60 of 185 · most liked firstlet's call this game a point & click platformer, though there's only indirect platforming thanks to the control scheme, which is also the reason I played it, would've passed on an actual puzzle platformer otherwise. you control two characters (love with a flower on his head, hate is the evil-looking one) and the idea is to push the red button on every level with either of them. simple click (or tab) to select, click to move system, you can stand on each other to climb higher, but falling off…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My playtime: 5h (based on steam, 100%) Developer Response: Yes (~24h; on selected threads). Intro About Love, Hate and the other ones is a game where you control two black creatures called love and hate to reach the red button. The game has 80 levels in total. Music The main menu's music sounds pleasant, despite of them being on a very low volume. I also hardly can hear any music in the levels; i only can hear the sfxs. Graphics The game uses 2D graphics which looks simple and good looking.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Another puzzley-puzzler! Got this in a bundle, yet not my kind of game. Had higher hopes of seeing something spectacular, after playing Tiny and Big. Well, it works fine on ubuntu linux, and that's important. Worked on my lowend ubuntu laptop. I just couldn't imagine playing this on anything besides a touchscreen. Does steam even run on touchscreens? Anyway, no story, the voices are the characters saying "Hate, Hate, Hate" or "Love, Love, Love" over and over (annoying!) while they use their…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →About Love, Hate and the other ones is a 80 level puzzle game where you have to reach a red button by moving pieces around with your characters. The game itself isn't too hard, except for a few really challenging levels. I had fun with it and would recommend if you like some puzzle games!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short puzzle game without story or anything special going for it really. I liked the simplistic art style. The soundtrack was lovely at times, but annoying at others. Specially the characters repeating “I love you” and “I hate you” got old quickly. Most levels were intuitive and easy. Sometimes my brain just went “nope” and I had to stare at the level for a while to find the solution obvious. Some levels break when you restart them (aka. the character is inside another object). Usually you…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute little puzzle game with 80 levels where Love and Hate (the little black blobs) need to help each other to press the button at the end of each level. The controls are a bit iffy at times, but I can’t really come up with a much better way to do them and that aside I did really enjoy this one.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A puzzle game with alot of puzzle..that what players want when they buy a puzzle game, but what make this game different from other puzzles games is they are no jumping, special properties, save game or even a story. for every level your goal is to each the red button to complet the levels, every level is harder than before, its simpley fun game to spend time for your kids or in office and to train your brain a little 6.5/10

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Normally we would say, "Hey, it's a cute game!" or say, "Hey, this game has a fun mechanism!". But for About Love, Hate and the other ones we can actually say, "Hey, this game has a cute mechanism!". Yuppy, a cute and unique mechanism along with the cute graphic design, which makes this puzzle solving game unique and lovable. Yeah, one can say it's sokoban with a gravity system, but still, it's the one who came up with the concept to draw in players that counts as a winner here. :3 The puzzles…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm definitely Recommending "About Love, Hate and the other ones." It's a nice, fun little puzzle game that's very well done and has no time pressure. The developer uses the first several levels as a tutorial to teach us how to use each ability as it's introduced and then gives us the mainstream levels. Levels 1 through 60 are quite enjoyable and straightforward. As I went through those, I felt really good (like I had gotten better at puzzle games and possibly wasn't a total idiot). But,…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game taught me more about relationships than any self-help book ever could. Love attracts, Hate repels, and the rest? They just get in the way. It’s like a metaphor for every group project I’ve ever been in. Beautiful art, clever puzzles, and a constant reminder that sometimes you just need a little push—or pull—to solve life’s problems. 10/10 would emotionally manipulate blobs again.

