I had to do a protontrick (see ProtonDB) to get it working, but the game runs flawlessly on both the Deck and Steam Machine.

I remember being a driving a massive frigate through the stars. Fighting pirates, delivering packages, and finding loot. #PNGTUBER #Vtuber

unlabelledView post →I've been following a remake called Wing Leader that shows what paying homage to WC's art style and technical limitations may look like. For a modern Privateer game I recommend Rebel Galaxy Outlaw that was developed with WC in mind. www.youtube.com/watch?v=HgYQ...

unlabelledView post →Taking the Freelancer or Rebel Galaxy model of gameplay and bolting on the Star Wars license, maybe with some VN/decision tree dialogue (like how FTL handles events) for making deals/dealing with situations would also be an ideal SW: Smuggler game. It doesn't need to be a complex formula either way.
unlabelledView post →Heya folks, here's a 1st short featuring Rebel Galaxy Outlaw by Double Damage Games. Truth be told, I've tried playing this game a few times now, but I always get bored of it at the 7-8h mark. This attempt was no different, sadly. #rebelgalaxyoutlaw #videogames #indiegames #spacesim #shorts
unlabelledView post →A Wing Commander retrospective. Rebel Galaxy Outlaw feels closer to Privateer but it as a modern space game it's the closest to feeling like part of the Wing Commander series.
unlabelledView post →I always get stuck in a game trying to do everything and not quite hitting the mark. Like I may be in the mood for Stellaris or Rebel Galaxy/ Wing Commander but rarely both. But maybe I'll give it a shot! Thank you
unlabelledView post →I'm still livid that Rebel Galaxy Outlaw will never be updated again because a bunch of assholes were toxic to Travis Baldree over the Epic Games exclusivity and he quit game dev.
unlabelledView post →Heya folks, here's a 2nd short featuring Rebel Galaxy Outlaw by Double Damage Games. So, for this game, I wound up deciding to showcase a different ship in each short to keep things interesting. #rebelgalaxyoutlaw #videogames #indiegames #spacesim #shorts
unlabelledView post →Rebel Galaxy Outlaw is all done, what a wonderful game! I enjoy the prequel quite a bit too! Started up Revenge of a Savage Planet, it's funny, quirky, and a great platformer! Thanks so much for being there! We sailed over to twitch.tv/theanalogman for some GTA2!
unlabelledView post →If you see this, quote this post with a game with a 10/10 soundtrack 🎶 Rebel Galaxy is a small indi game I got for a few bucks, but damn the Soundtrack is awesome and worth tripple of what I paid
unlabelledView post →In-game radio is so essential for these driving games and it delivers there! Rebel Galaxy Outlaw also did this well for space trucking
unlabelledView post →replaying REBEL GALAXY. I've played RG Outlaw so much I forgot what was good about this game, ie- much denser systems w/more to discover & do. the broadside combat's also a vibe. kind of like Sid Meier's Pirates in space. #GameSky 🎮
unlabelledView post →heh, I usually have a pile of casual games in my queue, but if I don't feel like playing them I usually go back to XCOM2, Rebel Galaxy Outlaw or some other bigger game. I've been having some fun revisiting Skyrim lately.
unlabelledView post →Rebel Galaxy is another fun space game with a banger soundtrack that understood: gearheads who blast the blues in their garages would be EVERYWHERE in space.
unlabelledView post →It’s not Privateer but I would recommend looking at Rebel Galaxy: Outlaw for scratching that particular itch. www.gog.com/en/game/rebe...
unlabelledView post →been playing Rebel Galaxy Outlaw a lot lately it’s a good “hard space” game, quite harsh difficulty curve but pretty to truck about in
unlabelledView post →I'm just putting it out there for those who haven't tried it: Rebel Galaxy is one of my favorite games. It's a naval style space trucking game that lets you drive MASSIVE ships. Like... huge. It's so good.
