60 of 131 · most liked firstTheoretically, this is a good, simple game. In practice, it's agony and frustration. The graphics are nice, the gameplay simple but fun, etc. I wanted to like it - in fact, I do like the core game - but it's surrounded by so many problems that it's impossible to enjoy. There are little things: no documentation, incredibly repetitive music. Some cludginess with the interface that makes inventory management awkward. (Want to see which character needs an item more? Go to one screen to trade…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is good. Most of the negative reviews are due to the numerous bugs that rendered it nearly unplayable at launch. But the devs are constantly releasing patches and eliminating the bugs. The game, as of this review's date, is completely playable. I encountered no bugs during my 7 hours of play time. However there are some down sides to this game. Death mechanic makes the game a bit grindy and it might be frustrating in later levels. If your character dies, it gets prisoned at that level…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Worst introduction to a game ever. I had to literally complete the starting dungeon seven times (once each with every character) to even unlock their starting weapons and abilities. Pair this with an unforgiving difficulty level and I must have done that first, dull dungeon a dozen times now. I'm 1,4 hrs into the game and feel tired of the grind already. Judging by the difficulty curve of the following two dungeons, character progression will demand you do every dungeon with every character,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Rezrog puts a spin on roguelike permadeath and gives you not one, not two; but seven chances to rescue yourself from game over. Lead a team of adventurers on a table-top style dungeon crawl, but we warned: the journey will be perilous. Currently, there are several known bugs, so some may want to hold off for bug fixes, Here's some first impressions with more gameplay to come as I progress: https://youtu.be/es6upBp5NGk Your journey begins as many do, in a tavern. Where, you can name your…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game seemed rather exciting, and less than 20 minutes and 2 levels in, I was commited to playing this as my new time-killer; up until after reaching the end of the second level the game crashed and when I re-loaded I was unable to complete any dungeon, ever. I tried uninstalling and re-installing, I tried disbanding my party and resetting the game, tried deleting all local content in hopes it would erase whatever bug had occured, but all of it was to no avail. I can no longer progress the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A dungeon grinder rpg that is really simple with limied content, This game is for people who like grinding and don't mind lack of content. That being said I will still NOT recomend it to anyone because of its gamebreaking bugs. Frequently you will find yourself unable to complete a dungeon because a bug makes you unable to enter rooms you need to enter to progress, and all of your time spent in that dungeon will have been wasted. This Problem has existed since release and it still hasn't been…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Too many bugs making progression very difficult and time consuming as you have to restart levels and hope it does not bug out when you try it again.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bugs Too many bugs //After 2 days its still unplayable Refund
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Within the first half hour of playing, two game-breaking bugs occurred: 1. One of the game's pop-up panels could not be closed. It was in the foreground, so that I could not press the buttons of looting pop-ups that appeared behind it. 2. I could not traverse a room - all possible paths were blocked by objects. There was only one other room left unexplored in the dungeon, so the blocked room prevented me from solving the dungeon, and my character got stuck there. I refunded. Would I try this…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game needs a tutorial, and a reworking. You don't control a party of adventurers, just one of them at a time, through a clumsy interface which has them walking through squares which damage them as often as not. Furthermore the game's set up so you'll have to run each of the seven adventurers through each dungeon individually. And you can only target monsters along orthogonal lines, which is irritating. Better explanation would have had me less frustrated, but I'd still have asked for my…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As I write this I have not gone beyond dungeon 10. Here's my rebuttal to the two objections I found in negative reviews: 1) The game gets stuck. True. But just hit escape and you exit the dungeon. You might lose whatever you gained from that dungeon, but you can always replay it. You can also use escape to not play a dungeon that doesn't have the challenge you want. 2) The game is too grindy. True. It's simple. If you binge play with a specific goal of finishing, it's going to be…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do not buy! Game is abandoned! Not playable due to gamebreaking bugs! Such a shame cause it really had potential!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wow. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. Completely unplayable. Game breaking bugs literally stop all progress and you cannot progress. Dev's haven't addressed a single issue since 2017. Dead game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Let me start by saying that i've only played about 2 hours but I actually really like this game. The board game aesthetic is well done and well animated. I like the various characters and each cutout is very detailed and chaming. I appreciate that the equipped items are reflected on the cutout pieces. The way that the game is structed really evokes a "let's go crawl some dungoens" feeling, even if the story seems a bit light. However, I simply can not recommend this game at this time.