It is really, REALLY fun. store.steampowered.com/app/2129810/...
unlabelledView post →Just feels like an inferior Hades trying to be punk and cool, but failing to provide any depth, uniqueness, or engagement. Enemies quickly get repetitive, environments are samey, character dialogue is an awkward blend between medieval Shakespearean and modern slang, and the story just doesn't do enough to make me invested in the narrative, being in medias res of the MC trying to take down the tyrant with no world building. In the end, the gameplay is just boring, offering significantly less…

I don't understand shutting a studio before its hit-worthy game launches, either. (Read more: Studio Fizbin)

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty fun. It's obviously inspired by Hades but with less everything, which sounds bad but the important parts, the gameplay, the "blessings", upgrades and characters are there, making it very entertaining and engaging. It has it's difficulty (mostly with the cool bosses) and an interesting set of skills and weapons that add variety to the combos, and the artstyle is incredible with the portraits, the emphasis on colors and the environments. Overall, it's a really fun Roguelite, it falls…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →some more concepts of greater enemies and bellgrunt variants you'll see in our game REIGNBREAKER (WHICH COMES OUT TOMORROW😍‼️) They were quite fun to concept, especially the hell bellgrunt, since none else has glass and liquid in them like it does.. 🧪 artstation: www.artstation.com/artwork/vbxzEv
unlabelledView post →The artstyle is nice and has some really creative ideas, even if it's eye straining. Gameplay gets pretty fun but only after good few hours of play and unlocking more variety in enemies. Otherwise, it's painfully empty. The hub is pretty big but has ONE character in it. There are quite a few other characters that seem like they will lead to some plotlines or at least fun storytelling - but no. When you hear one dialogue with a character, you've seen them all. It makes everyone unlikable and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you are coming from Fanatical wondering if this game is worth $1, the answer is a big fat yes. This game is basically a light version of Hades. It’s not as good and doesn’t have as much variety, but it definitely scratches that itch and feels great to play (even with a mouse and keyboard). Honestly, I kinda feel bad for the devs, because I’ve played way worse games that somehow got better reviews and sales than this.

unlabelledView post →It's heartbreaking, because this is a VERY GOOD... tech demo. The dev team had the legs cut out from under them by the publisher and deserved better. As it stands, what you're buying is thin and under-baked. But the flashes of greatness make it fun even in that state. The publishing agreement it's here on Steam under gives the money you spend directly to the devs, who all ate ♥♥♥♥ when the publisher schlonged them. So, yeah, you can buy it, have some fun, and know that you're not funding the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Here's why I'm recommending Reignbreaker though: The combat. Whatever criticisms I might have about other aspects of the game, once I got into the rhythm of it, the combat just slaps. There's some very neat boss battles, and while encounters do lack variety, the gameplay still has The Juice™
unlabelledView post →Our whole studio has been impacted💔 The people at Fizbin are such welcoming, inspired and kind people. I'm very thankful to work the past 1.5yrs here, as it was also my first game industry job. Thankful that we can finish Reignbreaker before we go. Will post a looking for work post very soon 😢
unlabelledView post →The game cops the style, flow, and mechanics of Hades, but does it with fewer resources. So if you’ve played Hades and need something to scratch that itch for a little, well, unfortunately this game had the distinct displeasure of releasing the same year as Hades 2. Whoopsie. But, if you’ve played Hades and Hades 2 to death and still need something to scratch that itch, this game might still not be it for you. There’s a real schrodinger’s cat situation going on here, as the game needs you to…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't really like this which is such a shame because I really want to. The music is awesome and the visuals are really unique, but unfortunately that's pretty much all the good I have to say. I love Hades so when I saw a cheap Hades-alike I was pretty excited, but unfortunately pretty much everything else feel lackluster; the combat is too slow because it feels like Clef does so little damage, even once you've collected a few items. The visual clarity is pretty much non-existant; there are…

