unlabelledView post →huh. watching a video on Samurai Cop and apparently the Even Meaner Looking Vinnie Jones guy who played the big henchman in the second Rambo movie was Stallone's bodyguard and...a former Ukrainian mobster. oh dear.
unlabelledView post →watching Rambo III and thinking about this for no particular reason
unlabelledView post →It’s so funny to make a Rambo movie where you go “no he was always like that”
unlabelledView post →If they made that first Rambo movie nowadays Rambo would turn to the violent Oregon sheriff and be like “you know we aren’t so different, I’m a hero and you’re a hero too” and then he’d sue to put the 10 Commandments in a courthouse
unlabelledView post →It sucks that the first Rambo movie is actually a pretty deep exploration of a soldiers trauma and the cruelty of American police, and then all of the sequels are disgusting military propaganda. I guess that’s what happens when the 1st film is based on a book and the rest just riff off of that.
unlabelledView post →They're making a Rambo origins movie... but with a twist. Every moviegoer gets a toggle switch and if you flip it, the movie is suddenly about transgressive French poet Arthur Rimbeau.
unlabelledView post →the SCUM System indicates that scientifically there could be a worse film than Rambo 4, but no such film has yet been observed
unlabelledView post →Thinking about how Rocky was a massive critical success that won a bunch of prestigious awards, and the first Rambo was also a fairly serious, emotional, acclaimed movie and wondering when exactly people stopped taking Stallone seriously was. Was it 1985 with the 1-2-punch of Rocky 4 and Rambo 2?

unlabelledView post →No film sequels have missed the entire point of their original as much as Rambo.
unlabelledView post →It’s the time of year where everyone debates Die Hard being a Christmas movie (it is) but so is Batman Returns, Eyes Wide Shut, Lethal Weapon, Gremlins, and Rambo First Blood. If I see a tree, lights, presents, or even a single chubby bearded guy eating a cookie, it counts.
unlabelledView post →They just love the appearance of the jobs they can't actually do. He thinks he's in a fucking Rambo movie.
unlabelledView post →Absurd that the guy in Predator is named John Matrix. You can't just name your hero after an action movie. It would be like naming a character John Rambo
unlabelledView post →I see the usual arguments about Rambo 3 being a Christmas movie have broken out - I’m still not sure on that “Rambo is Santa and the mujahideen are elves” thing but people do get very angry if you disagree
unlabelledView post →we were watching Rambo III because we recently watched the earlier ones and man my pop cultural perception of what Rambo is did not at all align with what the first Rambo movie (1982) actually is, which is John Rambo Home Alones A Bunch Of Cops In The Woods
unlabelledView post →Jalmari Helander’s RARE EXPORTS is a goddamned holiday delight. Great spin on old Santa traditions and got a slick style (no wonder he’s doing a RAMBO movie next) Also: so much dong. Great choice! @themutantfam.bsky.social @shudder.bsky.social #TheLastDriveIn
unlabelledView post →Hollywood sucks because they made a fifth Rambo movie in 2019 and didn't get Lou Bega to do the theme song
unlabelledView post →The transition from the politics of First Blood (the first "rambo" movie, sort of) to Rambo itself is a decent commentary on the rewriting of that history
unlabelledView post →Doctor, my eyes have seen the goo And I've even seen Rambo 2 I've been waiting To awaken From this film I have done all that I could But this movie isn't good I get the feeling That the last Rambo Is bad

unlabelledView post →This week, @illybocean.boontavista.com joins us to talk about FIRST BLOOD, the Sylvester Stallone film that kicked off the RAMBO franchise. See you, as always, on Wednesday.
unlabelledView post →This quote is from the insane Rambo movie where he goes into Burma, after apparently contacting the UN and asking if there was a conflict they wanted him to highlight. This is less insane than the later movie where he crosses Mexican border to rescue a girl that gets kidnapped by drug traffickers.

unlabelledView post →I saw there's a movie coming out called John Rambo that's described as a prequel to First Blood and it's like finally, we will get to know how John Rambo was traumatized by his participation in the Vietnam war, a story that is both self evident and also directly shown in the film First Blood
unlabelledView post →Have these people never seen any Rambo movie? Even washed John Rambo was giving death speeches to draft dodgers in the 2000s
unlabelledView post →Isn’t overreacting to vagrants how you get the movie Rambo
unlabelledView post →Argentinian publisher Editorial Perfil produced this original, licensed Rambo series (based on the toyline, which was based on the cartoon, which was based on the movie). Never published in English, which is a shame for Rambo fans who wanted more science fiction in the property.