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game, but with the Shared Item stash being broken, (Items dissapear when transfering other items from character to character) it makes it impossible to have a fair game being set up. when health potions go poof in your inventory cause you want to transfere an item to another toon who can make better use of the item? Well that just kills the game for me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I give up! Too many bugs... Too bad because this game is pretty nice and fun if only it has been tested properly...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I loved this game, initially. I didn't mind going through each dungeon level multiple times. What I mind is the fact that my game is perpetually crashed, I'm stuck in the tavern with the Characters (I) appearing, unable to click, move, progress or interact. It seems as if all my progress is gone, and I just can't continue playing. I don't know if or when I'll pick it back up, I'm that thoroughly disappointed. EDIT: four years later and I still can't play and no community response either. I…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →To be honest i am a HUGE fan of PnP so this game was a must have. And in the beginning everything was great, it crashed 4 times until it finally launched but that was fine. I thought it's my computer causing trouble again and as i started playing, i forgot about this rather small nuisance. Got a little frustrated when my first dude died, but i thought "wow, this game is quite challenging" ... so i began to grind exp and gear, am a huge fan of the game over all and the different classes, altho…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I find the game fun, but with some flaws that should have been ironed out before being a full release on steam. The good: -Great aesthetics -Good dungeon crawl feel -Interesting looking characters -you aren't locked into any one path with any character, if you really want your mage to go sword and board, they can, it just won't be as effective as having the dwarf do it. -challenging difficulty -Interesting approach to permadeath, if you die in the dungeon, that character is stuck there until…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Te core of Rezrog is a painful grind. Basically, you have to complete first dungeon 7 times (one time with every character) to get all the starting skills/weapons for them. Unfortunately, this grind does not stop after first dungeon. After 30 minutes of playing I was already tired of doing same stuff over and over (no, combat is not as fun as it seemed on gameplays) and I have asked for my first refund on Steam. So much wasted potential... Maybe developers will somehow improve this game in the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is filled with bugs. Physically impossible to beat the game with ranged characters. Slaying an enemy in a different room with ranged attack prevent the player from enter that room, leaving the player with no option but to restart the game. Many skills are bugged to the brim... multi-hitting moves can literally produces a wide range of bugs ranging from freezing the game, crushing the game, somehow disorient the screen, to literally black out the graphics... I played the game for 2 days…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In July I wrote a review saying that the game would be great if it worked. Well I just turned it on and sticking with my guns. The game would be great IF IT WORKED. At best I have played the game for 10 minutes without game breaking problems. The most common issue I get is corrupted save files sometimes as soon as I start the game. The minor issues if you can call them that are skills that freeze the game, don't work, or some other items glitching in weird ways and then some characters just…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Interesting concept and tabletop game art style mixed with dungeon crawling and character progression. Requires careful and strategic play, rushing and making a few mistakes in combat can easily cost you your character. Sometimes difficulty can seem too great or too low, depending on your character class/equipment/skills and strategy. Provides good replay value if gearing up your characters with progressively better loot and skills is your thing. Can get a bit repetitive over time.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unable to beat first level on most heros without walking five tiles away from enemies to attack them because this stops the fight after you attack and they don't regen hp when this happens, already gamebreaking. Line of sight is only within a straight line in the four directions from your hero, guess I can live with that in a TBS RPG like this. Difficulty curve is insane and I was already turned off from this game within the first ten minutes seeing as I died within what I would call the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game has a bug that makes you lose all your progress. I've played 32 hours, the game crashed and had to restart all over. Then played another 40 hours, the game crashed and lost everything again. I loved the game but this bug made me dislike it, so I don't recommend.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have never seen a published game have so much game-breaking bugs and mistakes. Every dungeon the player goes to is going to be a gamble if the game isn't going to die on you while playing that dungeon. And even though there have been plenty of patches and these bugs are well known; they just aren't ever fixed! I can only assume this development team pays little attention to it's community. Other than that, the balance is just absolutely terrible. Some characters (like the summoner and…