When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First of all, rarely has a game title been more horrid than this. Secondly, I officially name this the Gazillionth block-based indie puzzle game I've played. The puzzle style is reminiscent of Jelly no Puzzle, without ever capturing its brilliant tightness. In About Love, puzzles feel *loose*, i.e. they could often be much harder without adding any pieces. There's plenty of cleverness, but hardly any challenge, at least for most of the game. The devs could have, and should have, cut the number…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its an okay puzzle game and I find the characters within the game pretty cute. I will say the puzzles within the game may take some time to accomplish and there is the possibility of being stuck for a bit, so that may discourage some individuals. However, this game is pretty decent and i recommend a play if given the opportunity. P.S. I also recommend obtaining the game when its discounted, because I believe I got my copy for about $3 at most.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Note: I played with the sound off, the voices sounded annoying. Worth it on sale, but the full price is high for a game that was cheap on mobile version. The first 3/4 is casual, the last 1/4 is medium to hard but not unfairly hard. There is an undo button and all the mechanics are straightforward and consistent. Cute graphics with a soft, painted look. If you only like casual puzzles or only like hard puzzles, you might not like the difficulty jump at the end or find the earlier part…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a nice small puzzle game, you can control Love and Hate to push "others" away or draw them back and get to the red button, that's the story. There are 80 levels, 4 worlds and first 10 levels are kinda like tutorial and the puzzles get harder after that. Its technically a mobile port so u have to click on the spot to move characters or do things yet it is a good time killer. buy it on sales only
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very charming puzzle game. The difficulty was well curved and it only got hard after the 65th level (80 levels in total) . About 6 hours of content pros: > very charming > variety in levels and "characters" that you interact with > good level design and unique mechanics > good curving difficulty cons: > not much of a story > no achievements :(
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TL;DR: This is a cute enough game but it doesn't offer enough variety and creativity puzzle wise to keep me engaged. Though it sports a cute cast and a nice idea the actual gameplay can be best described as monotonous. Its puzzles are all very similar and mostly build up complexity by just adding to your workload, rather than adding new mechanics, which are far and few between, making it feel a lot more like a chore than an interesting brainteaser. This is exasperated by the fact that the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is one of the most fun & challenging games I've played in forever. The first 3-10 (I don't remember exactly) levels are very easy - an introduction of sorts. But then it just keeps on going. It keeps being interesting - they throw in easier levels (where you juggle new concepts) with more challenging ones where you have to really think on how to apply them to reach the solution. This is one of those extremely few games where I'd gladly pay for extra DLC every month for the rest of my life.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The developer made the effort to add Steam Trading Cards, but couldn’t be bothered to add any Steam achievements. With 80 levels across four different worlds, there were plenty of opportunities for achievements, whether for completing levels, solving difficult puzzles, or finishing the different worlds. The game is a decent little puzzle experience, but the lack of achievements is a disappointing omission for anyone who likes having something to work toward and collect on Steam.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute Puzzle Game with interesting characters. You control 2 chars names Love and Hate. Love can only say "Love" which will lure the Other Ones closer to him, while Hate can only say "Hate" and shush the Other Ones away. You have to think before you make a move, otherwise you may lock yourself. There is an Undo Button, so you can try as long as you need. Behind the puzzles is also a little story, shown in animated cutscenes. https://youtu.be/rl4FJEvD44Q?si=9S4eh44aoHwLfoBL
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A simple puzzle game whose rules are quick to learn. You control two characters. One represents love, and the other represents hate. Both send their emotions to other characters, who react to them in different ways. They may hide, stand up, follow you, run away, and so on. Your goal is to reach the level end button with one of these two characters. If I were to summarize most levels, the main objective could be described as using the other little characters to somehow build yourself a kind…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a good puzzle game with nice mechanics. It has a decent lifespan. My only regret is that there's only one way to complete each puzzle.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fairly simple and kinda adorable puzzler.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this game years ago on my iPhone and it is really entertaining and challenging.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →About Love, Hate and the other ones is a really unique puzzle game. I loved the way Love and Hate each have their own powers, and the puzzles are designed around their personalities. The art is simple but full of character, and the gameplay is both relaxing and challenging. It’s one of those games you can enjoy at your own pace, and the atmosphere is perfect for a cozy game night. Highly recommended for puzzle fans!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game’s not about drive and not about power, but about love, hate and the other ones.