra Core, it's also a Western made JRPG style game made by a team who had big hopes and dreams. Fully voiced over too, a rarity in 1999. You can often find it for 99 cents on sale on Steam.
unlabelledView post →Random Saturday game thing Well, here is the other side of that jewel case that came with Septerra Core. I'm pretty sure my 'just-graduated-high-school-in-1998' self had known what ANIME by the time I saw this game. Sure playing in mechs wasn't a sim like MechWarrior, but who cares when it's fun?
unlabelledView post →I should play Septerra Core again at some point because omg was that a game that I played the shit out of and I feel was very formative for me.
unlabelledView post →I got Septerra Core as a kid in a gaming magazine to play on my father's work laptop while away on a trip. It was awesome. Anyway, unsure where we draw the line, but perhaps Secret of Evermore? Pier Solar? The Banner Saga? Animorphs on the Game Boy?
unlabelledView post →In that case, my random game is Septerra Core, a CRPG with a distinctly JRPG aesthetic. Cool cutscenes, some memorable characters, and an ending I did not expect. It also did some pretty creative things with the combat system. Which was part Chrono Trigger and part… Fallout? Worth a look, on GOG.
unlabelledView post →Septerra Core: Legacy of the Creators! It's a Western take on the "JRPG" style of game, with anime-esque aesthetic, an interesting and mysterious world, a bunch of colourful protagonists, a solid "active" turn-based combat and an interesting card-based magic system.
unlabelledView post →Heya folks, here's a short featuring Septerra Core by Valkyrie Studios and Monolith Productions Normally this game is actually pretty tough, but I found a saved game on Nexus Mods that starts you at level 99, easier than finding a working trainer #septerracore #videogames #retrogames #rpg #gameplay
unlabelledView post →What's your "no one but me remembers" game? Oh god, I've got so many of these. My shortlist though: * Stunt Island (1992) * Terra Nova (1996) * Septerra Core (1999)

unlabelledView post →Probably the critically worst thing that I've played and enjoyed is Septerra Core. It got 2s 3s, and 7s or something. But almost everything is really a 9 when you don't pay much attention to the reviews and the game does what it's supposed to do. be entertaining. 7th saga also scored low but was fun
unlabelledView post →OH YEAH, This is a game I've wanted to play for a while!! honestly there were a few interesting western jrpgs around then? Septerra Core, Anachronox
unlabelledView post →My favorite niche video game genre: JRPGs or JRPG like games made by Western Developers. Something about these always endear to me. Undertale, Deltarune, Septerra Core, Black Sigil: Blade of the Exiled, Kingdoms of the Dump.
unlabelledView post →Rogue Galaxy, which I played for the podcast I was on years ago. I hated every minute of that game and all of that seething malice is on YouTube because I’m stupid. Septerra Core was a close second. Toilet dungeon was 10/10 tho.
unlabelledView post →Meanwhile, after grinding a few extra levels on the wolves at the start of Septerra Core I was a bit overlevel for most of the rest of the game.
unlabelledView post →Because of Septerra Core "puzzles" I couldn't finish it (+ playing the game in a broken state): youtu.be/j_BqsAHIDhA
unlabelledView post →Quest 64 is a fun yet simple game. FF7 is a late 90s blockbuster that people like to glorify because it is the game from their childhood. Like it is a good game but it isn't the non plus ultra people like to make it out as. And Septerra Core is the one people sleep on.

unlabelledView post →Let alone the fact that Chrono Trigger itself inspired the creation of a few games. Septerra Core, Anachronox, Daikatana. Each with their own unique take and spin on ideas and concepts in the game. From the basic JRPG stuff, to the world building and combat systems.
unlabelledView post →Septerra Core: A jrpg style game, but made in the west. I adored it, and I still really like some of its core world building ideas.
unlabelledView post →Septerra Core: Legacy of the Creator which is a console JRPG style American PC game with a fairly rich story and environment and turn based combat. I love it more than I should.
unlabelledView post →Septerra Core - a great RPG originally released in 1999 for Windows. One day, a copy of Septerra Core dropped in my post box from Top 10 Games which I subscribed to, I got stuck far into the game but now I am starting over playing the game again. I intend to complete it this time! #SepterraCore
unlabelledView post →More #TourmaGaming! Tonight I played #BeautifulDesolation a South African post apocalyptic sci fi Adventure Game. It really is a good looking game, reminding me of #ChronoCross and #SepterraCore. The puzzles are a bit more logic based, (not much rubbing items on everything,) nor does it brutally kill you every few minutes, (Sierra,) and in general a very enjoyable game. #VideoGames
unlabelledView post →Man, I got reminded of a game from the past. Septerra Core for the PC. It's like final fantasy but PC, and prerendered graphics. It was a fun game! Dated, but fun. I did have to drop out of it and never finish it as later game a dungeon became a giant slog. Dunno if any followers remember this 1
unlabelledView post →So far weekend idea has tricked me good. Started playing Septerra Core, but once I got into the first fight of the game, it locks up. Going to have to spend some time getting a proper solution going to make the game function with cutscenes again.
unlabelledView post →Mine is like immediately because I got suckered into buying this game called Septerra Core that crashed on boot every time and I didn't know about Steam refunds so I just didn't buy another steam game for ages. I think it was my second purchase
unlabelledView post →Septerra Core: Legacy of the Creator. Incredible jrpg style game. Story, characters, worlds...incredibly engaging.
unlabelledView post →A legacy game that I wish would be remade would be Septerra Core: Legacy of the Creator. It's got a unique world with 7 floating layers that act as continents, a unique take on the ATB system, really neat characters, and a card-based magic system requiring coop b/w teammates for powerful spells.
unlabelledView post →Anyone else play #SepterraCore long ago?
unlabelledView post →And for fun, five RPGs that I think are criminally underrated: * Lost Odyssey * Septerra Core * Anachronox * Shadowrun (SNES) * Jade Empire Lost Odyssey in particular was a Final Fantasy game in all but name -- Hironobu Sakaguchi on writing, Roy Sato as visual director, Nobuo Uematsu as composer.
unlabelledView post →learned today that the guy who wrote Axel F did the music for the video game Two Worlds. also learned about the game Septerra Core. you should look up that game's wikipedia page. you have 30 seconds to figure out why its one of the funniest games ever made.
unlabelledView post →14. Final Fantasy VII This is the game that made me fall in love with JRPGs. I'd played Septerra Core before this but didn't quite understand it. The story was captivating, the combat was satisfying, and the soundtrack was perfection all these years later. There's a reason it's the most loved FF.
unlabelledView post →Hate that game preservation has gone out the door. There are so many amazing titles and they get passed over simply for not looking as glossy as modern games. My fav is still a game called Septerra Core. Amazing game
unlabelledView post →Playing Septerra Core right now. I remember I found this game demo from a disc in the trash when I was a kid and I always wanted to play it full. It took me 24 years but well, I'm doing it now #septerracore #steamdeck #retrogaming #gaming #fediplay #retrogames

I remember watching her playing through Midgar before starting my own save. We had PRINTED OUT an entire walk through because someone my sister met icq told her about the secret characters and we could not figure out how to get Vincent. I set up my dialog boxes with a really garish rainbow effect and I think I maxed out the in…
