unlabelledView post →we were watching Rambo III because we recently watched the earlier ones and man my pop cultural perception of what Rambo is did not at all align with what the first Rambo movie (1982) actually is, which is John Rambo Home Alones A Bunch Of Cops In The Woods
unlabelledView post →Movie: Rambo III Language: Russian Country: Russia Version: MP Mega
unlabelledView post →incredibly funny to me that the "this movie is dedicated to the brave mujahideen fighters of afghanistan" bit is an instance of the mandela effect. Rambo III says nothing of the kind, the original end card dedicates it to the gallant people of afghanistan
unlabelledView post →The inconsistency in the Rambo movie series naming style is honestly a joy to behold. • First Blood • Rambo: First Blood Part II • Rambo III • Rambo • Rambo: Last Blood • John Rambo

It took $261m at the box office so was a big hit and received a Special Achievement Award for Visual Effects Academy Award. 46/47

unlabelledView post →“So what’s this Rambo III sequel called?” “Rambo” “Okay and what will the final film be?” “Rambo: Last Blood” “Okay. Any thoughts about someday maybe a prequel set before First Blood, with a new actor?” “Funny you should ask. We do have something in the works, called John Rambo”

unlabelledView post →// Randomly watching Rambo III for the first time and it blows my mind how poorly this movie aged with its heroic portrayal of the Mujahideen and it's talk of beating foreign invaders (US invaded in 2001). This movie is fine on its own merits, but inadvertently satirical about US foreign policy.
unlabelledView post →I don't know if anyone, even 80s/90s guys from the military, could explain the plot of any Rambo movie with the possible exception of Rambo III. If you ask millennials who say they saw it half the time it turns out what they really remember was playing Operation Wolf or Weird Al parodying it in UHF.

unlabelledView post →this is literally from the ending of Rambo III. I know you're salty, because Russia lost there, but it's a joke about something from a movie.
unlabelledView post →Watching the classic St. Paddy’s day movie Rambo III
unlabelledView post →Siskel and Ebert review Rambo III, and Roger tries to decide whether if a movie does what it sets out to do and nothing else if that’s worth a thumbs up or a thumbs down. (Gene then provides the answer.) youtu.be/8xJdNjFGUVs?...
unlabelledView post →A Rambo III poster? You know what they say about never mention a better(?) movie in the middle of your crappy one... #Riffotronic
unlabelledView post →And we kicked it all off with this classic moment from RAMBO III (1988). This scene is reprised in the montage that ends Rambo: Last Blood making that an exploding helicopter film too.
unlabelledView post →Yep, The jump from a 1940s Hollywood propaganda film to Rambo III is a lot shorter when you remember stuff like any of the John Wayne movies, the Guns of Navarrone/Force 10 from Navarrone, and Kelly’s Hero’s all precede it, with each one taking a slight step down the path to hyper violent absurdity.
unlabelledView post →I do my best to warn you all of the monotony of “Rocky v. Drago: The Ultimate Director’s Cut” to @ccinemapodcast.bsky.social & @readbtweenreels.bsky.social. Otherwise, it’s the fun propaganda that got us to Stallone calling his shot with the “Rambo III” freedom fighters. #filmsky #moviesky

unlabelledView post →Squeezing in a #RandomGameSaturday while I can, here’s Rambo III for the Sega Master System, a light gun game based on the 1988 film of the same name, which is entirely different from the many other games based on the same movie that released for Genesis, Arcade, and many home PC platforms (cont.)
unlabelledView post →My money's on "no, we won't be getting a searing psychological drama, he'll be a Rambo III unstoppable killing machine from the get go killing over 1500 people during the movie"
unlabelledView post →RAMBO II was the first movie to open on over 2,000 screens. COBRA and RAMBO III were the 2nd and 4th. Joining Stallone in this early crew: BEVERLY HILLS COP II and CROCODILE DUNDEE II (on the same day as Rambo 3).