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fullscreen mode doesn't work. If you have Fullscreen on, you have a small window in the top left corner of the screen. If you have fullscreen off, a small window is at the centre of the screen. This game is tagged as 'Platformer' but I wouldn't call it a platformer. It looks like a 2D platformer that plays like a point and click adventure. But it's 100% a puzzle game. It is basically Thomas Was Alone without the platforming and less inspired. I got stuck on the 4th or 5th level. Did not…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A simple and likable 2D game about drawing NPC's closer or sending them away to use their heads as footstools. Callous, maybe, but necessary. The gameplay is that simple. You click to send either Love or Hate there - you can click whichever of them you want to be active - and if you click on a "Lazy One", Hate will send a hurtful word or Love will send a comforting one to push or pull the NPC respectively. It's simple, but it makes for great puzzle solving variety. One thing I'm not so sure…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Charming platform puzzling.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good: Cute gfx and sound. Nice puzzle mechanics with a variety of characters. Reasonable (for a puzzle) gameplay duration. Bad: First three stages were very (very!) easy. In the last stage, difficulty spiked abnormally for a few levels, then again very easy ones. I hoped the difficulty level increased more smoothly. Verdict: 7/10. Joyful puzzle game, definitely recommended. But does not have much replay value.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →About Love, Hate, and the other ones is a puzzle game where you both really love and really hate getting to red buttons. Difficulty is medium hard with a few hard levels in there. Took me 7.4 hours to beat it using a mouse, but expect it to take you longer and for you to get stumped royally. Gameplay - You click on your two respective characters to change them, you click on other denizens of the 2d world to shout whether you love or hate them (Hating them drives them away, and Loving them…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Now this game is one of the strangest puzzlers I've ever played in terms of difficulty. This game starts (and by starts I mean first 60 levels) with very easy puzzles,to the point I felt I was playing a game made for 7-year-old child. So i finished most of the 60 levels with ease and my thought was-What a waste of time.Well after level 60 the difficulty ramps up insanely or my IQ dropped from 140 to 60 :).For real now,I play a tons of puzzlers and in my 10 years of playing them I never came…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First thing I noticed is how cute the characters are, I absolutely love their contrasting voice, i laughed when i heard them do the "i love you" & "i hate you" commands. The game is very easy to understand and the puzzles are very nicely made, no bugs no anything. Simple, cute and well thought. ~ i must admit i had to search for a little help for the last puzzle but i think if you take the time and you want to relax with a point and click easy puzzle, this is the one ;)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →adorable little puzzle game my kids play this on a 27' touch screen via steam, and the mouse control is prefect too... you can roll back step by step and each level is like less than 5 mins difficulty is pretty low, good for a little relax
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The painting style is lovely, is a relaxed casual small game, for children to play very good
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This simple puzzler keeps things super simple. The love-hate mechanic is pretty easy to understand, and cute cutscenes make the most of the basic one-note characters. Not a grand masterpiece, but very competent, and worth looking at and smiling at
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun puzzle game with a bit of a twist. You control one 'creature' which repulses and another which attracts. The first part is a little too easy to solve the platforming puzzles but it eventually ramps up into a very difficult ending.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →DIRECT REVIEW SUMMARY: This is a great game to let the little nieces and nephews play. At about a dollar per hour, you'll get your money's-worth out of this ...unless you're bad at puzzles - then it will take you a lot longer than that! Hahaha. You can beat this in about 3 days - maybe 1 if you really commit to it, though, I'd recommend taking breaks occasionally. OVERVIEW: As far as kids go, I think a game like this really teaches them to think things through and have a "big picture" sort of…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has an amazingly rich and deep story over the classic conflict between love and hate. Can love exist with hate around, and can it survive without. The dialoge, all voice recorded, is breathtaking. It really sends chills down your spine with the profound and witty banter between love and hate. And to add even more nuance to this epic tale they have managed to cast the emotions lazy, dead, gluttonous hat and teleport. You came for the puzzles, but the story turns out to be the real…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An surprisingly fun and difficult puzzler with simple mechanics. Game starts reasonably easy in the early levels learning the different mechanics of the game and progresses to very difficult puzzles in the later stages. The graphics are good with the differentiation between units plainly observable. Don't listen to music so cant comment on that. Game is totally mouse driven with extrenely intuitive interface. I only have 6 hours in game but spent at least twice as long offline thinking…

Going to play about an hour of each game I have and review it based on my impressions within that time. Wish me luck. This is an odd one not to recommend. It isn't a bad game, just not really much to see here. It is a simple puzzle game with a simple mechanic loop with a cute idea to tie it together. I found the little Love and Hate sprites endearing and funny for a little bit, but about 30 minutes in,…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice idea, cute graphics, and 80 puzzles. Some of the puzzles were very easy, some were more difficult. In a couple puzzles I really had to stop and think how to solve it and try many times. Sometimes the first mostly obvious idea turned out to not work in the very end. Good thing that you can rewind any step back, or fully restart the level if you find out that you really went wrong route to begin with. Some puzzles I got the feeling I solved them in a way that the designer did not intend as…

The audio is pretty non-existent, no song at all, which makes it sad, but it is actually a fun little game. Not hard at all and pretty straightforward in its Idea, but at least it is fun in some way.
