60 of 187 · most liked firstThis game is much better than I expected. I played the first game many years ago too, but I felt like somenting was missing. However, a few years later, Plantera 2 came out and it far exceeded my expectations. The game is simple, runs smoothly on any computer, and is extremely cute. But I want to point out that it is a clicker game, so if you like games of this genre, I am sure you will love it. I love the fact that they kept many things from the first game, but improved them and made them…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The cute visual alone will make you enjoy this game! Plantera has returned with its second game, which revolves around a huge oak tree where you must collect acorns to upgrade your garden. I found this idle game easier than the first one, and you can upgrade your garden even faster without worrying about the helpers, as you'll get more, the more you expand your garden. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3414299941 The variety of crops and trees is great, as are the items…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A relaxing idler with cuteness all around. It isn't hard to understand. It isn't hard to master. I played the first one and this one is good too. I especially like the goats, cats and the little mice... Too bad they are on the wrong side. D: (The mice that is). Achievements are pretty straightforward too... You just need time and/or to check in from time to time. (Duh!) ^^ Good job on this one as well!! Thanks ya! :) :> :D
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Plantera 2: Golden Acorn is an incremental clicker/idle game. The game starts off with some really catchy tunes and a very cute art style, promising to build an evergrowing garden with your workers and plenty of things to unlock. It is fun for the first hour or so, but you slowly realize that you unlock a type of crops that is a 'little better', a tree that is a 'little better' and so on, this is mostly the whole game... I remember liking the first game, but this doesn't improve on much! The…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is amazing. From the gameplay to the lore, this game is for casual and hardcore gamers alike. The lore is extremely rich and deep and it will keep you invested. I recommend this to anyone.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Plantera 2 is a proper followup to its predecessor, that expands on but doesn't deviate too far from the original. Just as before, the art style is cute without being cloying. The sounds are funny but not madness inducing. Similarly, the game's mechanics check more or less all of the requisite boxes for the genre in question. Plantera 2 has tangible progression, offline earnings, useful upgrades and (most importantly) a definite end. As I said in my review of the original game, the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great sequel with some pleasurable additions. Relatively shorter gameplay than the first title in the series, but that doesn't ruin the fun if you like (kid-friendly) relaxing idler games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Was expecting a lot more of the sequel, especially given the reviews. Plays just like the first game, and offers little to no complexity or strategy for an idle/incremental. Also crashes quite often for me. It's not _bad_, but I didn't find it worth the time or money.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Even more and better than the first entry! Full of charm and cute as hell. Great casual idle clicker game based around building a farm and chasing away pests. Really like the sprite work. Hoping for a 3rd entry! It is a bit short if using an auto clicker (which most people do in clicker games) to get hella bread from the roaming jousting knight. Still worth full price I think, to support the wonderful dev!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game brought me back feeling like a child. The cute animals, plants, and mellow workers give so much vibes that you just can't stop playing. This game is full of life. Finished all achievements in one sitting. 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Plantera 2 is a pretty simple cute idle/incremental game where the goal is just to expand and build more things. There are plenty of upgrades, units to autofarm, and a decent amount of playtime. However, this game is severely lacking in some next iteration progression mechanics, like prestiging. That said, I was just content getting 100% achievements in the game and enjoying the time I did play with is.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →3/10 becomes a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to the point where you need to remove stuff to replace it with better stuff but you cant click it cause so much ♥♥♥♥ on the screen. ooh you want to remove one of your 11 cats??? have fun finding it
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I purchased this because I loved the first game. However I found this sequel to be very short and not as fun.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a positive leaning Neutral review. Nothing inherently wrong with the game. It's very short as far as Idler games go. Achievements are very easy, if that drives you then this is a 6-8 hour game depending on your choices in upgrading, which feels short for idling. I suppose I personally prefer more long term goals. The characters and cards are really cute and I enjoyed it while I was playing but without any additions to content, I finished and uninstalled. Bought on mega sale, do not…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is basically the same as the first game. Sure it's cute, but the progression is so slow that playing it actively doesn't feel like it does much. But set it up well, and one night later, the game is complete.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game to pass the time. They added more features to make this better. After a certain point the game does crash but that's when you reach level 200+ so it tends to happen for a small game. Would recommend!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game in which we will be engaged in gardening and growing magic tree, but we will not do it alone, we will come to the aid of forest assistants who will help care for the garden, collect items and plants, as well as build and decorate the garden, making it more and more lush and alive. We will be able to harvest the crop ourselves or entrust this work to our assistants, who will work without our presence. Our main task is to take care of the tree and garden, as well as attract new animals…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Same like for the first Plantera: Cute, short little Idler. Ez to 100%. Recommend buying it on sale.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a great improvement on the first game with many new features, such as hats for the mellows, windmills, decorations plus additional and new animals, trees and crops. this makes the game feels much more fleshed out than the first and gives it more longevity with its new/ secret "god mode" where you can use golden acorns to improve mellows' efficiency, crop production and more. it took me around 5 hours to reach level 100 and get all the achievements, but by this point, i only had 4/7 trading…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If this game was free it might've been worth playing. No content or whatsoever. You just plant some stuff in 30 mins and leave your pc running for 12 hours to unlock all plants...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's like the first but has more stuff in it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →plant make more money money make more plants profit :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute, Simple idle/clicker game. Not much else to say other than I enjoyed it. 7/10 lmk when Plantera 3 drops.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Plantera 2: Golden Acorn is an idle game where you farm. There are so many ways to make money and the game is just so relaxing. The scaling gets a little absurd towards the end which makes it more fun. Really simple and good time-passer.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is exactly the same game as the first one...
