This was a solid tower defense game on android. The Steam version suffers from being a lazy port. The controls haven't been properly reworked for PC, the slider where you select your mission is slightly bugged (clearly intended to be swiped with a finger and just badly ported over for mouse), and the graphics are poorly detailed when viewed on a normal sized computer monitor or TV. I think if these guys had just put in a bit more effort, it could have been a good port. As it is for now, there…

First things first: ------------------------------ THIS IS A HORRIBLE PORT! ------------------------------ I am sorry, but it is. This is exactly the mobile game, ported to PC without changing anything. It has no resolution options (and only a low/high quality setting, nothing else). It only runs in window mode or in a stretched (!) fullscreen mode. Really, really bad. I have a native resolution of 1920*1200, so why the hell can't I get this exact resolution in the game? Instead I get this…

Solid, Simple, Tower Defense for fans of the genre. This is primarily a fixed path, but flexible tower placement game. Not a maze builder. After about 30 minutes of play, it appears to just be a bug free, direct port, of the mobile version. That is not necessarily a bad thing. I already own the android version and have beaten it before. Too many mobile to PC ports are buggy right off the start. So far this works fine for me in either full screen or windowed mode. Thumbs up to a smooth mobile…

I hate myself for trying to play this game, it starts out good (first hour) but then it's the same over and over again. The more difficult it gets the longer it takes to clear the stages (it actually doesnt raise the difficulty) so its always easy. It just takes forever, It's will slowly drain the life out of your soul, 2 campains / 40lvls of the same stuff, 4 difficulty settings = 160, + endless and challenge mode = i dont know 40 more / 200 levels A level usually takes 20min on easy and up…

An average game in 2018 which was great in 2010 I suppose. Sentinel 3 is the third game in series. It adds some new fresh mechanics. It distinguish the game from other TD games. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1409129806 The plot is usual. Aliens attacks earth. You need to protect it. Enemies go from entrance point to your base. If 1 alien reaches it you lose. But.. there are gates on the path. Enemies need to make a lot of attack to destroy it. So, basically, you place…

This game BARELY cuts the mark for that yes, and it's for the reason everyone assumes: the port is clearly an afterthought and I was never allowed to forget that while playing. For example, I eventually started pausing mid level every time I wanted to upgrade a tower, because actually selecting one with the mouse is a hit and miss thing - it tries to grab and slide the screen instead, which is utterly useless since the whole map fits fine in my screen. And don't start me on the level selection…

This game has all the trappings of the tried and true tower defense formula: There's the paths, baddies walk along it. There's the Land / Air dichotomy. There's the cheap damaeg tower, the slowing tower, the damage over time tower, the expensive zapping tower. There's some abilities you can use when you need that extra ooomph against the baddies when you need it. There's the mechanic of gaining interest on the money you've saved. There's occasional baddies that are resistant to X. There's the…

About what you would expect from a 5 dollar game... except that its a couple bucks more than that. Its a TD game, but not a very good one. The levels are all very bland and "samey," there are very few enemy types (although they can vary in strength amongst their kind), and it is very easy. The game never introduces anything which forces you to change your play style; your first two towers are all that you need to beat most every level. The game tries to add some spice to the typical TD recipe…

Ok, first thing - that "recommend" is more like "take it at your own risk". Shame there is no such option. With that said - game is not exactly bad, but it has a lot of flaws. But let's start with good part - game has lots of maps (35+), lots of modes and difficulties and nice interest system where you have to keep your defences to minimal, which adds to tactical part. That's about it for the good part. Now about bad stuff - first of all, game is really long. Each stage (except maybe very…

Tower Defense games are fun to me. I own a bunch, however, this one was a drag. The playtime required to get a 100% achievements was too much, plus there was no count-down after the 100K aliens killed mark. If the developers would listen to the fans in the forums and react to the input, I will change my recommendation, but for now... there's a lot of better games to choose from.

So, you are piloting this huge power armor reminiscent of the Tau Commander from Warhammer 40k and one of those ugly robots from Avatar (the movie). Then imagine you are outnumbered, outgunned and outmaneuvered by an evil alien race with infinite numbers of weapons and units. But imagine that despite this, against all odds, you and a handful of auto-turrets and drones join forces and open fire at them while screaming "THIS IS MY HOMEWORLD, WE WANT HOMEWORLD RELEASED ALREADY!! Pro:Four difficulty levels. Double speed option. You can build and use abilities while the game is paused. Con:Options are limited to fullscreen/windowed and sound levels. Graphics ported directly from the mobile version. Lazy port with mobile features still intact (e.g. you have to buy upgrade slots). Respeccing the commander is expensive. Towers and abilities lack creativity. Levels take too long. Little variation in enemies. Too few placement options. Conclusion Sentinel 3 is not the worst…

It's fine. This is a Tower Defense game. The graphics are modest, the music is repetitive but Okish. The story is not the big deal. No bugs but some stuff can cause a crash but is random and very rare. Runs on Win 7. Overall, it's entertaining but among the many TD games available it might be just above the meh side. It features two big campaigns, endless mode, and other variants. The game is unpolished and unbalanced. The enemies are bullet sponges and all your towers fully upgraded, and…

A very underrated tower defense game, but pretty standard for the formula. It's fun to play some music to and have sit in the background. If I have any complaint though, it's the extremely dated wubba wubba kind of music... you know, dubstep. It's kind of horrible.