unlabelledView post →Basically a rogue-lite following the Hades formula for storytelling and progression the only real issue is there's no real compelling reason why you'd want to go through that grind for characters you don't give a damn about. Hades did all it could to make the characters matter to the player... here I mean the presentation values belie the relatively low price of the game but it's all for naught because the main character is just a tough strong woman trope and well... I can't be bothered to give…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yes, this review is rated positive, but if I could give it "positively mixed", I would. I do not think this at all deserves a negative rating. I will preface this review with that I am quite the Hades enjoyer. I do not have crazy hours, but I love both the games and have seen them grow from EA. This game is obviously inspired to a great degree by this and it makes me happy to see! Please make cool projects inspired by things you love! But scratch the comparison for now: Punk aesthetic, great…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TLDR: Good art style aside, this roguelite drowns in its own repetition. Recycled bosses, dull weapons, and only 3 combat moves make each run feel less like progression and more like groundhog day. PROS: ➕Good art/visual design - reminds me of Arcane NEUTRALS: 🔹Good combat…but also very simple with only 3 attacks and barely any significant changes to be found CONS: ➖Can’t see your current upgrades when choosing a new one ➖Boring weapons ➖Upgrades are too few in quantity ➖Very repetitive…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not great. It does feel like something larger was planned, then rushed to release whatever was ready as the studio was getting shut down. You keep repeating the same levels with same layout. Enemy variety is not great. Controls are not very responsive. Frame pacing is just off. For some reason the game can push 120+fps, but animation feels the same, if not worse than 60. Beautiful scenery getting washed out in blur. M&K controls shouldn't be hard, based on similar games, but here it's like…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Anyway that's Reignbreaker, a game that's been weighed, measured, and found wanting, but nevertheless is extremely enjoyable because when it comes down to it, the combat seriously has The Juice™ and I'd recommend with the aforementioned caveats.
unlabelledView post →Bought this game because the aesthetics seemed very cool and one-of-a-kind, with lots of polish and charm. I don't mind that it's a Hades clone mechanically because it seems to have it's own heart. Unfortunately, it somehow features no control rebinding in the year of our lord 2025, so I'll be immediately refunding it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I want to like this one, because the music is good and the artstyle is fun. But actually playing it? Well, the vibes are off. The action just doesn't pop, and I find myself taking damage far more than other games. All because the character feels a bit like a tank, and using ranged stops you in place. I feel like it just one or two balance patches to add a bit of variety to levels and builds.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is basically Hades, but in a post-apocalyptic Mad Max world. And it's pretty fun! I'm actually having a blast so far, though there are, admittedly, a few nit-picks. But first, the good stuff! The GOOD Stuff - Hades-esque combat is tight enough - The Javelin is a pretty unique cast-type thingy - The environment is flashy and awesome in that Blood Dragon kind of way - I like the protagonist antagonist - Voice acting is pretty good - The enemy variety is enough to not feel too stale The…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Devs tried to copy Hades but failed miserably. The thing hades does best is every run feels different. This game is always the same. I´ve played for 3 hours and only see like 5 different enemies. It´s the same area design (you can see it in the video on store page). In fact the game is quite easy if you play slowly, but they force you to rush maps to unlock javelin upgrades. I think devs gave up on finishing this game. Wasted potential.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Highly recommend this to any one looking for a game similar to Hades, although no where near as good as Hades. Mechanically Reignbreaker was very enjoyable, if not that new or complex. But it did kept me engaged throughout the main story, and then I did keep playing in the end game trying out different builds on each run. For game play you will be making runs through the bastion and raiding vaults to get powered up until you die, you then lose all your power ups and return to your…

unlabelledView post →Got this game in a bundle with Lost In Random: The Eternal Die since it was the same price as the latter alone. This game isn't bad, but it's not that good, either. The game ends runs at the first biome for the first complete run, then the second biome for the second complete run, etc. as part of its structure, which I found oddly annoying. The main character's lance weapon is interesting, but somehow chaining lance actions between each other and the basic punch attack doesn't feel great.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am actually surprised this game did so poorly. On the surface it competes immediately with Supergiants games to the point of almost feeling like a straight offspin. The combat itself is, in my opinion, much more interesting than Hades on top of feeling snappier as well. The visual style is extremely derivative of Supergiants' work as well, albeit infused with a lot of punk elements (as should be obvious from the screenshots). Awful use of color palettes aside (which I will get to) Reign…

unlabelledView post →Decent game but not enough SETTINGS The game is not friendly for people with disabilities or other issues (can't turn off motion blur and the graphics hurt :( )
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wanted to like this game, but it's clear it wasn't complete. It feels like I'm playing the first area of a much larger world. I enjoyed the core gameplay in terms of the move set and how customizable it can be. After you run through 2 or 3 times, it's clear that's all or close to all there is. It desperately needed new levels and enemy variety. I will throw some kudos to the art team. Again, more levels letting the cybergothic aesthetic stretch it's legs would have been fantastic.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I mean I don't know, but I just can not give this game a thumbs-up. First of all - you can not remap the controls. Why the actual ♥♥♥♥ this is not possible in 2025 is beyond me, I am just baffled. But ok, it takes like an hour to get used to them, so strike one. Strike two for me is the battle system - it really wants to be like the Hades one, yet the responsivness is a bad joke - when you execute your enemy - and this is a crucial mechanic in the game - and another enemy starts their…

unlabelledView post →Let's get it out of the way: this is a Hades clone. It's got rogue runs with metaprogression, striking and colorful art direction, zippy dodge-based combat, even a queer-coded main character and a boss that puts you down when you die. I played the demo and felt it was a little sparse on content, but it's just a demo - surely there's more in the full game, right? Well, technically yes, but only technically. There are some new weapon variants that don't really change how you approach battles,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I picked up Reignbreaker because it reminded me of Hades. I was hoping it had learned from Hades’ formula and could offer something fresh. Unfortunately, the game fell short in several key areas—gameplay depth, creativity, and voice acting. I played for about an hour and a half, reaching the first boss after four runs. During those runs, it quickly became clear that the floors repeat themselves with very little variation. After beating the first boss, new characters and power-ups were…

Aqui temos um reino medieval-punk, e tudo no jogo abraça essa estética: portraits, inimigos, armas, salas, músicas e, principalmente, nossa protagonista rebelde Clef! 🎮 A jogabilidade é bastante semelhante à de Hades e de outros roguelikes no geral. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Looks great, plays bad, sounds awful. Reignbreaker suffers from absolutely atrocious, overwrought cringe-ass voice acting. I guess this is just what video game people think is compelling character writing or lore or whatever, but to me it is so insufferable I actually muted the voiceovers entirely. I felt the controls really weren't explained very well and that I mostly figured it out on my own, but not really sure that I 'got everything'. The art style is phenomenal and the environments…

Pretty obvious inspirations, so if you like... similar games... you'll probably like this one. Music kicks ass, some fun and varied build options, nice art, no bugs that I saw. Took me about 8 hours to beat the final boss but there's still more stuff to find and unlock.