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Enjoyed the first game and wanted more so I got it during sale and overall it is more or less similar to the first game but with more stuff and quality of life upgrades!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sorry there's just not enough content or gameplay here. All the gameplay consists of is buying and placing things down onto the map. Your crops/bushes/trees/animals produce things that your farmers pick up which convert to money which allows you to buy more things or expand the farm size which allows you to place more things. That's IT. You place and sit and wait. You can minimally speed things up by manually clicking crops to pick them up slightly faster than your farm workers, or click…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I feeellll like I need a version 3. Idk, just thinking aloud.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just felt like an expansion pack to the first game. Slightly higher priced but on sale it is not a bad deal. Just a few more features added on top the first game which i did not mind. It is an okay decent idler. If you liked the first game, you will enjoy the second one.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First game I got 100% completion on with the achievements, such a cute cozy game great to wind down with.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An upgrade from the previous game. Honestly, i liked the direction they are going with this one. It's an idle game, so there's some upgrades that makes you feel godliked. It's short tho, but still, it was worth your penny if you want to have some fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got Plantera 2: Golden Acorn as a giveaway prize from the awesome streamer BlueandQueenie, and it’s been such a lovely little escape. I haven’t played the first Plantera, but from what I’ve heard, this sequel is a big improvement, and honestly, it stands strong even if you’re coming in fresh like I did. The gameplay is super relaxing and flexible. You can plant crops, grow trees, and raise animals to create your own little garden paradise. The interaction is simple but fun—you can actively…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →100% playthrough here: https://youtu.be/y07asqS0l4g Overall a pretty great relaxing and cute game all the creatures are quite adorable and the music is a chill bop that doesn't get old even after playing it to completion. The achievements aren't too hard to get and for an idle it doesn't require too much time the last 50 levels can be a bit of a slog I wish there was an xp multiplier in god mode or something because it seems to level at the same pace throughout. Just a perference thing, but I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →you don´t need this if you not own Plantera 1. 2 is better in everything, except the music! and performance / fps
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱 Plantera 2 is a cute clicker/idler, I played the first one and I enjoyed it so I bought this one since there are more options to add in your farm. It's relaxing and a no brainer something nice to have in your background or to play for a bit. 🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱🌱
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Plantera 2: Golden Acorn has really cute graphics and is a fun little clicker game. You level up, expand and add to your garden or upgrade existing plants. Be aware that you will need to chase wolves, foxes, bunnies, and birds off or they will steal your goods. Idle or let your child fiddle with it! It's fairly easy to get 100% achievements.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A lot more involved than its predecessor with art, character, ability, and content expansions. A little chaotic in the beginning as a result, but overall more to look forward to and monitor. I don't feel like I can fully idle it just yet without putting more effort into setup, so I am curious what other options I have to unlock.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Plantera 2: Golden Acorn does an excellent job addressing the weaknesses of the original. This time around, the experience feels fuller and much less of a grind. Issues Addressed: •Minimal Variety: 5 new “items” were placed in each category, on top of introduced fresh categories to explore. •Pitiful Upgrades: upgrades feel meaningful right after purchase for both the preexisting upgrades and the powerful card upgrade mechanic. •Long Passive End-Game Grind: This time, your planning is…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Beat most of the game in a single frantic ~3h sitting, and it was a lot of fun, just like the first game. After that, it's the extensive, extended endgame. The upgrades are categorized as "god mode" and it doesn't look like there are (m)any upper limits. -I've got 25 land upgrades and there are still more available for very high prices. -plenty of room to upgrade to higher-value crops, if I want to grind out all the coins it'd cost. -no apparent limit to how many animals you can buy,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's just not fun, man
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It’s almost as boring as Plantera. I don’t see the point of releasing a work like this.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Developed and published by VaragtP, Plantera 2: Golden Acorn is a delightful idle farming game that expands on the original with more content, greater customization, and a stronger sense of progression. Rather than overwhelming players with complicated systems, it embraces simplicity and relaxation, inviting them to build a thriving garden around a magical oak tree whose growth serves as the heart of the adventure. Every new crop planted, animal raised, and decoration placed contributes to an…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I recently had the chance to try out Plantera 2: Golden Acorn, and while it's not without its charms, I found myself underwhelmed by its overall experience. The game has a certain cute quality to it, but beneath that surface lies a rather shallow gameplay mechanic. The core of the game revolves around waiting for new items to unlock and accumulating wealth, which quickly becomes a tedious exercise in patience. With little else to do beyond collecting resources and watching your wealth grow, I…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Excellent idle game and improves upon the first game in every single way. With that said.... for an idle game it is EXTREMELY short (5-6 ish hours) which ruins longevity so it kinda feels like you're fed progress to fast. As long as you don't mind a game you won't stick with for long then it's a solid pick.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't let the visuals fool you. This game is about slavery.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Compared to the first game, Plantera 2 is so much better. It features over twice the amount of content and keeps you busy with many more clickable items and meaningful upgrades. There's new powerful endgame content as well. I would say that this game perfects the feeling of scaling in idle games, and a comparison shows why. The ultimate goal of both games is to get to level 100. It felt like an artificial extension to gameplay time in the first game because there's nothing interesting to do…

unlabelledView post →I paid 5 USD and got a solid five hours out of it. I mainly played it as a way to take a brief break in-between grading or something. Grade a few papers, play until I'm out of coins/acorns, grade more papers, repeat. But then the upper limit of everything gets hit and there's not much else besides clicking buttons. You can't even really create a pretty farm since the screen gets so so so busy.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →definitely has better and more meaningful progression than the first, just a good upgrade overall
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty simple, feels like one of those flash games on like, Kizi or CoolmathGames that you play and enjoy enough once or twice and then forget until rediscovering it 4 years later and going "Oh yeah, that game was neat." Worth an afternoon or two if you like those really simple kind of management games.
