Nowadays you can fit every SNES and Genesis game on an SD card the size of a fingernail! Have you kids even tried Rocket Knight Adventures?👴

unlabelledView post →Rocket Knight Adventures is one of my favorite Sega Genesis game. 🚀 Lowkey one of my favorite platformers from that generation.
unlabelledView post →Looks absolutely beautiful; but plays like your average, everyday, shovelware cute-mascot-character platformer. It's a poor imitation of the original Rocket Knight Adventures game: instead of sharp, responsive controls, Rocket Knight suffers from floaty controls and poor hit detection. To be honest, there's little to describe the game other than 'mediocre' - mediocre platforming, mediocre Gradius-style flight sections, mediocre soundtrack (even the remixed first level theme feels weak and…

unlabelledView post →I'm a big fan of Rocket Knight Adventures. To me, it's probably one of the best-designed videogames of all time. Rocket Knight 2010 is...surprisingly decent. I wouldn't put it on the level of the 16-bit games though. Since I've already written the end of the review, I'm going to skip past the nonsense about plot and whatever whatever. You're an opossum with a jetpack, go fly around and hit stuff with your sword. Each of the four levels in this game are broken up into multiple stages.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Here we go with another weekly retro game recommendation. Rocket Knight Adventures for the Sega Megadrive / Genesis is a super solid and appealing platformer that really stood out from the pack at the time and still does today. There's a sequel that I sadly don't own a copy of. #retro

unlabelledView post →Completed Rocket Knight (2010) and it's nothing to write home about. Now onto a new game and I know some of you recognize this absolutely based game. I'm just as entranced as the first time I played it on Xbox 360.
unlabelledView post →One of my favorite examples of this is Rocket Knight Adventures on the Genesis. The world of the game feels so rich but the story is told completely through stuff happening during gameplay and wordless vignettes.
unlabelledView post →The only Rocket Knight Adventures I ever played was Sparkster on SNES. Went in blind, only later thumbing through the user manual. It's such a rich game with surprising variety (Mecha Boxing Fight??) and gives off the vibe that there is more going on in the lore than you get to see. 😲 Cute figure! 😍

unlabelledView post →the more i play games the more i feel that this concept just doesn't exist and it's good that it doesn't, because the "imperfections" are character-ful and highly appreciable. it's better that a game has great highs & fun imperfections than being absent of "lows". anyway Rocket Knight Adventures
unlabelledView post →Game 259: Rocket Knight Adventures This one is such a joy to play. Controls are snappy and simple, there's plenty of variety, the boss fights are hype as hell, it looks super good... Honestly, of all the games in the Genesis library, this is among the titles that has aged the best.
unlabelledView post →Compared to the original Rocket Knight Adventures/Sparkster games, this entry is ....room temperature distilled water. Bland, unfulfilling, but not disgusting or worthless. The basics are there, to an extent, but it isn't good or interesting enough to really be anything but an introduction to Sparkster for people born long after the SNES/Genesis era.

unlabelledView post →Rocket Knight Adventures is a platform game developed Konami. You play as Sparkster, a possum knight equipped with a rocket pack and a sword as he attempts to stop the evil Devotindos Empire from destroying the planet using a starship known as the Pig Star. Have you played it?
unlabelledView post →Tried my hand at redesigning Sparkster, from the game Rocket Knight (1993)
unlabelledView post →I think Sparkster: Rocket Knight 2 might be my favorite in the series so far. Its not quite as cheerful as the first game and lost its 80s anime-esque art style, but the improvements to the gameplay cannot be ignored! 😁 #sparkster #sega

unlabelledView post →Rocket Knight! Excellently fun game that takes things back to the basics, and it works, its a breath of fresh air. If you played Rocket Knight Adventures 1 and 2 before, then you'll enjoy this game just as much, the gameplay is pretty much the same as the classic with a few improvements made here and there. The game still comprises of platforming segmants, boss battles and of course, the flying segments which play in the same way a side scrolling shoot'em up plays, all in all, a nice…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A mediocre platformer that preys upon our nostalgia for a classic Sega Genesis title. Skip this and go pick up Rocket Knight Adventures right this second - you'll have a far better time.

