It has my recommendation for people who like the genre and artsy, surreal worlds.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really enjoyed this one! The little alien world is so strange and creative, and I liked the humor throughout the game. The puzzles were fun to figure out, and I really liked the overall atmosphere. Another lovely game from Amanita Design!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Samorost 2, a game by amanita design lovely non stressful puzzle game, the aesthetic and the vibes are immaculate if you're into weird natural shit
unlabelledView post →It's a classic Amanita Design point and click puzzle game and it's dirt cheap at sale, but man is it glitchy. I don't remember it being this bad? Is it windows 11? Triggers and interactive objecs break all the time, forcing you to restart the level, sometimes it can be solved by changing from windowed and full screen mode, other times you'll need to restart the scene (they are all super short, so you don't waste that much time). I would usually think the glitches would have been absolutely…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Even though the story and characters are quite cute, and even though I love Machinarium, sadly I cannot recommend this game. The problem is not its short length; the main issue is that the gameplay is frustrating in general. Sometimes, to solve a puzzle, I ended up clicking through the entire screen, trying to find an actionable pixel; other times, I had to perfectly time a combination of actions to get it right, which became annoying. There are things to enjoy in this game, but overall I feel…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When I was very little, I would beg my dad to find this game on flash games every couple months so I could play through the entirety of it. Took me a while to find it again. I'm very glad I did. Excellent game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →these games were made with love
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I find the art very charming but I dislike directionless puzzles. In some of the scenes, you have to click around to get an idea of where to start with the solution and I don't find that fun.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Samorost, Pt II Key features Simple gameplay, Short adventure Kind version of John Wick Malicious aliens steal your dog and you must get it back! Entire gameplay is about clicking here, there, pulling items in specific order and moving from one small area to another. There are funny creatures, non harmful interactions, happy end and all that wrapped up in a distinctive graphics. Nice game! https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3707564185
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Following the first game example, game continues to do what works and is still beautiful
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yeah, it looks surrealist visually, that's on spot. But the gameplay... Especially the last screen... Horrible. Without guide, it's unplayable. The only other positive thing I can think of: It's short. Yeah, beaten over a bit more than an hour, but because first, I tried to complete it without walktrough guide. With that, it would be no more than 15 minutes. It's just not worth the time I wasted.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game has really progressed compared to the first part, both in terms of graphics and puzzles, which have become better and more numerous. But the overall impression was slightly spoiled by two bugs that did not allow the use of items, namely the bells at the penultimate location and the last one, but with a kettle. This is easily solved by restarting the game. If you do not look at these minor disadvantages, in conclusion, the game is interesting, although it still remains quite short.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Terrible. After the first 1 didn't impress me that much I still got part 2. Unfortunately this one hass multiple game breaking bugs. Some of them happen because you don't finish a series of puzzles on the EXACT timing which is not just hard to do, but gives you NO indication that you missed a click so you click and click forever until you realize you might have to go backwards and redo, over and over until you watch a walkthrough and realize that everything you are doing right but the game…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A short point and click game. The art and non verbal characters are really surreal and charming. The puzzles are kinda weird and usually involve clicking a series of things on the screen in the right order, or dragging something from one place to another. It can be really hard to tell what's clickable and what's not, which I think might be the greatest source of challenge and frustration. I don't remember how this got in my backlog. Would I say it's worth spending $5? Probably not for me…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A short, cozy point-and-click adventure that continues what the original Samorost started. You step back into that quiet, surreal universe full of gentle humor, charming visuals, and wordless storytelling that defined Amanita Design’s style.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ergh. I love these games. Beautiful, abstract, creative. It’s short at around an hour and not really worth $5, but maybe $1. Decent job on remastering it. Not the greatest game ever or anything. Typical P&C frustrations such as unclear click points. Everything was going fine until the final puzzle. It’s timed, can be failed, and requires tedious backtracking and redoing activities to attempt again. This absolutely soured me on the entire game. You should never have timing or real time…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Continuation of the Samorost series... Samorost 2 is over... this time we're flying to rescue our dog. We were living peacefully, but then some bandits landed on our house and stole the dog... so we followed them, to save the dog. Brief and to the point Compared to the first game, the game's length has improved. I spent an hour completing it. The puzzles have become more challenging, and some of them, naturally, have become more difficult; I had to sit and think (at one point I was just…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love the other games but this one is simply broken. So many times things become unclickable and if you don't do things in the exact order they will break too. Beautiful art, it's a shame that it hasn't been fixed.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A cute little 1-hour point-and-click with immaculate vibes and a fascinating art style that unfortunately stumbles at the ending and has the last puzzle be one of those annoying timed puzzles where, if you don't click the right parts in sequence, you lose a resource from a previous screen and you have to go back and harvest that resource again. Everything else was a blast! I love this weird little photobash driftwood space world! I'm just a little miffed about the farting seals puzzle because…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →and 17/100 - Samorost 2 I played machinarium many years ago and loved it. The other amanita design games have been sat in my library for a while. Loved this one, a short and sweet point and click adventure game. I adore the background art in this. 8/10

