Police Quest 2: Always check your sights and wear proper ear protection (and lung protecton)...and other protection...but never ever under any circumstances dry your hands. Police Quest 3: Never shoot first. Unless it's daytime. And you are in a bar. And a biker gives you a mean look. Then you're good. Yeah. Squeeze that…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice that they included the map from PQ3, but not the rest of the manual which you need to look up codes for the game. Yes you can search and find it on the web, but why is it not included in the collection that I paid for? Review update: after playing PQ3 for many hours and making it to "Day 6" I hit a glitch where I could not progress, if I talked to the chief he would keep saying the same thing and I would have to keep returning to the same burning building. After trying various things I…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What a blast from the past! I bought it immediately, and have been going on patrols since. The only negative comment I have is that The Gazette (part of game documentation) is missing, or I didn't know where to find it. No worries, though...it's available online. 10/10 would shower with naked cop again.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Buy it on GOG, not Steam! As it stands, the Steam version is a lazy, dated & abandoned DosBox port. The GOG versions running on ScummVM are much improved. However if you must get them on Steam, do yourself a favor and replace DosBox with the latest version of ScummVM and run them on OpenGL with better scaling, the option to use better audio such and Tandy/PCJr for the first game and Adlib & Roland MT-32 for the sequels, are a must-have. Fortunately they were nice enough to use the original…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I couldnt open my damn locker. I thought: "since this is an old school game, maybe I need to refer to the manuals it came with it ..." I found some files in the game folder but none had the "gazette" (a newspaper I assume). Turns out the steam copy doesnt come with one and you have to search for one online, or buy the gogo version that comes with everything needed to actually play the damn game. This does it. Steam is good for modern games, GOG is .... good for ... old games. Now I get it…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nostalgia overload!!! I remember sitting in my friends basement playing this on his little machintosh. Countless hours spent moving through the story just to get beat up by the bikers because we left the nightstick in the car, who knew it wasn't on your person? PQ1 by far is the best of the 3 even though they are all good. 3 you say, but theres 4 included in here...4 is dead to me, I hated any of those games in the late 80' 90's that tried to look like real life graphics in exchange for GARBAGE…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The the orginal games in there Orginal Releases... 10/10 PQ1 EGA works. VGA on my pc dose not.. Alt-Enter for window mode.. Full screen has issues.. I personlly own all the orginal on disk and finished ever single one as well.. For a challge see if you can find the "score" bug in PQ1... here is the score bug... positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Police Quest 1 was my first real graphical adventure game. I used to play those textual adventures on my Commodore 64 before that (you know, games with little or no graphics at all and everything was simply described by a wall of text). PQ1 was like a first real love, the kind you meet in later years of elementary school so I guess that makes those C64 adventures - kindergarten girls :) Anyway, I cannot be objective about this game. I love it, I play them all over again every few years and I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I must honestly say that I never liked Police Quest. Unlike contemporary series such as Larry, Kings Quest and Quest for Glory they always seemed to do everything wrong. The player is typically left to his own devices without any clues as what to do next, forced to perform boring police procedures and lured into dead ends which forces you to restart the game over and over. They have not aged very well either, the "realistic" graphics are dated, no voiceover and a clunky interface plague the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just as a preface, so people don't think I'm some unappreciative punk. Back in the 80s and 90s I adored Sierra On-Line and all their games. The Space Quest and especially the Quest for Glory series are still some of my favorite adventure games of all time. But the Police Quest series just can't hang with any of their other games. So far, I've only played VGA version of Police Quest I. But it's pretty awful. The VGA era for Sierra On-Line was like an awkward stage in puberty. Gone were the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a Love - Hate thing If you never played around with Police Quest back in the day, it won't have the same charm from days of yore. (and it's the charm that's really the backbone of this collection in 2021) Whilst the original Police Quest was given a wonderful VGA makeover in 1992 which updated the graphics and sound dramatically (and also introduced the familiar point and click interface) Police Quest 2 was never given this treatment. I'm afraid EGA graphics with Sierra's Interpreter…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Police Quest games made me. I have no fonder means by which to describe these fine exemplars of the SIerra adventure game ethos--perhaps the finest exemplars that exist. Police Quest is not about relentless action, intrigue, or carnage. It is about following the rules and abiding by the manual; it is about falling in line and being a cog in the massive gears of police work. Police Quest is a gem, a treasure.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Didn't include the copy of the gazette for PQ1... idiots