unlabelledView post →I've never been one to write reviews, but as a huge fan of the original Rocket Knight game for genisis I felt like I had to get this game. Seeing it brought back so many good memories... Playing it however... Where to start on just how bad this game is. Starting with the game play, it is nothing like the original. The levels are boring, the enemies are weak, and the controls just suck on so many levels. The original game gave you a lot to try and each had a reason for being there. This game,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I mean... if you took one look at this and said "This might be decent"... you need to get your head examined. I bought this in a humble bundle 5+ years ago for $11 with like a bunch of other better games, just got bored enough to go and give it a whirl... something mindless while I killed some time... yeah brutal. It's as bad as it looks... if you cherish the memory of the original game, don't even bother, it takes a huge diarrhea dump all over it. Graphics are cell phone quality trash and so…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not up to the Rocket Knight/Sparkster name as the game is incredibly easier and doesn't have the tight platforming you'd expect from it. However it's by no means bad, it's just not as good as it's 16-bit counter parts on the SEGA Genesis/Mega Drive and Super Nintendo. If you're looking for an amusing platformer with some fun elements to it, this is your game, it's fun, it's got some variety to the gameplay, the game looks good, sounds good, however if you're looking for a new Sparkster? This…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →2. Opening level I've bounced off Sparkster on the Mega Drive literally every time I've tried to play it despite being a huge fan of Rocket Knight Adventures, but this is an absolute all timer of a tune. Makes me want to like the game so much more than I do.
unlabelledView post →It’s Rocket Knight can you blame him, heh This takes me back, game ads where crazy
unlabelledView post →If an attract demo like this can't convince you to try out Sparkster (a SNES off-shoot of Rocket Knight Adventures, which is on the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive), I sure don't know what will! Just look at those graphics and game mechanics! It's a heck of a game.
unlabelledView post →First I'm seeing of your game, but I have to say I'm really impressed! I'm getting Sonic, Mega Man X, Rocket Knight, and even some Gunstar Hereoes vibes here? I'd love to learn more about this game!
unlabelledView post →Who ever developed this, clearly didn't work on the original Rocket Knight or Sparkster. This game doesn't flow well, the controls are awkward. The graphics are very poor, they mix 3D objects with 2D animations and it doesn't look good. The menu sprites are low quality, everywhere is telling you Keyboard controls not joypad controls. The sound effects are awful, at the start i had to turn them down, but that didn't help much as the music is poor as well. This game probably would of been better…

unlabelledView post →Rocket Knight (2010) cleared! That was certainly a game. I'm trying to get the unlockables in Hard mode which requires a guide to really discover, but once I do I'm finally gonna start on the script for this whopper of a retrospective. 😂 #rocketknight #konami

unlabelledView post →Here's some pretty cool crt pictures I found of Rocket Knight Adventures! I don't see many people talk about this game series 😥
unlabelledView post →Not as inspired as the original but a pretty good reboot for the most part. It can also be finished in under two hours and isn't all that challenging. Fans of the original game should pick it up for under $10.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Rocket Knight is the best game... but I'd be lying if the Bubsy cover didn't speak to me as a kid.
unlabelledView post →TL;DR: Designed for children of the modern era, not for fans of the original games. Difficulty: Easy - The game poses little challenge to anyone but children of the modern era, with one one or two small moments where some thought or skill is required. Graphics: Good - Consistent style persists throughout and while I don't personally like the childish theme or the re-design of the main character, there's nothing too bad about the graphical direction in general. Mechanics: Decent - Most…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun, rock solid platforming action. Decent graphics with a clean but cartoony art style, and engaging gameplay with just the right number of abilities to keep it interesting without it becoming overly complicated.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not even close to the Konami classics but it's still an enjoyable platformer. Though not the comeback that we were hoping for, at least Rocket Knight retains its action platformer roots instead of being turned into another horrible 3D adventure game.