While traveling through the lands of Rezrog they were independently set upon by groups of monsters. Finding each other and banding together to defeat the evil creatures, they decide to eat, drink, and sleep off their exertions in a nearby tavern. All is not well, however, as the tavern keeper and other patrons are…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this game, but am utterly sick of having to exit out of dungeons because of bugs keeping me from moving through open spaces or clicking on buttons to continue combat. Bottom line: this game's bugs make it too frustrating to be fun, even after multiple updates supposedly fixing said bugs. I'm done.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →After 5h gameplay the game crashed and can't be started again (stuck in tavern). Even new installation doesn't help...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's one of the few dungeon crawlers when exciting gameplay is matched by good graphics. Video review + gameplay https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LMpRh3kqNLk About The Game Rezrog is a dungeon crawler where you take your party of explorers (one at a time) to go through the world. The game is styled like a table-top, each level is a dungeon that literally takes place on the table. Every character is a tabletop figure. The Good • The style fits dungeon crawling perfectly: the board is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So I got quite fond of this grinding fest...I just like to grind. I looked the other way from the awful interface and the the many bugs, till one of my characters became permanently cripped from one bug that restricted his movement and wouldn´t go away. So, no I can´t recommend. Too many bugs and no intention to fix them.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First off, as of this writing/v1.05: The bugs, personally, have not been bad. In 15 hours of gameplay, I've had to abandon just three dungeons due to blocked doors. Good on the devs for working so hard to fix the issues. One does wonder if they beta tested, though. This is gonna meander, because gin. Pros: Having a selectable roster of seven characters is an entertaining spin on the dungeon-crawler. Fun design aesthetic. Cons: Despite how the devs advertise it, Rezrog a rogue-LITE at best.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Bought this game the day it released after watching some early gameplay on youtube, sadly a total let down. I am still waiting for there to be enough bug fixes to make the game playable.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lost save file with 20+ hours, and game crushed that could not even start a new run.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I took part in the alpha testing of this game and back then I would have reccommended it, IF you can get it to work and avoid bugs then great, I reccommend the game. Now for me though back in alpha everything worked well but now on full release I cannot progress passed the first dungeon it resets everything after completing the dungeon, I pointed this out to the developers back in aug 2017 and they gave very little help in resolving this and now it is still unresolved as I write this
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a bug riddled mess that the devs gave up on. you will get more pleasure out of three kinged sized snicker bars, plus sales tax with your 3.49
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game, but doors often act like there's an invisible barrier that prevents you from walking through them. When that happens, you have no choice but to abandon the dungeon (losing all exp, items, and progress you made) and try again. Considering each dungeon has ~15-30 doors, there is a not insigificant chance of needing to replay a level multiple times just to accomplish something you could have done the first time. This wouldn't be as frusterating, except you lose all of the exp and items…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So far so good. Did the first dungeon with all the characters, so far the Warrior is my favoite, not huge on ranged classes, but need to get them all their skills to judge fully. Very hard game... Rogelike. Somewhat glitchy as well, several characters come back with an empty backpack... Hopefully will be fixed. Overall though, I am really enjoying it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you like Card Dungeon or Card hunter, buy it. Not recommended for causal players.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this on sale for $1.29. It's got simple game mechanics, and a cool aesthetic. But it's got one glaring problem: It's not fun. When you're defeated, you have to send in another teammate to rescue captured heroes. I got my first guy through the dungeon alright. But every other player I sent through died at least twice, no matter what I did. So now my main tank guy is like level 4 just from rescuing all the newbs who can't even get through the starter dungeon without dying. This is not…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Why was there a rat behind the wall? Overall. nice art and competent programming, but felt like a huge waste of potential. The gameplay was (no pun intended) very flat.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has a really nice cardboard / tabletop aesthetic, cute characters, and simple rules. The game however, is the most grindy game I've ever played. You'll be re-doing the same dungeons multiple times, just to level up your guys, get gold, get gear, etc. The tutorial / first level does a very poor job preparing you for just how bad the rest of the game actually is. Do not buy this game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Since i downloaded this game, i've tried many times to start playing it. But every time i click on the play button, the caracters appear in the tavern, but i'm unable to click on anything in the screen, as if it was frozen.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is amazing!!! When it works... Game gets a lot of cannot move error which will prevent you from exiting, or reaching an objective you need to reach. Relogging helps sometimes, but really frustrating to spend 5-10 min in a dungeon only to be unable to finish it. :(
