I would say this is a verified game for Steam Deck. Does require more testing though, but for now it's a 'go'. STEAM DECK FRIENDLY.

unlabelledView post →Could be a fun game, but the boss modifiers are so badly designed it's not even funny. Some of them don't do anything at all or hardly have any impact while others will completely screw you over leaving you with zero (yes, ZERO) chance to proceed/win. This is obviously a game that involves luck to win, but if you get an unbeatable modifier after playing for 20 minutes it sucks all the fun out of the game. Keep in mind that on low difficulties like easy or normal this doesn't matter that much,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I want to love the game but I can't. It's been presented to me as a "balatro with dices". Indeed you can modify the faces, you have relics and you can repaint your dices. Pro: The Idea Con: -There is no enough incentive to go outside the base 1to6 faces. Negative or giant values are hard to get and do not have enough relic/consumable synergies to be viable -The inflation system makes it impossible to have a "I broke the game" feeling. -Locking the shop costs golds but unless you have a good…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awfully designed, not steam deck compatible. The UI is simply terrible for a game where the UI is central to the core gameplay. Navigating the buttons is frustrating, trying to apply modifiers to the dice via a controller is clunky and frequently confusing, with focus being shifted to other containers in the UI and an overall lack of selection indicators (or very unclear ones when present). The UI would frequently just stop showing me where my cursor was after purchasing something or selecting…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I think the only way you can go wrong with this game is going in thinking it is a Balatro clone. Yes, they do share similarities, but Pip My Dice is different on so many levels and brings its own sense of fun to the table. If you are a Balatro fan, or even if you aren't, Pip My Dice might just roll right into your favorite games. Only real complaint is Steam Deck support, please add some, it is already mostly functional but there were definitely times when it just randomly stopped…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very enjoyable "Balatrolike". The one drawback is the horrible UI that I hope will get fixed in a future update (inconsistent UI elements, horrible font choices and no one clearly playtested all the different resolutions you can set in the game -- you can softlock yourself if you're not careful in the settings menu). Still a recommended from me, feels like the developer's heart is in the right place.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →TLDR: This game is phenomenal, a must try. Yahtzee is a game very close to my heart and I play several dozen games a day, so when I saw a roguelite game on the same theme I had to try it, was refreshing the page over and over until it went from coming soon to available to buy. Jumped right in and I'm at over ten hours played out of the first 24 of it being out. Brilliant mechanics, really satisfying visuals, a super catchy music track, and highly addictive scoring. Customising the dice…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game breaking bugs, unenjoyable progression system and the only strategy is make every face X number.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As I write this, I'm 77.7 hours in roughly three weeks into release. Yeah. Next best thing to Balatro in terms of this game mechanic, and it's original in every other way. If you liked Balatro, just get it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Dropping a thumbs up here to help push this in the store. Great job, this game is a ton of fun. First time I sat down with it 2 1/2 hours passed and I didn't even realize lol. I think some of the reroll boss mechanics feel way too punishing, but other than that i'm super pleased.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really good game, if you liked Baltro, you will like this game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Been waiting for this to come out, it scratches that rougelike itch i've had :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I echo the other similar review - the Score button is way too close to the Reroll button. I just accidentally ended a run due to it. Otherwise, good game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Balatro with dice sounds close, but it really has its own feel to it. Gameplay feels smooth, but be warned that there is an RNG demon built in there that can creep up or just smack you out of nowhere. Which is liked, as a game like this should NOT be able to be beaten every time, even if gameplay is near perfect. It's disliked to see gamers whine about RNG when that's the concept the game is built on. If you don't take the occasional drubbing well, just find a safe game to play that can give…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'll be honest, the game has promise. It really does! However, I think it needs more polish in terms of game design. The concept is there, yes, but it almost seems like there's too much going on. Here's my list of things that I took issue with and here's how I would improve them: - as a player, I didn't feel incentivized to use the multiple slots. If I kept building up one slot, it felt like the others were backups and I never used the third slot. The fact that there's a bonus for doing the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yeah, sure, it looks like Balatro + dice, but playing "Pip My Dice", I can't shake the feeling that it's actually more than just that. The customization of your dice, combined with all the different relics, makes every run so different, more than balatro i would say, and the leaderboard, while a seemingly small feature, makes me come back again and again. For 10€, it's a no brainer !