unlabelledView post →“It’s going to be a little more adventurous, and I hope to inspire a new generation of 10-year-olds to go into the forest to play Rambo.” That a director could say those words with no awareness of how fucked up they are is pretty terrifying. www.dexerto.com/tv-movies/ra...
unlabelledView post →It is weird because the first RAMBO film is like ‘fuck cops, fuck racism, fuck nationalism, fuck patriotism, fuck the establishment’ and then the successors are like ‘whoops we meant suck the dick of, not fuck’
unlabelledView post →😁😁😁 The Russian invader thought he was Rambo, or the hero of some cheap action film. But for us, he is just a fool -1 orc🔥
unlabelledView post →It's no one film. I need to see someone's film ecosystem. Fight Club looks different next to a bunch of stuff from the same year, as it does in a row of Brad Pitt movies, as it does again sitting between Taken and Rambo.
unlabelledView post →Now I’m imagining a Vaccine denier Rambo ripoff movie. “Do we get to use horse paste this time?”
unlabelledView post →The Rambo origin story is just a Vietnam war-is-hell movie. It's Boomer shit. There's a reason we don't keep remaking Platoon in 2025.
unlabelledView post →OMG does this idiot say any of this out loud??? What does he think he is in a Rambo movie? Yuck. Idiot.

unlabelledView post →Confession time: up until last night, I had never seen the original Rambo movie. It’s a good movie. You should check it out.
unlabelledView post →Watching the first Rambo movie and we’re like five minutes in and he’s already taken out an entire police station. This movie rules.
unlabelledView post →Rambo IV (2008) is such a baffling movie. Like an arthouse film masquerading as an action film. It keeps dancing toward making some kind of point about conflict and humanity, then Sylvester Stallone guns down a military junta for 20 minutes straight. Like a theater kid joining the football team.
unlabelledView post →Rambo First Blood is a Christmas movie 🎬 🎄
unlabelledView post →In the first movie John Rambo debatably causes the death of one sheriffs deputy who was firing a gun at him. In the second film he kills 74 people, the third 115, and the fourth 245.
unlabelledView post →Just watched Rambo. Good movie
unlabelledView post →I don’t know if it’s the worst but the Rambo series is a contender. First Blood is a really good movie.
unlabelledView post →FIRST BLOOD might as well be a horror film. It's slipped through the cracks as a relevant post-Vietnam picture, because the sequels are brain-washed rah-rah action films. Kotcheff was Canadian and had distance from that type of American patriotic thought. His Rambo isn't the cultural idea of Rambo
unlabelledView post →Rambo and Rimbaud are both ランボー which is a homonym for 乱暴 and now I want to see a movie about Rambo and Rimbaud on a rampage. Wランボー乱暴!?
unlabelledView post →Rambo is a Valentine’s Day movie because he shoots people through the heart with a bow and arrow.

unlabelledView post →The second Rambo movie, which was Rambo. The first one was First Blood, the third one was Rambo 3.
unlabelledView post →If you haven't seen First Blood and just know about "Rambo" as a caricature, I would definitely encourage you to watch it. Tremendous film.
unlabelledView post →YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS :D One of my faves that I saw was about the disappointment that came with how the fifth and final Rambo movie didn't open with Lou Bega saying: "Ladies and gentlemen... this is Rambo No. 5."
unlabelledView post →Books to film 📚=🎞️ First Blood (1972) by David Morrell was adapted to film in 1982. The film softens the Rambo character as he is more violent in the novel. The ideological subtext of the book is given an 80s update as the film depicts Rambo as a victim of social indifference. 🏹💥💪 #filmsky #booksky

unlabelledView post →He’s such a total asshole. And he doesn’t understand the military at all. 80% of it is basically logistics and communications. DoD is a gigantic bureaucracy not a Rambo movie
unlabelledView post →Dang it, just realized half of the world may not know who Rambo is. (I forget, this morning, a work colleague replied to a May 4th text string with "I haven't watched Star Wars yet, I heard it is good?") IMDB: First Blood (note: IMDB owned by Amazon) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0083944 #rambo
