negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game crashes on windows 11/Meta Quest 3. Don't buy.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Raw Data is a very stylish hero defense game with some good VR mechanics. Unfortunately, bugs ruin the experience and it seems the developers no-longer support the game with patches. The game itself is fun and the each of the 10 levels throw a new challenge your way. You will also be unlocking a few cool abilities for your characters, which will keep you wanting to play to try them out as you get them. But being such an old VR game, the actual controller bindings are not suited for Valve's…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I do not recommend this game. The screenshots and the description are misleading. It's just a "defeat x enemy waves" shooter with zero variety in gameplay structure
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very early VR game, If you have the Index controllers this game is very difficult to play, i might even call it unplayable
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For Meta Quest owners, Steam Link does not work. The game crashes. BUT you can get around this by using the Meta app and it does work wirelessly through that. But I absolutely hate using the Meta app and prefer the Steam Link, so this is not a true solution. But wanted to mention this for any others out there. I'm playing on a Meta Quest 3 and got it to work. The gameplay is honestly pretty boring. I have done the first two missions and it just felt like...that's it? But this is a game from…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Emailed devs, they have no plans to develop this game nor support any other systems. So for all of you expecting to find a solution to "no rotate button", there will never be a solution. Get a refund.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Doesn't work for me using the Quest 3 via the Steam Link app. Game crashes. I5 12400F + AMD RX6700XT
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you have an HTC Vive or Valve Index, just skip it. Even if it is a dollar. They did not implement snap turning controls on our platform, and they refuse to make even a minor update to add it. This is a long-standing issue that CANNOT be solved, since no mechanism exists to map the controls. This game is old enough to pre-date Steam Input, and they have never bothered to add it as a patch since. So if you're not one of the Oculus crowd, this game is basically hamstrung from the start.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very disappointed with this one. The game would immediately crash at startup. Happened on my friend's computer too. We both of Quest 3S headsets and apparently this affecting everyone with various models of Quest. Not able to play this game whatsoever.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game was definitely good for its time, I fondly remember playing it initially on the PSVR, but it just doesn't hold up a decade later. The most immediate indicator of this was VIVE wands showing up in place of my index controllers. This game was at no point updated for a better class of VR, and this is supported by limited options in regards to movement and (the lack of) turning. The gameplay itself is fine, exactly how I remember. As an experience, however, it pales in comparison to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Crashed Before even starting the game, tried multiple times, kept crashing
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Was probably fun before other VR games existed.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you're using the Quest Link do not even bother buying the game. It crashes everytime on startup.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game is completely broken and unplayable in 2023. Headset - Valve Index GPU - 3070 CPU - i9-9900k This game has constant stuttering no matter what settings you change, it makes the game unplayable and there have been no updates or announcements made to fix this issue, so i now have a AAA VR game sitting in my steam library i cannot play anymore. If you plan on buying this game, don't, it is abandoned and there haven't been any updates since 2018.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So it's all fine. But can I get a snap/smooth turn in 2022 cmon!!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Forces you to face one direction, there is a popup telling you to "face the camera". No way to disable it and tell the game you dont have that type of vr restriction. That really just ruins the game. Everything about this game is just so OLD tech, so outdated. Constant popups telling you what to do, so annoying and nothing like the descriptions. Terrible.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was excited to try this game but unfortunately, it is a buggy mess. 5/10.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →♥♥♥♥ this game, its so insanely buggy if you wanna play in coop, its almost unplayable. This game constantly breaks your weapons when you die, sometimes you'll get stuck in a T-pose unable to move or help, other times you'll get a robot stuck inside your torso that will launch you around the map or maybe the game just wont progress at all, there's something seriously wrong with the final phase of level 10. This level goes on for like 25 minutes and then just breaks on the final part for no…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unfortunately it's too dated, playing on a PICO 4 with VD there was a problem and the resolution was too high causing unplayable stutter on my rtx 3080. No way to change resolution in game and changing steam SS didn't help. Unfortunately unplayable with modern hardware in 2023 without caveats