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got it on a sale, and I think it was worth it. The game itself is quite short, but every screen is stunning and I really dig this art style. If you are uncertain about it, just try Samorost 1: it is free and, having played it not that long ago, the first game basically stands as a demo/introduction for Samorost 2.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the game concept and art is interesting, but the game is so buggy and glitchy that i cant progress
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The sequel feels slightly longer than the first game, but it's just as cute. Sometimes it's hard to tell what is interactive or what needs to be done, but nothing too hard.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →major childhood nostalgia game <3 very simple and sweet, with unique art style
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's more involved and longer than the first one, but it is even more obtuse. One really needs help from the google gods. That's fine. I can follow instructions, but when it requires coordinated pushes of buttons done at the right time, it is not even follow the directions fun. It becomes tedious frustration.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This experience was very close to that of the first game to me. It is twice as long as the first game (around 40 minutes for me) And in some panels you have to think a bit and try more things. I could feel a couiple of times that what to do was a but unintuitive (Plain panel where you have to click the pyjamas guy multiple times so he falls down, the final panel with the lighthouse was a bit tricky and kinda unintuitive) But nothing too horrible. Had to whip out a walkthrough for the last…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →relaunch game if switching full screen/windowed mode doesn't work on mouse clicking interaction issue
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →More charming Samorosting gameplay. Similar to Samorost 1, but maybe twice as long and with more puzzles. The art remains very strong, though the evil aliens look a little bit out of place but that is a minor nitpick. You should definitely czech this game out.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It was weird and just wasnt an experience I enjoyed. The art is nice tho
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very short but very cute little point-and-click game. Well worth the buy, especially at the current sale price (as of 10/24/25)! It's a steal! One slight con however... you may experience bugs that cause you to be unable to click on or drag items needed to progress. For me, restarting and playing in windowed mode fixed this. On Steam Deck, I suggest playing in desktop mode, I had no issues there!

unlabelledView post →You gain something, you lose something. I more or less described Samorost 2 this way. That game lost part of the simplicity and dadaist elegance of the original in favour of a more defined structure, more textured (brown) environments and more stakes. Machinarium doubles down on that.
unlabelledView post →It is a short but very charming game. If you need to just chill and end your day without having to be very focused then it fits the bill. The puzzles are not very difficult so you wont have to spend a lot of time on one stage.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →very charming game but i'm glad i got it on sale since it takes less than an hour to play. so i would recommend only if getting it on sale tbh
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Following footsteps of the original game, the Samorost 2 keeps the core gameplay as same in a new storyline. Perfect game for younger minds to hook into whimsical and short stories alike. Easy 100% achievement completion by just finishing the game. Final score: 9/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →We played a bit of The Wild At Heart after finishing Samorost 2 and wow, what a game. I've already cried, artstyle is beautiful, mechanics are fun and the "oh shit, oh shit oh shit" as night is falling?? Very good. The use of sound is commendable.
unlabelledView post →Kind of ok. Interesting graphics. I had to read the walkthrough twice: -A timed click. -A path to another screen that starts out of the actual screen.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Samorost 2 expands on the ideas shown in the first game, but it is still a rather short game at around one hour long, but definitely worth it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great fun But beware playing in game mode - for some reason it can break interactions - go to desktop and go windowed mode
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →well that was fun. talked for a bit then ended up booting up Samorost 2. good solid game and had to look up a guide at some points as it was not clear what i had to do at points. Raided into @dillydalidew.bsky.social

Best for: Players who enjoy experimental, art-driven experiences where atmosphere and discovery matter more than challenge. Skip if: You want length or mechanical depth. It's easily finished in under an hour, with puzzles that rely more on trial-and-error clicking than logic, and no inventory or dialogue…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quirky animations and fun puzzles that won't overheat your brain. Amanita Designs at it's finest. If you like this I would recommend checking out their other games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short and sweet little adventure game. Very cute and imaginative. You're playing as a little man trying to save his dog from alien kidnappers by doing click and point puzzles. Would be ideal for a child, but even as adult I enjoyed it greatly.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →8.1/10 - Cute hand drawn point and click puzzle game. Very short.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An improvement upon it's predecesor, Fun 60 minute experience that is worth trying out.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Samorost 2 is a delightful short point and click game that made me feel nostalgic of my childhood. The artstyle and gameplay has a kind of similar vibe to the books by Sven Nordqvist. The game contains no dialogue or written language, which makes it easy to play for all ages. It is fun, whimsical and a troughout pleasant experience. I highly recommend it. If you are curious, Samorost 1 is free. Having played that one, I do not think you're missing anything out by starting on this one.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I encountered some minor graphical glitches, but they weren't game-breaking. The game is charming and well worth what I paid for it. Only 40 minutes long, though, so maybe wait for sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simple, calm enjoyable game. Nice taste of something different if you're looking for an inbetween game. Love the sound effects.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →so broken and buggy it's offensive
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A good point and click game set on a surreal world like the first game, but now with a cute dog you must rescue. It is longer and harder than its predecessor, with even a puzzle requiring some timing, but nothing really hard. It is still a short adventure that I can recommend for anyone that likes this kind of game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →well dev cant fix a bug that's been in the game for years that make it imposable to complete the game and no i will not rest the whole game just to hope it doesn't bug again
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Samorost 2 is a very short game, however, what is packed into that small playtime is an utterly charming world. Combined with its creative puzzles, the world that Samorost 2 displays an be described as whimsical, warm and strangely nostalgic - the whole Samorost series reminds me greatly of Button Moon, a UK children's show from the 80's. I'd highly recommend Samorost 2, it is an amazing successor to the original FLASH game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great point and click. Playing it with children.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →bugs requiring continuous level restarts, no guide/help. some puzzles were fun to solve and i felt great the moment i managed to progress but there is a limit. don't get me wrong, i love everything about Amanita Design aesthetics and i can't wait to play Samorost 3. if this game is not important for lore in Samorost 3, it's not worth it.
