So I’m trying out the Sand Land game, and I’m enjoying the Toriyama-inspired 3D models. It looks very Toriyama. But it’s just making me think of chuds trying to appropriate Toriyama’s work.

It's a bit hard to recommend, it gets way too repetitive fast, the voice lines while exploring will drive you mad, here's a fix for that, you need to rename a file. Go to <GAME_DIR>\SANDLAND\Content\CriNonAsset\Sound\en\ and rename the ACS_V_MSG_MAP.awb file to whatever you want. Overall the art style is the main selling point and the story is decent if you are familiar with Toriyama's works. Gameplay, the open world nature of the game and the reused assets to fill it and pad it, makes…

Another not cheap game but definitely you wouldn't miss a thing if you don't play. Main reason why it's not cheap because of the publisher. This game has a lot of content and even has post game content. But I will leave it to you to discover as you play. Roughly would take around 80-90 hrs for the full game content to complete would defend on your skill on 3D game. There would be some grinding of materials for upgrades but not to the point of getting dull. I'm not sure if I'm lucky or not but…

I'll try to keep this short. First, it's cool to see more of Akira Toriyama's work, outside of Dragon Ball, be acknowledged. Follow Beezlebub, Thief, Rao and Ann as they go an adventure to restore water to the titular Sand Land, and beyond. There's plenty to do, from exploring ancient ruins, competing in races and even bounty hunting. You'll have plenty of customization, both your characters' skills and the game's many vehicles. One of the few criticisms I have is that some side quests can have…

Take away Toriyama's art style and what we have here is a "pretty okay" budget title. I purchased this on sale at half-price and still feel like I overpaid. The Good: Toriyama's artwork and the feeling that you are playing through episodes of an anime. The Bad: Dated mechanics, monotonous, boring gameplay. It feels like your playing through an anime, but only the filler episodes. Other negative reviews have already said it all, but I'm here to say it again. Repetitive dialog from your…

As a huge fan of the late Akira Toriyama, this game is just wonderful. It is a slow burner, but the maps are HUGE, there's so much to do, the characters are charming, the vehicles are massively upgradable and customizable and the story is engaging. The ONLY true thing that I don't like is the repeating dialogue (but you can shut it up by using Thief's abilities to cut them short) I really thought this game would be a short, half-arsed made game, but it's NOTHING even close to that, in my…

Well. I gave it a fair shot. It suffers from the blandness that many Open World games suffer from, unfortunately. The world is huge, but it is... empty. One could argue that because the principal setting is a desert, it's supposed to be empty, but those people aren't fun at parties. The good parts: the Toriyama art style that I've always loved, the sheer fun of punching a hole through your enemies with your tank, and the whole mechanic of recruiting new NPCs to a homebase and seeing it…

I really wanted to like this. It seems like a great realization of a world created by Toriyama which you can freely explore. The graphics are gorgeous, the story is charming, the gameplay feels nice enough. Unfortunately the content itself just seems like the same enemies scattered all over the place and minor loot chests sitting out in the open, just waiting to be grabbed. No challenge, no secrets, no platforming, no puzzles, no real mechanics to engage with. I couldn't get the sense of…

SAND LAND seems pretty cool at first glance, thanks to the graphics and the overall visuals, also because of the characters and somewhat of the story and even the big enough world you can go around and explore. The premise and the idea is also promising, the game is lengthy enough, has many quests and side content to play and honestly I would be pretty happy to leave this game here, but... Would recommend the game to anyone that is interested in Toriyama's artstyle. The story is very good, and while I agree with others at the very beginning of the game Beelz feels clunky to control in combat without a vehicle, once you level him up a bit and unlock his combos, combat outside of vehicles feels very smooth. As for the vehicles themselves, they're all fun in their own way, though I personally tend to favor the tank overall. Honestly 10/10 game that is super fun to sit down and…

I would recommend this under certain criteria. You have to really like the art style and appreciate the silliness it offers. Don't take anything to seriously and don't get bogged down in collections or side quests. Just let the weirdness of it all take you through it. A very family friendly situation that warms the heart at times. I read the manga and watched the anime, and being a long-time Akira Toriyama fan, Sand Land really took me by surprise—in the best way. The game nails the spirit of Toriyama’s world with genuine authenticity, and that alone makes it feel special. Knowing this was his final big project before he passed adds an emotional weight, like a heartfelt tribute you can feel as you play. Toriyama’s charm is everywhere here: quirky characters, humor, warmth, and a big sense of adventure. Belzebub, Rao,…

Sand Land was an interesting experience. The world is vast, and while it sometimes felt a bit empty, I honestly didn’t mind. There’s a certain charm and relaxing vibe that kept me playing. I went in expecting more of an RPG feel, but it ended up playing more like an open-world adventure game. I spent most of my time in vehicles rather than on foot, and thankfully, they handle pretty well. It's like being in an anime version of mad max, I love it. Vehicle combat is pretty fun but, as with most tank games, it essentially boils down to: drive in a circle and fire. The hand to hand combat is competent enough but is standard 3rd person brawler. The companions say the same voice lines over and over so get prepared for that. But somehow all together it becomes more than the sum of its parts and is a genuinely fun vehicle combat anime game. Not really that far in but I'm hooked on…

It’s not a AAA game but it’s charming as hell. Physical combat is okay, with a small upgrade tree, but the variety and customization of vehicles is where the game really shines. What a wonderful and relaxed game. The story is really charming and something out of an anime. It's a hidden gem of a game, the story is good and extremely long with 30 hours roughly. The main issues is that the game feels a bit repetitive later on and you can easily become overpowered, thus making boss battles feel like a joke. Nevertheless, I deeply enjoyed this game and recommend it, if you want something simple and charming to play.

Get this. Play this. One of Akira Toriyama's works. There are even some dragonball references. From Dabura himself (but with horns), to those mechs with skull heads. It is a lot of fun and has some enemies from dragon quest, though it is a whole separate universe. It is an action rpg where you get a tank. The rpg stuff is very light but it is fun. You can upgrade and colour and customize vehicles. Seriously, just play it. I am sure Toriyama would appreciate it, bless his soul.
