60 of 189 · most liked firstQuest Hunter is a free mobile app that's been dumped on Steam as a paid product, as if it was a real PC game (it's not)... it's a cash grab from greedy mobile devs. This mobile app is a ripoff of games like Diablo/Torchlight, but incredibly dumbed down to cater to the iPhone/Android gamers this was designed for. And dumbed down is an understatement... instead of skill trees, classes and progression, you get 4 stats and a combat system that revolves around clubbing enemies and consuming food…

NOTE: If you like my work, please check out the rest of my reviews, I put a lot of work in these to offer the best overall description of what you’re up against. Thank you in advance! 🔷 ABOUT THE GAME & LORE 🔷 Quest Hunter is a co-op action RPG / hack-and-slash game where darkness overtakes the land after the sun goes missing while you’re mid-flight on your airship, forcing a crash. You and your…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very disappointed. This game is so cute and so much fun. I was really enjoying it but at level 7 after saving the princess, I have skull in the bag and the game will not progress. There is not another quest to pickup after this. I've been everywhere looking for something to do. Upon researching, this is a common glitch in the game. After how many years it's been out, why has this not been fixed yet? Thumbs down seriously I'm editing this to add that I figured out a workaround for this glitch.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mixed. It is quirky, and intentionally slow. The movement (clearly designed for a controller) is cumbersome. Chests send contents in all directions which then requires walking a lap around them, actions require a few seconds of waiting, and the best strategy is to use a skill, kite while waiting for recharge, and repeat. The save system is odd (a mix of automatic at unknown times, and manually by using an inventory item), which I still do not fully understand. No tutorial can be acceptable,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quest Hunter is a game whose audience is unclear to me. The simplicity of the gameplay and combat would make it ideal for a younger audience, but the sexist dialogue/jokes seem geared toward an early 2000s high schooler. The art style is good, but doesn't redeem the disengaging gameplay loop. Overall, I can think of many better options if I was looking for a co-op game to play.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Divinity Original Sin, but made for first-grader Perfect for Handhelds like Steam Deck Funny characters, nice combat, pretty balanced set of skills, a lot of grind, but it's well-made.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yeah, I dunno - this may be a nitpick, but even being a guy, the fact that there are no female player characters available kind of annoys me. It just feels weird for a game like this, especially since that's an easily remedied issue and one that was promised to be fixed in 2018 (!). I'm not saying that this makes or breaks the game, but it's evidence of a lack of care that, despite the kind of cute aesthetic and kind of fun core gameplay, just makes you suddenly pay attention to all the little…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really cute game but it keeps crashing and playing co-op everything falls out of sync. We had to keep re-starting the same beginning quests. But it would still un-sync to the point where one player was moving and the second player was moving....5 seconds after the fact. Unplayable. Unfortunate.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is a perfect game to play with your significant other who does not understand complex game mechanics. We played this game more than a year ago and on a random morning, I saw a similar PoV in a different game which made me think of the fun hours my wife and I spent playing this little game. So, I logged in to Steam to pay my respects to the developer. I highly suggest playing with a friend who would scream at scary zombies etc. It makes the game a lot of fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Disgustingly boring gameplay.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Single player is probably fine, but multiplayer lags so incredibly bad it's unplayable. My husband and I have gig fiber internet so we have a decently fast connection and multiplayer games usually aren't an issue. But we couldn't even finish the first map before one of us would lag roughly 30 seconds behind the other one.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Got it because it was couch co-op, but it was boring.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game for you fathers out there looking for something simple and enjoyable to play with your 1st graders and beyond. Kids get to practice their reading skills with the story dialogue and have fun looting and exploring.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great couch-coop game. Hours of fun just dungeon crawling with the wife and kids with a decent story and a great simplified version of the more advanced RPGs like Neverwinter and Diablo so you can introduce the basics of spell advancement and character building. Several things it needs is an inventory management system such as transfer buttons in the storage chest for same items and a comprehensive equipment list to see what is worth putting money and resources into. Additionally, it could use…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What is bad about the game: - Weak difficulties - for an experienced player diffciculties differs very slightly. - Dungeons are always the same and don't differ much. - Quests are boring - Overall the game is boring, it is even boring in Coop. I really wanted to finish it so I played 1 time. Then I started on higher difficulty, but game didnt change much. So I finished it and deleted. I don't think I will play it again, even after years. Not recommended to experienced players. Although may be…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Quest Hunter is an isometric action RPG that embraces a deliberately lighthearted tone while drawing inspiration from classic dungeon crawlers and quest-driven adventures. Developed and published by 2 Zombie Games, the title drops players into a whimsical fantasy world plunged into darkness after the sun mysteriously disappears. From the very beginning, the game makes it clear that it is less interested in epic gravitas and more focused on approachable fun, colorful visuals, and an easygoing…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Every now and then, an otherwise basic looking game on a small budget with a derivative name turns out to be a clever, fun and addicting lil co-op banger. Get some friends together offline or online and play Quest Hunter, it expertly enraptured my partners and i for 6 hours this afternoon easy
unlabelledView post →This is a wonderful little game. I have been through it many times on all difficulty levels. It has no bugs and runs like a well-oiled machine. There are so many hidden things and it now includes a free large expansion. At full price, it was worth every penny and now it is a must buy. I hope their is a sequel. You owe it to yourself to give it a try.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sorry but the Intro was more fun for me than the game play....
