Point Break
In Los Angeles, a gang of bank robbers who call themselves The Ex-Presidents commit their crimes while wearing masks of Reagan, Carter, Nixon and Johnson. Believing that the members of the gang could be surfers, the F.B.I. sends young agent Johnny Utah to the beach undercover to mix with the surfers and gather information. From TMDB

neutral · AI labelView post →few years back a buddy and i caught Point Break on the big screen, knowing it would be a blast—but i had NO idea how much it would elevate the sheer BEAUTY of the film. i mean EVERY ocean shot had our jaws on the floor. the LIGHT. the WATER. the POWER. a 4K restoration in theaters has me giddy
positive · AI labelView post →Point Break is a Presidents’ Day movie. Donnie Darko is an Easter movie. Fast and Furious is a Ramadan movie.
neutral · AI labelView post →I’ve said this before but a well written romance is the backbone of so many beloved films and tv shows across genres. If you take the romance out of HEAT you have no movie. Point Break, Brooklyn 99. A lot execs and writers now don’t understand this.
neutral · AI labelView post →The original Point Break is, despite its own campiness or maybe because of it, a much much better heist, good/bad guy movie. Like by a fucking mile.
positive · AI labelView post →POINT BREAK was released 34 years ago today. A hugely popular action film, and one of the most acclaimed of director Kathryn Bigelow, the behind the scenes story is like a death-defying skydive… 1/46
neutral · AI labelView post →to me that's part of the beauty of Point Break: ACAB is Johnny Utah's epiphany at the end of the film
neutral · AI labelView post →Point Break (1991) 🎬🖤 Directed by Kathryn Bigelow
neutral · AI labelView post →FAST AND FURIOUS PRESENTS: HOBBS AND SHAW So its come to this: The copy of a copy of a copy of a palimpsest Point Break has finally hallucinated out a Fast and Furious movie with zero Brian and zero Dom. May God have mercy on us all.
neutral · AI labelView post →Decided this summer I'm going to watch a lot of 80s & 90s action/thriller movies I've never seen before! (Nobody tell my alma mater, they might revoke my film degree if they see how long my list is lol) So far I've watched: -Die Hard -The Terminator -Speed -Point Break What should I watch next?
neutral · AI labelView post →Just got out of the POINT BREAK 35th anniversary remaster with our own @alexjaffe.bsky.social and man, what a flick. Say what you want about Keanu; you can’t fake that skydiving. Absolute marvel of filmmaking. And as Alex says, Lori Petty does so much with so little here. Crazy good movie
positive · AI labelView post →Keanu Reeves (Point Break) is voicing Shadow the Hedgehog in Sonic 3 according to multiple sources. www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie...
neutral · AI labelView post →I'm sorry but I just don't agree that Point Break is "objectively absolutely awful." some people read its earnestness as corniness, but I love that about the movie, it reminds me a lot of John Woo. I think it's a perfect action movie, one of the best ever made.
positive · AI labelView post →Without saying Point Break, fav Patrick Swayze film?
neutral · AI labelView post →Currently watching Point Break because I've somehow never seen it before. There's no way this movie is real. Someone is playing a prank on me... 🎬
neutral · AI labelView post →There's Point Break, and then there's any other movie he's in.
neutral · AI labelView post →the movie to understand the female gaze (as both an erotic and an aesthetic approach) is Kathryn Bigelow's Point Break. same as it ever was
neutral · AI labelView post →Without saying Point Break, fav Keanu Reeves film?
neutral · AI labelView post →Today I learned that there’s a 2015 remake of Point Break that was directed by the same guy who made the first Fast and the Furious movie, and I think the fact that no one talks about it is proof that Point Break is not a story that can be successfully told by a heterosexual man.

positive · AI labelView post →People who post things along the lines of "just finished my rewatch of Point Break" or similar single film are starting to get right on my tits, it's a two hour movie, you've not just spent 600 days rewatching all of EastEnders.

positive · AI labelView post →Had never seen Point Break, so randomly watched it last night and was crazy impressed with how much an action movie from 1991 could hold up as much as it does visually. Like it's a legit beautifully shot movie. Kathryn Bigelow!
positive · AI labelView post →Whaddaya know, Rifftrax Live: Point Break is in movie theaters tonight! And again August 13 if you can’t go tonight. This link shows you where you can see it near you. I’m going tonight. I’ll be the one in the Jimmy Carter mask.
neutral · AI labelView post →Point Break is not only a truly great movie, it’s one of one. You cannot remake it, continue it, do anything with it that is useful. There is too much that is too indebted to a unique conjuncture of talent, time, and place. Just appreciate it.
