Critics, per Wikipedia
On the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, 59% of 73 critics' reviews are positive, with an average rating of 5.7/10. The website's consensus reads: "Starting off with a fun hook and diluting it with a plethora of clichés, Pretty Lethal doesn't reach its full operatic potential but doles out enough balletic action to remain reasonably en pointe." On Metacritic, which uses a weighted average, the film holds a score of 51/100 based on 15 critics, indicating "mixed or average" reviews. Ziegler was nominated for the 2026 Critics' Choice Super Award for Best Actress in an Action Movie.

neutral · AI labelView post →I watched Pretty Lethal on Prime. If you like ballerinas killing men, it’s a good movie. Also, another movie where Uma Thurman gets revenge again.

positive · AI labelView post →Look, it’s a perfectly timed movie about enraged ballerinas! ‘Pretty Lethal’ is an action flick starring Maddy Ziegler, Lana Condor, Iris Apatow, and Uma Thurman, and it had SXSW audiences roaring.

neutral · AI labelView post →Not a fan of Hostel, Saw, torture-porn or any of that, but have to say PRETTY LETHAL is pretty good, the film humanist & lacking cruelty despite so much gore. The ballerina gimmick is goofy & hilarious and effective, I was enjoying it throughout. Uma Thurman has fun. Recommended.

neutral · AI labelView post →‘Pretty Lethal’ is a fun ass movie. I see it’s 68% on Rotten Tomatoes and I’m like it’s a movie about ballerinas who find themselves trapped in a hotel with Uma Thurman killing dudes with razor blades between their toes. Sorry it wasn’t also ‘Call Me By Your Name’ in the middle part

neutral · AI labelView post →10 minutes in to amazon's ballet action/horror movie Pretty Lethal and hugely enjoying how the soundtrack so far has consisted of Rhythm is a Dancer and Everybody Dance Now, subtext is for cowards etc
positive · AI labelView post →Just watched Pretty Lethal, which we really enjoyed. It was stylist and cute and violent. It didn’t get the best reviews, but one that stood out to me was one that said it was an odd movie, written like someone watched John Wick who loved ballerinas. JW was famously trained by ballerinas.
positive · AI labelView post →Put on Pretty Lethal because a violent ballerina movie seemed like a good idea, and it's super uneven, really quite exceptionally silly in both good and bad ways, but Lana Condor absolutely steals it. Truly ridiculous piece of work and I'm glad it exists. Shout out to the stunt men

Five ballerinas find themselves trapped in a hotel run by Uma Thurman & must use their dance skills to deadly use against the scumbags residing there. Silly? Oh yeah. Entertaining? Hell yes. #Actionsky
positive · AI labelView post →My 2026 movie ranking so far. I really need to make an effort to see more movies from this year. (Pretty Lethal is fine, by the way. I almost feel like watching something truly wretched like Animal Farm to have an actual bad movie on the bottom)

neutral · AI labelView post →So the movie about ballerinas fighting some evil criminals (Pretty Lethal, 2026) was lots of fun 👯♂️ It had some of the best choreography I've seen in an action sequence for a long time. Shame it was let down by boring exposition, but I'd still recommend!

neutral · AI labelView post →27. Pretty Lethal See, this is movie was dumb and silly in all the best ways. Little action flick where five ballerinas fight their way out of a mafia house? God yes. Also had Uma Therman, and I swear, between this and RW&RB, Uma Therman is having so much fun.

positive · AI labelView post →PRETTY LETHAL on Prime Video is a survival action movie featuring fierce ballerinas. This is the kind of movie that would never have been made when I was a teenager. It’s all about girl power and sticking together. Also, the fight sequences are WILD. Read our review ↘️

positive · AI labelView post →OMG, we have found a fantastically ridiculous movie: Pretty Lethal. A small troupe of ballerinas gets trapped in a hotel in backwoods Hungary, where they end up killing the bad guys by weaponizing The Nutcracker. With knives in their pointe shoes.

positive · AI labelView post →Pretty Lethal is a fun movie that's so bad that it's good. It's campy and deliberately cunty. I needed more of those ballerina moves in John Wick's Ballerina.
positive · AI labelView post →Watched Pretty Lethal and while I had a good time I think this movie would’ve been a million times better if they had worked with a lower budget Production quality just didn’t match the vibe they were going for
