Cliffhanger
A year after losing his friend in a tragic 4,000-foot fall, former ranger Gabe Walker and his partner, Hal, are called to return to the same peak to rescue a group of stranded climbers, only to learn the climbers are actually thieving hijackers who are looking for boxes full of money. From TMDB

unlabelledView post →The first time I ever saw the internet was at a friend’s house in 1993. Her teenage brother had the internet in his room and he said “look at this, this film isn’t even out yet” and we watched as an image VERY slowly loaded. That image was…. …the poster for Cliffhanger.

I previously worked in film and industrial design. I'll be sharing old and new art from me here. Starting with some old stuff!

unlabelledView post →one time, me and my friend were incredibly high and spent a half-hour making an ONLY bananas bag at one of those candy-by-the-pound places in a movie theater. a huge bag for each of us, nothing but banana runts. then we watched Cliffhanger. incredible night.

unlabelledView post →For that matter, when Lynch got the money and opportunity to film a companion/sequel to a television show that ENDED ON A CLIFFHANGER he not only delivered a PREQUEL but a harrowing horror film about incest.

unlabelledView post →Tonight's movie is Cliffhanger. Renny Harlin had a signature look for shooting snowy night scenes that were bright enough to see the action but still feel like night.

unlabelledView post →"Cliffhanger" was originally for silent film serials. Merriam-Webster doesn't address the "why;" had cliff stunts become such a common trope? Nor do they address that how "cliffhanger ending" was eventually shortened into "cliffhanger" itself. www.merriam-webster.com/wordplay/whe...

So if you played that game in the arcade back in the 80s, you were playing a Miyazaki film!! Just amazing stuff.