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played it with a friend, he gave up 6 hours in because it wasn't fun but I finished for the achievement hunting. If you've played the first 5 minutes, you've played the whole game. It only gets grindier from there. Death means nothing, you just have an annoying load time before you're back in the map with the enemies at the same health they were when you died. So in that essence, it's a very beatable game. You can throw as many corpses you want at the enemy to win the game. The real damage is…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've owned this game for years and I still don't know what to say about it. It's not a truly complete game imo.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Another title my wife and I are playing together on Steam. We play via XBox controllers in split screen mode at my PC. It has been a fantastic experience, and we both are really enjoying the game a lot. We enjoy the progression of the characters, working together on resources to allow us both to upgrade skills, inventory, and gear at more opportune times for each other. It has pretty nice graphics, music, and animations for a game of this caliber. Only con we've hit thus far, is while picking…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very simple/basic/beginner friendly rpg. Good for introducing your kid to the arpg/rpg genre. If your a skilled veteran gamer looking for a challenge, id recommend avoiding this game though, it is not what your looking for. If your just looking for an ease, laid back rpg however, then this is for you. Want to know what the game is like? Check out the trailer and the screen shots provided on the games store page. Due to its simplistic nature, the trailer/screen shots are able to tell you all…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is basically a crummy quality mobile game shoved onto PC.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm enjoying this game a lot. The graphics are very well done an the game play is smooth. with controller its even better. I like how you can level things up like your weapons an storage chest an backpack. its a corky little game with funny an sometimes witty interactions with the story line characters. The puzzles are nice as well an you don't really have to think to hard to figure them out. I picked it up on sale for like 2.99 USD but knowing what i know now i would of bought the game at full…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is just simple enough for even non gamers to enjoy it. The gameplay itself is quite addictive and really gets you hooked with the upgrades you can get. Me and my wife had a great time playing this - check out our video reviewing it if you’re interested! https://youtu.be/HbfriyTqTYM
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Me and my wife played it and we had a lot of fun. amazing Adventures, story, funny characters, good puzzles and battles are what you get.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I can't believe that I played this and never left a review so here it is: 8/10 game I really enjoyed the simplicity, the colorful graphics, the itemization and progression, the controls and character-world interactions. Unfortunately the quests kind of didn't hold up so well and your journey seems to deviate a bit from the script or focus of the narrative so I cannot rate it higher. Still, 8/10 is a respectable game in my opinion and I think the $20 price is fair.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have a five year old and a seven year old who like to play games with me but occasionally I get tired of Lego games so this has been a fun and refreshing break. I'm a huge fantasy rpg fan (Witcher, Elder Scrolls, Dark Souls etc) and this game is a fun way to introduce my boys to these worlds and to rpg's as well. The game loop is simple but it's a fun couch coop to play with the kids or a "non" gamer.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i love the game, some weard block bugg when attaking after blocking. over all a 8/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun and simple game. The puzzles in the main game aren't challenging but ramp up in the DLC. Easy going rpg that I found refreshing.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i recommend this game if you are a casual player and looking for a game that you want to play with family. its funny and good game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this game. I haven't finished it yet. I will, but trust me, it isn't worth the time. Single player this game is a waste of time, maybe with friends it's a bit more enjoyable but the biggest issue is that this game is tedious and environmentally uninteresting. Tedious in the sense that you're basically doing the same thing over and over for 10 hours and there is no progression or improvement in the gameplay when you first start out. It's just basic sword and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I actually really like it, top-down live action rpg very similar to torchlight's gameplay. It's not a cake walk either, is a little challenging even on normal and has simple easy to grasp mechanics. Love the on the world map / random encounters and random dungeons. Also has co-op, splitscreen, and online play.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I thought the game was rather pleasant. Kept me hooked for a few consecutive nights. The game is pretty polished, yet it's also not. Watching the credits near the end, it appears the game was made by like 5 people. Special shoutout to the artist...the art is amazing, given how cheap the game was ($3.99 on sale).