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is when adventure games were great. I love the old Sierra games and had them all on the Atari ST back in the 80s when they came out and then continued the series on PC. I used to have this collection years ago that I picked up in USA must of been 2001 when I saw it in a wall mark but in all the moves I have missplaced it so when it came on stream it was a no brainer. The games work well on my windows 10 machine and when you start the launcher it automatically opens up Dosbox and loads the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Worth it at a deep discount if you want to nostalgically play Police Quest 1 and 2. If you never played them? Not worth your time. Honsetly, in today's day and age, they just aren't good games. They never were really compared to the puzzle solving of King's Quest and the humor of Space Quest, but people like me have a nostalgic remembrance of them from the 80s. Police Quests were essentially an interactive movie (with bad plots) with frustrating elements put in to make it a difficult…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Old school classic right here. If you know, you know.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game aged as well as Macaulay Culkin.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Er... Nope. This is a collection of 4 very old games with mechanics that predate the P&C games we know nowadays. Each one has a story connected in some ways to the next one except for the last one, which is independent of the others. The music is something that comes and goes randomly. Bugs... yeah, and glitches and more. Runs fine on win 7. Overall, it's plainly bad. It's extremely dated, it still uses text commands. It's hard to control. The mechanics are primitive and really annoying. The…

This will also allow for use of the Steam Overlay and the taking of screenshots. While not without some merit at times, the Police Quest series is something of an insanely bizarre historical anomaly of, at best, mixed quality and overall atrocious writing. The stories are either outright weak or…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is terrible...so terrible I got a refund from Steam. The game is glitchy and I am not just saying that because it is an older game, I am saying it because it is true. Unless you are reliving your youth save your money...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I am very much interested in remastering the collection series if you are interested in this please reach out to me on here. I grew up on this game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For a game so old, this is actually still quite playable and not too bad. Even though the UI and gameplay are clunky/dated, the point and click nature of the game makes it age a lot better. There is quite a bit to explore as well, with the game bundling the first 4 games together. If you are interested in this classic, give it a shot especially when it is on sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Old school gaming a bit of nostalgic game for me one of the 1 st games I ever played but still fun and entertaining
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The Police Quest Collection is a classic bundle that brings together the best (and sometimes the quirks) of Sierra's crime-themed adventure games. These games are a mix of gritty police work, puzzles, and Sierra's signature humor and challenge. If you enjoy classic point-and-click adventures with a darker tone, this collection is a trip back to the late 80s and early 90s. Police Quest I: In Pursuit of the Death Angel (9/10) The original game is a standout for its gritty depiction of police work…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just look at this "pixel art" and compare it to today's retro imposters.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the game that really got me into Computer Gaming. Sonny Bonds, you're a legend. Played 1, 2, 3, 4 and even tried Police Quest SWAT. Many fun times!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →These games are very difficult to play on modern machines and with a modern approach to gaming, but they are actually really awesome. A lot of cool details, including some police "culture" that has survived all the way into modern policing, is very present in these games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Timeless point and click classic. Was part of my childhood that also helped pave the way for future gaming and story telling. More than just a series of games. A sentimental throwback to a simpler time. Give it a shot and take a step back into PC gaming history.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Thought it would be nostalgic. Nope, it was just frustrating.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Only for early 90s adventure connoisseurs. After trying to satisfy my recent urge for retro-games with the Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection, which failed miserably because I obviously suck at arcade fighting games, I went for a much more laid back and chill experience with the classic Police Quest Collection and much to my surprise those games did not age as poorly as other classic adventures I've played from the early 90s. The Collection contains the original versions of the first…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →old school sierra vibes are always a good thing first pc gaming i really got into watching my dad play them
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great for nostalgia purposes...even includes all the glitches and bugs! Fun times, fun times. If you never played these games growing up, you probably won't enjoy them as they are no way close to today's gaming preferences. I grew up with these games so I can enjoy them for the nostalgia value. Reminds me of the kings quest series also.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Such a disappointment, I can't believe I'm downvoting them. Police Quest 1: It's meh at best, often just bad, especially the writing. It reads like an amateur fangame. Gameplay: if you like the die&retry genre. And nearly impossible to do without a walkthrough as you have to enter data you don't know (like a phone number near the end - where are you supposed to know this number?). Police Quest 2: EGA only and no mouse control, you have to type commands! Maybe it worked back in the days but…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Old school classics. Sierra at it's best.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a great throw back to the 1990's.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →one of my favourite games as a kid, in fact all the sierra games were my faves. i wish it was available on my macbook, i bought it when i had windows but now im on a mac and cant play anymore :(
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Arr yes the days when Sierra was the king.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got this game for nostalgic purposes, use to play it with mi padre, so its cool to play again
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I remember playing this on PC a very long time ago. Looked a lot cooler back then.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Gamer's Discression is Advised. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wEnibPvgfZo A Collection of 4 Police Quest titles released from 1987-1993. It's Another great Inventory Adventure series that Sierra On-Line created back when MS-DOS & Windows 3.1/95/98 was still by popular demand. The first three games were produced by former police officer Jim Walls and follow the adventures of Sonny Bonds, a character whose name and appearance was loosely based off his own son, Sonny Walls while the remainder…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Doesn't work. Got it in humble bundle though so won't be refunding anything. Win7 x64