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is broken in it's current state. The game save files corrupted twice for me and I know I'm not the only one. The game is repetative enough that you have to play through the first dungeon seven times, but when I'm facing doing that for the third time there is somethign seriously wrong. Do not buy this game. It fun, but it's so horrible broken that even if you like the game like I did, you cannot even make progress.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pros: The art is cool Cons: Most everything else 1. This game is very buggy right now. Fire plumes spawn in front of doors you absolutely have to go through. Certain map tiles should be traversable, but you can't get past them. I once could not use a healing potion because the game said I didn't have enough mana to use it (died that round). 2. The grind and enemy power leaps make it not very fun. I had to run the 1st dungeon over and over again to get my characters to level 3. Went into the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great turned based dungeon crawler, well designed gameplay. Procedurally generated dungeons for loads of replayability. Stacks of loot.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →dont waste you money. the game is so buggy as to be quite unplayable. And the developers appear to have given up on it some years ago. Such a shame!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its more D&D then other games and i love it for that and its not a spastic 3d action crap so best game of his kind seeyaa
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Thought I would like this but I really don't. I mean, the cardboard cutout type aesthetic is cool, but the game itself is just not fun to actually play. I guess the best way for me to sum it up is that, it'll sucker you in with pleasing visuals, but leave you severely lacking when it comes to actually "playing" it. From a guy who loves rogue-likes, I unfortunately would not recommend.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game looks like it has some interesting bits to it, but the game is far too grindy for my taste. And I actually like a little bit of grind. You only get to send one adventurer at a time into a dungeon. If you lose, he gets captured. Only one adventurer at a time means you'll be playing and replaying every single level multiple times as you try to level up each of your adventurers. I leveled up a few of my characters to level 2 and successfully completed level 2 with one of my characters.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hello i'am not a fan of writing reviews but this game change my thinking and make me decide to write a review. i'am playing games since Atari Stella more than 28 years and on all those years iam searching for games like this. this game is amazing, everything i'am searching for in a game is exist in this one. when i read the negative reviews i was wondering why and wheres this bugs they are talking about i played for 17 hours without a single bug and i will write about what i love in this game.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is fun. However prior to its release on Steam, Satan decided to implement features that ruin the experience: The controls are awful. Your character will path through traps. Buying stuff is gambling. Transfering items over will take you a few minutes. Shared stash costs a fortune. Shared gem stash even moreso. ♥♥♥♥ this game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I never had any of the game breaking bugs others have had in the short time I played. I didn’t really find the gameplay difficult like others were complaining about. But the game was difficult to stomach. I was drawn it by the aesthetics and what I thought would have fun gameplay. The menus are a nuisance to use, very hard to just move items around and trade them. Controls are terrible and can’t be changed, can move the camera by holding middle mouse but it is painfully slow; the arrow keys…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Too hard... i mean FAR too hard to enjoy. This is a game for the maschoists. (Or people who suck at maths, but still play Monopoly at Christmas with family)
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played up to 11 hours. After that my characters were never locked up when they died but they lost all their items. So I restarted the game and it reset my progress and restarted the tutorial which wouldn't be that bad if I could actually click on a character. SO NOW every time I start the game it's at the beginning of the tutorial and I can't acutally play the game at all because I CAN'T CLICK ON ANYTHING. I'm all for indie devs but this was a waste of $10.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i can't play the game i don't know why i just can' play it freeze wen i click play
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nostalic little game, not overly complex. Perfect little time-thief. I started with version 1.0.1 and haven't had a single glitch yet. Really appreciate the ability to rescue a captured toon instead of true permadeath. Only minor complaint is lack of manual or tutorial, but it didn't take too much trial and error to figure things out. And it seems to have drawn my kids attention. Might need to get another copy for them... I give it 8/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game had a rough start, but has since been patched and works rather smoothly. The devs are transparent and willing to talk about what they're doing and are quick to handle issues. As far as gameplay, it's unique from other rogue-likes and the table-top idea is a lot of fun. Try it out.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pros -Interesting design: Absolutley nails the feeling of a tabletop rpg game. Watching the levels form is oddly satisfying. -Music & SFX: Serviceable but nothing remarkable. -Gameplay: Not overly complex but careful positioning is necessary in order to be successful. It's a simple, relaxing time killer of a game. Cons -Gameplay: Progression feels slow and I can already tell this game is going to be a massive grind. I feel like simplicity of the game is at odds with how hardcore and…
