I just finished REANIMAL and I have two thoughts: 1- I had fun. 2- My wallet is now making sad animal noises. Let’s talk numbers, because this game clearly did. It’s $40, and I beat it in 4 hours. That’s basically $10 per hour. For that price, I expected the game to at least tuck me into bed and tell me I’m doing great. To be fair, the 4 hours I got were genuinely enjoyable. The pacing is tight, the experience is smooth, and it hits that satisfying “one more section” loop. It’s the…

The game was fantastic. HOWEVER... it was 3 hours long. Any extra time I have is from pauses and just having the game open. I think $40 dollars for a 3 hour game that has been getting developed for this long is insane. Do not get the game unless you have money to burn, you're a massive fan of the little nightmares games, or it goes on sale.

Complicated feelings on this game. It was engaging and fun for 90% of the playthrough. We ran into one bug that was basically game breaking but we started a new save and it fixed it. But $40 for 4-5 hours of content isn't it in my opinion. On top of that, we have to pay another $25 for the season pass to get more content? Maybe they should have released all of that content with the $40 game.

When I saw the $40 USD price, I assumed this would be for 6-8 hours of content (maybe some via free DLC). But no, it's 3-4 hours, much like Limbo, Inside, LN, etc (but those all launched for $20 USD). Apparently there is DLC coming for Reanimal, but it will not be free. Usually money is no object for me if a game really looks good, but this is unacceptable. Wait for a sale at $20-25.

This Is What Little Nightmares 3 Should've been I cannot believe the difference in quality between this game and all the others. Everything here is leagues off the rest. The graphics are much more detailed, the atmosphere much darker and more immersive, the set pieces much more grand in scope and scale. Even the horror is much more effective here. They pulled no punches in disturbing visuals, and they didn't shy away from shining a light on very dark themes of suicide and war. The gameplay…

Here is the thing, 40 bucks for a 4h game is crazy in the big 2026. Don't get me wrong, the ambience of the game is very lovely but ain't no way anyone in their right mind would pay 40 bucks for this small of a game. Don't buy it, wait for a sale.

The gameplay is cool, the world is interesting and the characters are cute, however, I don't think this game is worth $40, I've finished the game in around 4 hours and for that content the price shouldn't go above $20-$25. The fact that season pass is being released for an additional $25, worth probably 3-4 hours of gameplay is pretty unrealistic as well. Oh and not to mention the fact that I've disconnected few times in the game and it was a bit buggy, nothing too bad but the player experience…

Unsettling in the Best Way If Little Nightmares 3 is the safe sequel, REANIMAL is the bold step forward. I went into the game expecting something in the same lane as Little Nightmares, but this feels heavier and far more unsettling. From the opening moments, the island feels wrong in a way that is hard to explain. The lighting is dim, the environments feel damp and hostile, and every sound in the distance makes you stop moving for a second. It is not constant jump scares. It is slow dread…

I don't write a lot of reviews. So when I do, it's because I feel very passionately about what I want to say. This game is beautiful. But this game is also kind of a rip off. 40 dollars for 5 maybe 6 hours of gameplay is highway robbery. And with the option to pay 20 more for what I suspect is maybe 1 hour of added gameplay, yeah seems like a bad sell. Way, way, way too short for the price. And the pricing system with the whole season pass thing just leaves a taste in your mouth of once-good…

The game could have been really nice if the devs actually cared and released fixes for bugs and most of people being unable to play the game in co-op. I understand fixing things takes time, but releasing an almost unplayable game for majority who wanted to play online with their friends, then disappearing for 3-4 days only to say "we"re reading the reports" and still no updates, then one more week later still absolutely nothing happened, only releasing a beta patch without friend pass fix and…

Monsters aren't what you should be afraid of After Tarsier and Bandai Namco went their separate ways, many were worried - completely understandably- about the IP's future. Considering how the third entry of the beloved Little Nightmares franchise couldn't live up to expectations, many fans - myself included - were hyped about the fact that the team behind the both critically acclaimed and by fans well-regarded first two entries are working on an entirely new game, something akin of a…

Great game and stunning visuals. HOWEVER we completed the playthrough in less than 4 hours. The game is 40€. That's an extremely high cost/playtime. If the game was 20€ that'd be just fine, but for 40€ it's just way too expensive.