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A pretty mediocre horde style game where you shoot down waves of robots. The gameplay is very basic and there's not much satisfaction in killing robots. The story isn't delivered well (the game is made for co-op multiplayer) but at least it does add a bit of style to the world.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just tried this game for almost an hour on a Valve Index headset. I apparently got it in a VR bundle or something so I got it for free and I'm still disappointed because even though the gameplay looks like it'd be a ton of fun, there's one feature lacking for any non-Oculus headset that renders the game unplayable for me. Apparently the game has snap turning on Oculus but not on any other brand of headset, and with how much you're expected to move around, I was having difficulty doing even the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Outdated, at full price is not worth it at all. Valve Index controllers are not supported, they're detected as Vive Wands. You should be able to rotate your character with your controller, "standing" play area is misleading. Rotating your character and Valve Index controllers support is all they need for this 2017 year VR game to be worth it, however not at this price, a price range between 15€ and 20€ seems more appropriate to me.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As others have said,. this game now crashes before getting into gameplay. Win 11
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →the default movement is teleport. if you change it from teleport to walk with joystick, you still teleport sometimes for some reason. Aside from just ignoring the control settings, its a really basic wave shooter with small repetitive arenas,
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Old controls, outdated gameplay, crash frenzy, fall out of the map more than a few times in the first hour of playing. This sucks.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a pretty fun game (esp. with co-op) but it comes with some serious caveats (hence the negative): #1 there are numerous bugs which the developer refuses to fix, the most infamous being losing guns after you die and being unable to get them back #2 some of the VR movement options are incomplete meaning, you won't be able to configure your right thumbstick for vertical movement. Kind of a strange choice considering it is a VR-exclusive game... #3 replayability is low; once you beat it you're…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good game if you like clearing waves with friends, it's fun however amount of glitches and bugs is insane. For example weapons tend to disappear midfight and there's nothing you can do about it. On highest difficulty levels this is ridiculous when you are defenseless for no reason (usually till end of map). Making 100% achievements in this game was PAIN. AI is bad but it's not that much of a problem, I mean all they have to do is destroy the core and hit your ass while doing that. The…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good relative to what was available when it released I'm sure, but outdated and mediocre today.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's very outdated.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Raw Data is a virtual reality action shooter that helped establish what full-scale VR combat experiences could look like during the early years of consumer VR gaming. Rather than feeling like a short experimental demo or limited tech showcase, the game delivers a complete sci-fi shooter experience built entirely around physical interaction, fast reflexes, and immersive combat mechanics. Combining futuristic environments, wave-based survival encounters, cooperative multiplayer, and multiple…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am a 45 yo father, probably one of the oldest people playing this game. I am a single father to my Son, who is 14 now. My son got this game from his uncle, so we installed it on his computer and he started playing. By the end of the week he had 24 hours on this game. This was horrible for me, as it was already hard for me to find ways to spend time with my son, as he is always out with his friends or just watching YouTube. So I decided to make a Steam account and get this game to see if I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just a straight up wave/ base defender game the transition between 4 unique characters is certainly what keeps this game fresh for me. The story line while not great is better than I was anticipating. I was too late to ever experience online play so I have nothing to say other than it is dead. I wish I had VR friends because this could be entertaining to play Co-op. 7/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do NOT buy! I loved this game when it was new. I loved this game about a year ago when I last played it. The only thing that changed between now and a year ago is I am in a new house in a new state and the game will not fully launch. It maxes out my 4070 and will hang on the EULA screen flickering in and out while spooky noises play in my Vive headset. My guess is that a windows or video card update has broken the game. I was going to look into the "fix for 11th gen processors" but that link no…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Does not work well with modern controllers and is missing basic features (snap turn). Cant possible recommend for 37€. On sale for 5€ you could start thinking about it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Raw Data was one of those early VR games that I completely glossed over because it looked like just another VR wave shooter, but in reality just another active tower defense game. The main problems here are how short and lacking in content it is: for $40 you're getting 10 levels that are very hand-holdy and linear, with dialogue and scene transitions that can't be skipped on repeat playthroughs. There's also only four weapons: pistols, shotgun, bow, and a sword, which are tied to four…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →meh, brought it for £5 and that's about what it's worth, some strange screen tearing here and there as well along with weird key bindings like when you're holding right stick in to activate abilities ect if you have snap turning on it'll still turn you and is really disorientating and annoying, i most likely won't be finishing this tbh. also it's actually a tower defence, i feel like it would've benefited from being a straight survival like COD zombies or something but hey, you might like…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a wave shooter where some computers talk at you the whole time.