unlabelledView post →The first game, Rebel Galaxy, doesn't have a cockpit view, as it's more of a Blag Flag-style space naval big ship combat game. Outlaw is pure fighters, and the cockpits are astounding.
unlabelledView post →I have an RDR2 playthrough in progress but I think I've over-played that game, too. So I am having another go at Rebel Galaxy Outlaw, seeing as I last played it in 2021 and I recall it being rather fun!
unlabelledView post →I love this game so much. It has a different charm to the first Rebel Galaxy, and it's not easy, but it's a wonderful little world to explore.
unlabelledView post →Since Wolf With Inn is currently too buggy to play I'm switching to another game called Rebel Galaxy! www.twitch.tv/Boxxyfoxx Embrace the chaos!
unlabelledView post →Rebel Galaxy is a good example of a fun game that was ruined by its progression.
unlabelledView post →Yo, just want to say thanks to you and the others at Double Damage for the utter fun game that is Rebel Galaxy: Outlaw. The pool game alone is worth the price of admission :3
unlabelledView post →My love for the Wing Commander series is well know and most ppl who don't know that much do know I love Privateer. I recently go a game that is a TRUE love letter to Privateer's fans and devs. Rebel Galaxy Outlaw. I was afraid I'd lose access to it without Windows. I'm glad I looked into it..
unlabelledView post →Good Morning, Happy Monday, It's going to be a good week! Playing Rebel Galaxy today! The music in this game is excellent! www.twitch.tv/creativechao...
unlabelledView post →starting a fresh game of REBEL GALAXY OUTLAW. ironic: I never end up playing this game as an outlaw. attacking working class freighters & miners does not sit well w/me, so I always end up helping the police lol 😄 #gaming
unlabelledView post →ooo, where'd you get the mod? I loved this game. I've never seen anything else quite do what it did, and Rebel Galaxy 2 abandoned the original concept for more traditional cockpit fighting. This game had you flying huge battleships, it was amazing.
unlabelledView post →Check out the Rebel Galaxy game soundtrack if you want something a little different to scratch that itch.
unlabelledView post →8. Rebel Galaxy Outlaw, it's a spaceship game where you're trying to get revenge on your husband's killer! I haven't streamed it because of licensed music, and while it has a streamer mode I'm not sure I can play it without my two favorite stations to listen to while flying.
unlabelledView post →Currently Rebel Galaxy circa 2016. I love a good space game
unlabelledView post →My brain has been on overdrive trying to make the worlds of: Sonic Hollow Knight Rebel Galaxy (space game) Elite Dangerous (space game) Grand Theft Auto Poppy Playtime FNAF (mostly as a short cameo lol) Murder Drones Ori (the games) XCOM Among others I can't think of right now... DIAGETIC
unlabelledView post →Yeah there was a Prequel kinda, Rebel Galaxy Outlaw, but it was flying small fighters with a weird auto aim and very very controller focused design. In the end the Devs stubbornness about their vision of the game, and the communities viscous backlash, made the Devs fully abandon game development.
unlabelledView post →Live on #Twitch starting a playthrough of Rebel Galaxy Outlaw (a female-protag game, totally 10000% planned for International Women’s Day yep). Time for some Space Wild West! twitch.tv/cognitiveTri...
unlabelledView post →Other than that... Children of Morta, Soundfall, Rebel Galaxy (amazing space "sailing" game with a phenomenal soundtrack!), Pillars of Eternity... Hades! I know of about 100 good games to recommend, but I always blank out when it's down to the wire... -_-
unlabelledView post →Fanatical (a reputable Steam key seller) is selling both Rebel Galaxy games for one dollar. Absolutely a steal. www.fanatical.com/en/bundle/re...
unlabelledView post →same. Rebel Galaxy Outlaw tried. game engine was solid, but it could have used more fleshing out... npcs/mission types etc.