unlabelledView post →Once again I need to write this down because the titles in this film franchise give me the jitters... 1. First Blood 2. Rambo: First Blood pt II 3. Rambo III 4. Rambo 5. Rambo: Last Blood 6. John Rambo

unlabelledView post →Hey now, the Rambo III soundtrack/score is pretty good. Funny that the movie hadn't even been made yet, though! #FrightClub #TCM2
unlabelledView post →Holy fuck. I might have to put Rambo III as [REQUIRED] too just on the fact that's it's 'US Action Movie But Muslims are the good guys' Like that is unreal to think of now.
unlabelledView post →Some great write-ups in this post! Plus a write-up by yours truly on Rambo III where I use a meandering metaphor to compare the film to bumping into an old friend.
unlabelledView post →Time for breakfast and a movie before work! Today's randomly selected movie is... The next movie in my Rambo watch. Which is... Rambo III, 1988
unlabelledView post →It's good, but it's no RAMBO III... "This film is dedicated to the brave Mujahideen fighters of Afghanistan."
unlabelledView post →Over The Top was a bomb, managing only $16 million against a $25 million budget - with $12 million to Stallone, in a moment when he was riding high (between Cobra and Rambo III). If it is known for much, it is the soundtrack, which was designed a concept album ahead of the film. #HATM #OverTheTop
unlabelledView post →I still think First Blood it the best movie in the series. As a kid Rambo III was my favorite since it has all the action but the first movie really hits differently once you grow up. Also enjoyed the 4th movie for the dumb gore fest. The fifth movie, well, let's not talk about that one.
unlabelledView post →I don't think the producers (or even Stallone) really understood the appeal of Rambo was that he was a warrior fighting the very people/system that created him to be used and discarded for their wars. #NowWatching #TubiThursday #RamboIII #Rambo3

unlabelledView post →Yes, somehow. Case in point: during the events of First Blood, Rambo doesn't kill anyone. Rambo III, at debut, featured the largest onscreen body count of any film, ever.
unlabelledView post →The Rambo III "This Film is Dedicated to the Brave Mujahideen Fighters of Afghanistan" urban legend had to originate with a Something Awful photoshop, right? I never really thought about whether it started as a joke or a prank to actually trick people.
unlabelledView post →But they do consider it the third best Exploding Helicopter film after Rambo III and Blue Thunder (only 2 exploding ones, but several mores get shot down). We need Michael Bay to do one.
unlabelledView post →It's like this administration never seen Red Dawn or Rambo III or any anti-russian movie from the late 80s to mid 90s.
unlabelledView post →People normally save their scorn for the sequels (dedicating Rambo III to the “brave fighters of the Mujaheddin” is too funny), but it’s the end of the first movie that offers salvation to both Rambo and America by reintegrating him with society.
unlabelledView post →I like that the premise of this movie is that at the end of Rambo 2 John walked off the covert CIA base in Thailand and hiked all the way to a Buddhist monastery in Bangkok to chill for a few years. #NowWatching #TubiThursday #RamboIII #Rambo3
unlabelledView post →Films 2026 86. Rambo III (1988) Rambo rescues POW again But this time 1st rescue attempt results in no rescue 2nd attempt starts with a helicopter (like II) but that then crashes. Fun sequel. Rambo is given more quips, some funny, some pained. Enjoyable film with Stallone at his peak 8/10 #filmsky
unlabelledView post →After watching it, Rambo III is no longer my least favorite in the series. It felt like a standard revenge movie to me.
unlabelledView post →I never saw the sequels until this week, so I only knew for the UHF gag. Like wow, Rambo III was a very silly movie. lol, re: Weird.
unlabelledView post →I swear to G*d, Avatar 3 is going to have a "This film is dedicated to the brave freedom fighters of Pandora" title card at the end, a la Rambo III. Also: does this film actually end? I Been watching it for- I believe- about six hours now, and am beginning to become concerned that I died during.
unlabelledView post →Thematically First Blood was a 1970's anti-war, anti-authority, revenge film. The bad guys were the government. Rambo and Rambo III flipped all that. Not arguing Friday the 13th isn't the biggest course change, just that Rambo is up there.

unlabelledView post →It's fine. I can get it later if I see it cheap...if I think it's worth it. I really like FIRST BLOOD, which is much more of a FILM than a movie, but I enjoyed the maximalist cinema of the two sequels, though I think that I liked RAMBO III more, because it felt like a prototype for METAL GEAR SOLID