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You can't turn around with the thumb sticks on Index controllers like you can on steam labs or half life alyx, with my VR configuration this meant I could not play the game. Some third party solutions appear to be available but as they involved patching the exe I didn't want to visit this route. It might be unfair to rate the game solely on this, but I literally cannot play it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Everything here has been done much better elsewhere at this point. Its not a bad game, but it doesn't feel like a modern VR game. Also the NPCs never shut up. You have an annoying robot complaining like 80% of the time, and when he's not some other voice is droning on about details that you probably couldn't care less about. Its all tell and very little show.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It crashes on start with UE4 Error - solution is not to use steamlink on Oculus 2, launch it from Air Link. In tutorial it was the mist awkward teleport inputs (you need to click the trigger to teleport), I was thinking that teleport don't work. And why you can't choose to walk from the start and not after tutorial? 1 hour of trying to start it so far, I hope that I'll can play now. It's a fun shooter game if you managed to get it work. Few arenas was bad.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Boring trash, dont buy. Was never a good game, even back in oculus rift days. Don't even buy it on sale.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →crashes when i try to use steam link
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Worked great on Vive, but as of 1/29/25 it'll crash on start-up with the Quest 2. Unfortunate because this was a very fun game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Leading Global VR Gaming Studio, Award Winning Immersive VR Games. Every their game is abandoned and barely functional, don't ever buy anything from them, even for free it's not worth it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Works perfectly for me using Quest 3 and cable link.Problem is this is premium VR from 5-7 years ago. Let it die. Steam link is just streaming cable link. There's your problem. Streaming. You can't. Neither can anyone else, really. Recommended. Still premium.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Did not enjoy, its a super basic game where you just stand still in a room wave after wave Not fun at all
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Controls are very very poor for Valve index, if not. Not even thought about. Can't turn or properly move. Thats all i've got to say.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Was ahead of its time for VR
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While the boffins at Meta inc and ByteDance push the cutting edge of 3d gaming into the next gen by creating a whole new world of 3D gaming the brilliant geniuses at Survios studios have reinvented the meta in the world of VR game development by implementing their new innovation, 2d flat screens in 3d environments. Its a small detail but every loading screen and even the at the start of the game when you see the company logo just stinks of missed opportunity. The intro to the game (when you're…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →almost feel scammed, levels are all the same but slightly retextured, janky controls, poor menu's and unstable connections and the campaign lacks depth and motive. I would highly recommend against buying.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very basic wave shooter from the early days of VR. Tech has moved on.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The tutorial is too boring to complete, perhaps let people skip it?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →unless you have a big playspace to turn around 360 without a thought then this game is 100% unplayable, never was able to finish the tutorial because there was no way to face and pick up any gun tried looking through all the settings and there is no way to change it. good thing i got it for a deal because it was a complete waste of my money but since i bought it from another site i cant refund it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great gameplay but I was disappointed to find there was noone playing it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Probably one of the best story-driven VR combat games I've played. I had almost as much fun with this as I did with Half Life Alyx, although their standard gameplay loop does differ significantly. Absolutely worth the 40 bucks, a must-have at any sale price. You won't regret this one bois
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game just a tad lack luster
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →At first, this game really irritated me with so many things popping up all the time, arrows pointing you in what direction it wanted you to face, tips on what do do when you were already doing them "reload here" after like 20 minutes of playing. Eventually I worked out how to turn off tips but the arrows are still there. Then you turn from teleport to joystick control but both work and you accidentally teleport yourself all over the place while playing, sometimes off the edge of things and die.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →wave shooters are bad and i wish people would stop making them
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The graphics looks decent and the game is somewhat fun, but there is no story and the action gets redundant after a while. The voice acting is lame. It's basically a wave shooter and doesn't stand up to the "would this be fun without VR" test. That said, its not devoid of fun. Something to get for sale.
