Despite the great Divine not being in it - DL has always been my favorite Waters movie - Scott and I even named the town in “Problem Child 2” Mortville as a homage.

It was buried deep in my mind, I think I watched it when I was like 4 years old. There are other bizarre visuals on it.

Pete & Pete was a warm safe haven from that shit, plus it was actually funny instead of gross/outrageous. It's still the high water mark for sitcoms on Nick by kind of a lot.

unlabelledView post →It reminds me of when I was a kid and they showed movie violence on TV but censored parts. Yes, they'd change it to burps or remove it. I remember it in Problem Child 2, Blazing Saddles and Jungle 2 Jungle. They censor just to censor.
unlabelledView post →Problem Child 2 had an estimated budget of $15 Million dollars ($35 Million today) and the punchline of the whole movie is a dog that goes into a trance for days then comes out and makes 2 of the largest piles of shiny poop you've ever seen and then cuts immediately to an 80s closing credit banger

unlabelledView post →The only reason I have any sort of memory of this is an offhand joke in the critically panned movie Problem Child 2. I'm not kidding.
unlabelledView post →I got my very conservative aunt to buy me Problem Child 2 sight unseen. As a sheltered church kid I just assumed a movie about a kid was fine.
unlabelledView post →On this day in 1991, Problem Child 2 premiered in theaters! It was the 2nd film in the trilogy and wasn't as big as the first but it still doubled the budget with $32.7 million. It didn't have the best reviews yet still stars the great John Ritter and now it celebrates 35 years! #ProblemChild2 #90s

unlabelledView post →Movie of the night: Problem Child 2. Sometimes you just need John Ritter.
unlabelledView post →Never had one. The only movie I can say I've actively disiked in my 49 years of existence was 'Problem Child 2'. For somebody, though, it may be a key childhood memory. Movies are beautiful. Each has it's value. Just maybe not for you.