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of my favorite series from Sierra. Glad the EGA version of police quest is here though. The VGA remake feels very disjointed because of how the camera angels work. Also sidenote, enable your aspect ratio or mod the resolution because out of the box the resolution is 600x400.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My personal favorite early PC adventure games. Police Quest 4: Open Season (PQ4) is the true masterpiece here. Those were the days when CD-ROMs were all the rage in the gaming world. Consoles had the hardware consistency and shelf-life advantage over an average desktop long before the touch-screen-phone took over my world. Before those abominations, the avant-garde video game world consisted of brave, bored, spoiled, or insane programmers and we the gamers who could get ahold of a good…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cleaning up the streets of Lytton, California one day at a time, this classic Sierra point and click adventure is a Time Machine right into my childhood. You can go pure classic 80’s with EGA or high color 90’s with VGA. Like all Sierra games, it stands the test of time. Such an incredible series. Highly recommend for anyone!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolute classic DOS game!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →brought out best memories which i played after my dad showed me how. I played years ago but i play again. Really did enjoyed it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a collection of 4 abandonedware Sierra point + click adventure games where you follow the career of a police officer/detective and use traditional adventure game mechanics and police procedures to solve crimes. The games all run in DOSbox and while they were state of the art back in the 1980's, they're just too dated to get into now. Little work has been done on these, even though they certainly deserve a remaster. Activision is nostalgia gouging these abandonware games for $10 USD,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The steam version lacks the manuals needed to play the game for example the code for the locker in PQ1 is 269. Sure websites like http://www.sierrahelp.com/ exist and you can ask online, but what fun is that? Overall the games did not age that well.. especially the second one where you type commands. Don't get me wrong the art style is as good as any other Sierra game, but there are better games to play. The third game was a drag from beginning to end.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I remember the original PQ from the early 90s. I was on vacation with my mom in the Netherlands and saw it. Despite a lot of crying and arguing she would refuse to buy it. However, I got the game from my pocket money some time later. It was one of the major things, that helped me to learn English and it was also my first text based game. It is difficult but sadly not too long. I never knew much about PQ2 and PQ3 until some years later, when I found those online as abandonware and got them…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I grew up on Sierra adventure games like Space Quest and King's Quest, but Police Quest never drew me in. Considering that sci-fi and modern are my go-to favorite settings, one would think that Police Quest would be preferred by me over King's Quest. However, despite the modern setting and that it's a point-and-click adventure game, I simply cannot get into Police Quest. Why? Well, the game seems more intent on being a hazy police sim, wanting you to constantly check the rule book to look up…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →These games are so awesome. So raw and challenging. Shows you what it's like to be a cop!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A collection of the four Police Quest games which you run in DOS BOX. It is incredible to see the awesome games devs could create with that limited technology back then.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awful copy protection (even one essential thibng missing), sad port (dosbox), crashes. Not much fun.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great old games. Awesome neon pink and 90's feel to it. Don't expect these game to hand you any easy ones. This is the old school Sierra type where you are given few to no pointers. Great games, but poor port job. It is just a quick DosBox fix. If I wanted that I could have just Dosboxed my old diskette copies myself. Because of the shoddy job the game will regularly crash. I had it crash 4 times in 20 minutes. Not cool Sierra. I would recommend if not for the crashes.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In PQ 4. Won't let me out of first crime scene. PQ3 -> The tracking device never shows up on computer guy's desk. PQ1 -> The display for the city will suddenly go off and can't see where i am on the map when driving car. Other than that its same old games...mediocre stroll down memory lane.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Games all suck. Can't even Flock your ex girlfriend or stalk their new boyfriend. Nothing like real policing. Dumb. Avoid.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Police Quest 1 has a copy protection but doesn't give you a PDF with the code
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Police Quest 2 is the only decent game in this collection despite being the oldest. It has logical gameplay with no leaps of logic required. Police Quest 4 is abysmal. Full of bugs, dead ends and some of the worst graphics I have ever seen. The graphics are so bad you will struggle to find key items. Police Quest 2 with it's EGA graphics is superior in every way. Police 1 and 3 are average games. Without the tedious driving mini-games they would be better games but you just spend far too much…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is the first game series I ever played. This game is Awesome.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't know why I keep trying these DOS games but I had to with this one as I LOVED it growing up. But it seems like none of these DOS games ever work right on new PC's. The first game doesn't even launch. The 4th game has no sound. Don't think I'll try another DOS game which sucks because it was half the reason I invested in a nice PC was to play these old games again.