This game feels like a nightmare that doesn’t fully make sense, but you still don’t want to wake up. Everything feels slightly wrong. Not broken, just… off. No jumpscares. No chaos. Just quiet, constant discomfort. Loved it. Ps: Its a very short game, so be warned if you wanna spend 40 for like 4-5 hous of story. But i enjoyed it and can recommend this game.

The game was fun and beautiful, but its so OBVIOUS this is not a 40 dollar game. if all 3 upcoming dlcs were free, then yes, 40 $ would be worth it. My friend and myself finished the game in 4 hours and we did not rush. 4 hours for 40 $ ??? That's madness. They should say sorry and give all 3 upcoming DLCs for free. That's the only way they redeem themselfs, but they wont.

While the game is beautiful in a horrific way it is very short for the price tag. I was a bit sad when the game came to an end in what I thought was an abrupt way. Just to me 6.5 hours seemed short for a $40 game. I know a few DLC will be coming out, and that adds content but again you are paying for that content. The game was good, I would suggest it to someone to play, but I would tell them it could wait till the game went on sale.

At time of writing this there is currently no friends pass available for PC gamers. So if you're on PC and you're wanting to play with a friend who is also on PC - but without them needing to buy the game - your only option is to try using the Steam Remote Play together feature. I've tested and the feature seems to work OK, so long as your internet connection is fast enough to stream the game. Just note that the host will require a controller for themself to play, and then they can allocate the…

It has been pointed out in countless reviews, but on principle, I can't recommend Reanimal. It pains me to say that because I love games like this and was genuinely excited for it. You also get a companion in the game, who helps you with navigation and puzzle solving! This game can be played in co-op as well, it's interesting so far!

Loved the art style of the game, some good scary and thrilling moments. However the price is just ridiculous for the amount of gameplay you get. Could be completed in 4 hours easily. I also think the story is just a bit TOO abstract, apart from saving your friends I really didn't find the rest of the story very satisfying making the gameplay slightly meaningless. Great visuals and horrifying monsters to play against with a friend but honestly not worth the money it costs. Less than 5 hours of gameplay and it feels more like random horror chapters or an artsy project than a video game. Even if you try to question it and find some deeper message it still feels superficial and has no real logical ending. At least only one person needs to buy it but still. Too expensive. Also the gameplay mechanics and camera angles are very annoying sometimes.

🐑 A Dark, Unsettling Co-op Experience REANIMAL pulls you in immediately with its atmosphere. The world feels grim, and uncomfortable in a way that feels intentional, like something always feels slightly “off”. It doesn’t rely on jump scares - most of the tension comes from the environments, the sound design and the constant feeling of being unsafe. Visually, it’s a really strong game. This is a non-recommendation with a lot of caveats. Reanimal has some of the most striking imagery and disturbing implications of any horror game I've played in some time. The lighting, framing, and design of every space is utterly immaculate and the style of the game elevates the horror and macabre beauty in a significant way. Torn on this one a bit. It's an obvious recommendation for the sheer craft on display. The graphics, sound and atmosphere are just top notch and the world is so solid and believably awful that you just have to push on to see the end. The visuals are absolutely amazing, but the gameplay and controls are "meh" at best. On top of that, 5 hours max of game time for $40 is disappointing. Then they expect you to get the Season Pass for a couple more chapters of play, which I assume is 1-2 hours more of game time. The secret ending is almost identical to the normal ending and the replay factor is non-existent. Should be a $20-$25 game at the most.
