unlabelledView post →The BBC love a good ‘sad song’ montage when England exit a major tournament. And 25 years ago today when they were knocked out of Euro 2000, the Beeb chose “Remember Me” from the Carlito’s Way film score. Poignant stuff.
unlabelledView post →I think Coco is much the better film personally, and I like Up. That first 20 mins in Up is tremendous but it does tail off for me when it kind of just becomes a standard adventure film. Coco is better balanced IMO. Miguel singing ‘Remember Me’ to Mama Coco still gets me. Also little Coco ‘Papa!’ 😢

unlabelledView post →Does anybody else remember that movie Remember Me…? I think about it often, because it’s actually a pretty touching film about how death and tragedy could upheave your life unexpectedly at any moment… But because we’re all awful, it’s remember more as the movie where the Twilight Guy died in 9/11.

unlabelledView post →Came home to my kids watching Coco and there's no more blatant example of Pixar's music theory than this. The whole film we hear "Remember Me" as this upbeat song. Then in the pivotal moments, we find out that no, it's a tender song between father and daughter. I am a puddle. 📽️
unlabelledView post →I saw the surprise KH4 trailer… haven’t watched Coco in years, last I saw was the Disney Cruise I was on in May playing the “Remember Me” scene in a Disney Music/singalong channel made for the ship itself. Great movie for sure!

unlabelledView post →Coco while looking incredible, also somehow does the Pixar trademark better than any film. They take the main song of the film (usually the score in other Pixar) and pepper you with the upbeat happy version of 'Remember Me' throughout. Then BAM knock you out with Miguel softly singing it at the end