unlabelledView post →Rebel Galaxy Outlaw is my favorite game on the Steam Deck, I can't put it down
unlabelledView post →Rebel Galaxy is a nice little indie game I quite enjoyed but damn that soundtrack is incredible www.youtube.com/watch?v=IBAY...
unlabelledView post →Oh, so he apparently designed a game I liked (Rebel Galaxy), good enough reason to checkout the book!
unlabelledView post →Check out Rebel Galaxy Outlaw, it's kinda Freelancer inspired. The ending is kinda underwhelming but the game is fun.
unlabelledView post →Anybody have as much compulsive space pilot fun playing Rebel Galaxy Outlaw as I am? I love this kind of game. Its like if Everspace was actually an open sandbox. I'm a sucker for "you're a pilot? Here's a ship that sucks, go do space jobs and hopefully get better space jobs"
unlabelledView post →Am I the only one who's kinda tired of the pearl clutching nature of video game discourse? It's like "OMG Starfield!" X4, Everspace 2, No Man's Sky, Astrox Imperium, Stellar Tactics, Rebel Galaxy, Chorus, NeonXSZ, Starcom Nexus, Starpoint Gemini Warlords. There, 10 alternatives, have fun.
unlabelledView post →Doesn't the game Rebel Galaxy kinda fit this? I mean Its been YEARS since I played it but I damn well remember the music being very nice outlaw blues type stuff
unlabelledView post →grabbed a game called Between The Stars on a whim and while its jank as hell and could really use with some UX work I'm digging the weird line its riding between Starpoint Gemini and the original Rebel Galaxy. Story's nothing special but I'm enjoying the little rpg vignette encounters.
unlabelledView post →I've been playing a lot of Rebel Galaxy Outlaw recently. If you tune into the in game jazz radio station it becomes a Cowboy Bebop simulator.
unlabelledView post →I dunno if it's random what song you get in the opening menu of Rebel Galaxy Outlaw, but mine started with a great version of In The Pines and that set a MOOD. This game is cute so far. Scratching that Privateer itch.

unlabelledView post →Just finished Rebel Galaxy. Recommended. Some unexpected and interesting artistic choices lend Rebel Galaxy a great vibe, but gameplay is remarkably thin. Luckily, the number of main story missions is small, just wrapping up by the time the action begins to bore—at least when powering straight through. #games #gaming #review #rebelgalaxy
unlabelledView post →You know, I was having a blast playing Rebel Galaxy Outlaw. I should go back to that. Once I figured a couple things out in that game, I was raking in the cash and upgrades flowed like water. I think it was the storyline missions that soured it a touch, probably too many in a row.
unlabelledView post →So, with Rebel Galaxy Outlaw being unfinished (as I just found out), I'm jonesing for another Wing Commander: Privateer-like game. Any suggestions?
unlabelledView post →39) Rebel Galaxy: A space-sim, but you don't fly in the cockpit, instead all of the gameplay is from the view of a capital ship, and its more like playing a space-trucker game. If you like open-world-ish space sims, this might tickle you in a new way. store.steampowered.com/app/290300/R...
unlabelledView post →Replaying "Rebel Galaxy Outlaw", the space combat game that was *almost* good. But man, I'm craving single-player shootybangs where you upgrade your spaceship/player/whatever through a short-ish linear story. Gimmmeeeee
unlabelledView post →Ugh, Rebel Galaxy is a great game but it's starting to feel a drag (hi, I'm Alex and I have a beef with the dothat, getstuff, rinse and repeat kinda games). unlabelledView post →Ugh, Rebel Galaxy is a great game but it's starting to feel a drag (hi, I'm Alex and I have a beef with the dothat, getstuff, rinse and repeat kinda games). Even switching to a new system requires to get a bigger ship, better weapons, better shields, etc, making the user go from station to station and collect new doable missions, because the current step of the main mission is always deadlier than the previous step. I loved the game in the early phases (and by ye gods, the OST is something out of…