This is actually a really nice tower defense game! Some of the complaints here are valid, however, I still managed to find almost 20 hours of enjoyment in this game. Very simplistic and casual, if this interests you...get it! Great graphics, great sound, great gameplay, and great user interface. Totally worth the money! Would buy again...9/10.

I have been playing TD games for quite a while, and I'm more "Selective" now with this genre... Said that I'm really enjoying this game Scenarios with lots of waves... a Commander to level up.... and Maximized towers that really make a difference! What else can I ask for in a TD game? ;) Old-School graphics really don't bother me Good price for hours of gameplay ;)

Great to see that 'Revealing Methane Super-Emitters and Methane Leakages' is identified as one of the 12 'Groundbreaking Science Discoveries' made using satellites. Sentinel-5P TROPOMI has been a real game changer for this work, including when used together with Sentinel-2 and Sentinel-3.

Loved the mobile version, and this is essentially a direct port but using mouse instead of finger. It's a shame they didn't spend extra time tuning it for desktop use. The graphics are blurry, and some of the interactions are clumsy to do with a mouse. Still a gg tho, and definitely worth it for the price.

I don't agree with some of the harsher reviews on this game. This is a pretty good TD game. I own it both for the PC and Steam and I enjoy them both. The graphics are just fine and look good on my 1440p monitor. I do have a few complaints about the interface, though. To me, the space bar should pause the game, but it does not. I have very fond memories of this game playing it in the early days on android after getting it for like 10 cents because Android store had that 1 billion app promo or something. It still slaps. Sure it is a lazy port but the nostalgia is worth the 1.17 euro I paid for it on sale. edit: This is a very nice game to open for 5-20 minutes at a time, same as on a phone. Very fun still.

Runs just fine without the need for third party patches or downloads. It is good: - Persistent-progression / meta-progression with lots of things to unlock & upgrade between battles. - Made before ESG ruined everything. - Absolute bargain if you get it on sale. - A unique mechanic that sets it apart from other TD's is that you earn interest on money not spent; a simple yet effective risk/reward system Minor Nitpicks: - Having a game with 90's graphics blast you with dub-step is jarring…

Sentinel 3: Homeworld is a mobile app that's been dumped on Steam as a cash grab by morally bankrupt mobile app developers. It's a badly made 2D retro pixel tower defense game designed for mobile phones and dumbed down harshly to accomodate the mobile peasants it was intended for. There's a sci-fi theme and a few different towers, but ultimately this pales in comparison in terms of both visuals and quality compared to even other mobile tower defense games like Kingdom Rush. Unique and addictive Tower Defense. I take exception to those who say this is a terrible port. I am one of those who played this game on an android device years ago. Yes the slider bar to pick maps is a bit wonky ..No F. .Big Deal...I like this game better on PC. What is really different about it is your mobile robot gate defender. Did I enjoy the game? Yes I did, but it is far from the best TD game there is. In fact I was bored with it around the 5 hour mark, it is a simple TD. It is a must buy when it goes on sale, and if you are looking to do 100% achievement from my understanding your looking at around 90+ hours of just "grinding". For a TD rating I would give it a 6 1/2 out of 10. Pros: Simplistic TD Graphics (enjoyed) The commander was cool The Price Neutral: Commander (The hero, who takes a very long time to…

As a fan of genre, I could say, so-so. If you are not one of us, I can't recommend. Pros: - Save game on exit, in the middle of fight. Not much Tower Defenses can offer it. - Campaign 2 is much better balanced, so you probably can enjoy the first half of it. Cons: - One wave - one enemy. - Interface are very unresponsive. You can stomp a gun tower 3 or 4 times, before it shows you an upgrade menu. Because map moves a few pixels up/down every time you click on battlefield. - Extremely linear…

Not for me. Towers have a single upgrade path, and the 'max level upgrades' feel uninspired. It has a few interesting ideas which could've had better implementation. For example, commander abilities such as the missiles are good early game, but have no impact in later waves, whereas the ion bomb takes so long to charge up you get to use it maybe twice in a game, and if you use it when you need it, it just means you'll lose 2 waves later. You can select towers beforehand, but with little intel…

Sentinel 3 is an old-school "fixed path" tower defense game where you are to defend your outposts from all comers by deploying and upgrading turrets and prevent enemies from breaching your defense barriers and destroying your installations. They can only come certain ways along a path, and you can place turrets somewhere along this path. The special *schtick* of Sentinel 3 is you have a special commander unit on scene that can act as a mobile turret / repair / buff unit that you can upgrade and…