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →i jump off the cliff because i hate myself and then the game me an achievement. Thank you game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I may just be early in, but it'd be a golden god of glory if you could use the blacksmith to make silver keys, because so much is locked behind them and they're so far and few between.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I was left kinda disappointed by the shallow experience Quest Hunter gave me for 20€. Yes, I did 100% it, but not because the game was great, more like because it was an easy, fast 100%. The game is painstakingly easy and minimalistic, with cringe dialogue and laggy multiplayer. If you want a good exploration game with similar graphics, I can recommend Dysmantle instead. This game feels a bit like a mobile port, especially with the interface and controls being the way they are.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I found it a fun game. It is not complex and is something you can just have some fun with without spending hours figuring out the mechanics.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unexpectedly pleasant game. You have everything you need - increasing stats, upgrading items, dungeons, NPCs, quests.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This review is based on 100% completion and 19.7 hours of gameplay. Recommendation: Would I recommend this game? Yea. This is a simple game that's ideal for relaxing while playing. This game does lack depth; it is simple and easy to understand what is going on both story-wise and in terms of game mechanics. The game has a cosy aesthetic, and the sound design complements it nicely. Overall, this is a great game for young children or anyone looking for something relaxing to play. If you can…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game just needs a stat and skill reset button i enjoyed beating it took a while i hope they make dlc for it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it's terrible, don't buy it, even if it's on sale, even if it's super cheap plays like a crappy mobile port you can find much, much better games worth your time
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →overall a fun game to play with friends and mostly run smoothly even from EU to AUS playing with friends. however some areas seem to be very un optimized for online co op like : - dungeon under the tavern - DLC boss fight - the 2/3 areas b4 dlc boss fight the host had to pretty much do it completely solo in the dungeon under the tavern there was around a 3 minute delay (time taken of the achievement times) and the dlc was even worse over 15mins+ in the dlc boss arena. so if you have…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A Boring Mobile port Problems: 1) Your Movement is way too slow and boring, it's very tedious to "Solve" puzzle since some required you to walk from point A to Point B, in a Maze like area 2) Combat is boring, only 1 button to attack, n shift to defend (Block) 3) Meh Story, forget why i even here 4) Annoying map design because your movement speed 5) I hate that when you place mats in the storage, you can't craft items 6) Limited inventory space Pros? 1) Some skill are cool 2) I liked the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's possible I didn't play this long enough, but playing through the first three maps shows that this basically breaks down to three steps 1) click to attack 2) walk slowly to a person and take a quest 3) dig up a chest for them and walk slowly back. I have tried to refund this game even though I only paid $4. Sorry game, but this was just not good.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Still a bit surprised that Quest Hunter isn't more broadly played .. ✅Fits fine in 10x meta ✅Linear progress w bursty wincon similar to Warlock's ✅Straightfwd to play like Paladin's ✅Decisions matter: Discover key Beasts, collect Scout for Shokk & Squawk for late game refill

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simple, chill game, but requires you to purchase DLC packs to get 100% achievements...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Mechanics, writing, story, music, graphics, challenge, enemy ai, ui/qol etc. literally every quality I can consider about this game is mediocre and subpar. Go play something else and you'll be better off for it.