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pip My Dice is probably one of the best "balatro inspired big number go brrrr" roguelikes I've played. It takes simple Yahtzee mechanics and introduces an insane amount of dice customization to make you really feel in control of your builds even though there's still a lot of normal RNG goodness. And it makes getting those big numbers really really satisfying! Def recommend! https://youtu.be/CZ5_a-Sh3Xg
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love dice games. reminds me of Farkle If you love that specific "push-your-luck" tension, Pip My Dice taps right into that same adrenaline rush, but injects it with modern video game upgrades.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pip My Dice is a surprisingly deep and addictive roguelike that transforms the simple act of rolling dice into a strategic obsession filled with powerful synergies, escalating score chains, and constant experimentation. Developed and published by Diving Swan Games, the title takes inspiration from classic dice games while blending them with modern roguelike progression systems and score-focused mechanics that feel heavily influenced by deckbuilding strategy games. What begins as a…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game, super helpful dev, perfect outlet for obsessive tendencies.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Warning! Warning! This is a very poor copy of the concept behind Balstro. If you want something like Balstro, you will not find it here. Lots of weird concepts that don't play off each other or create synergies. Should have a manual explaining what some of the dice faces do (like the numbers vs pips, negative numbers, etc.). You may like it but it's not for me. Peace.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game! I had some initial pet peeves with release, but the developer was not only extremely communicative but QUICK to respond and improve the overall game QOL and is showing an amazing dedication to the game that I'm confident that they have been working on for some time now. Looking forward to continue playing this game and many others.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun twist on a "Yatzee" style game. Plenty of power ups and dice modifications to make for endless replays. Much like the card game Balatro if youve played it. All in all a fun game you can easily lose hours playing. Highly recommended.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Wanted to like the game, I've only found one good Balatro-like dice variant so far, and I was hoping this interpretation would bring that same enjoyment. Unfortunately, between some inconsistent and poorly explained mechanics and upgrades, and a game feel which doesn't quite match the promo videos, it's just a little disappointing. It's not an awful game by any measure, just very much brought up some bugbears I have in other games in this genre, which made me just not want to play any more.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not nearly as charming as Balatro, but still satisfying to play. Sessions last about half an hour on average, and are fun even when you lose. Plenty of space for dizzying combos and clever theory-crafting, too.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I quite like it. The music needs more variety though I dig the pseudo like 32bit era arcade music (it's not really 32bit but it has that feel) The only gripe I have is not being able to identify which die has or may have a modified face to it. You can't spin them around during the round as far as I know, and of course you can make them identifiable with paints and whatnot but if all the default die are white and you add some modifiers to a few of them, and they all roll the face where you…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is such a fun casual game to have in your library. Concept is that you start with five dice and you have three scoring lines you can move things in like pairs, runs, five of a kind, etc. Kind of like Balatro, each line has a base scoring thing and then a multiplier thing; a little difference is that you add all three lines together before doing the multiplication. You buy dice faces and modifiers (some for the roll, some permanent) and get relics (bonuses for specific scoring types,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you enjoyed Balatro and want a similar experience then this is for you.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The relics are boring, as they mostly only affect one of the 2 numbers relevant in scoring (either temporarily or "permanently"), or sometimes give you some money or consumables. That's all the relics do, which I've unlocked in 4.5h of play, even rare and legendary relics. Consumables give you the same effects (i.e. influencing the 2 scoring numbers or money) or give you a re-roll. Compared to relics in StS and jokers in Balatro, I'm missing a stronger impact of relics on how I play the game.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As someone who never played Balatro, let alone learned the rules of Poker or Yahtzee before this game, it was incredibly easy to pick up and learn. The runs are each very fast, about an hour each for me, which adds to its addictive quality. I absolutely love the customization options and I hope there are even more to come! And I haven’t even unlocked them all yet!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Oh man, found another Balatro-like game called Pip My Dice. It's Yahtzee but with Balatro elements... It's Balahtzee!
unlabelledView post →This is actually a pretty cool game, but it has one giant problem that's so bad that I'm not going to play it anymore for the sake of my mental health. It is WAYYYYYYY too easy to accidentally click "score" when you meant to click "reroll". I was toward the end of a game, feeling confident even though the level was tough, and BAM, I accidentally clicked score instead of reroll after my first roll. Blew the whole thing. I did it again a couple days later, thought "It's too easy to make this…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →best balatrolike since balatro
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →really well polished and ran great on the steam deck, other reviews are saying balatro + dice which is true but it's definitely got its own thing going on too
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Have to be honest, I waited a long time for this game and I’m really excited that I finally get to play it as the release date is literally a day before my birthday, which is super dope. I’m still learning the ropes because I only have 47 minutes in this game and I intend to keep on trying to get better at it. With that being said, I will make a note that the tutorial is a little bit overwhelming with all of the buttons and things all at once I’m having a little bit of trouble understanding the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The "We have Balatro at home" game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is so fun. Tell all your friends about it. Deserves a way bigger playerbase... its so fun definitely balatro vibes
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Balatro but instead of poker as your base this uses yahtzee. It's very good, no idea why it isn't more popular.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →https://youtu.be/OwoqGSW1rnM Slow plodding rounds with little player interaction or decision making drags out the experience well past the interest lasts.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A Balatro rouglike deckbuilder with a Yahtzee twist -- what more can be said about the creative genius of this game? I've played Balatro and Dungeons & Degenerate Gamblers, and I am proud to say that this game offers a fresh new twist on the genre. What I love most about this game is the easy entry to get into it, yet it also gives that sweet sweet dopamine hit when taking your time to optimize each distinct run -- embodying the "easy to play, hard to master" trope. The variety in starting die…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Similar concept to Balatro. If you loved that, you'll love this game. Great variety and synergies to explore. It looks overwhelming at first, but stick with it - it'll start making sense quickly. We're having loads of fun with this game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you love big number roguelikes and just a quick easy hour or two passing game. It's perfect.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's an impossibly addictive game. Tons of variety, many different ways to play and lots of variables. The music and sound effects are fantastic as well, there's an almost hypnotic quality to the presentation. Please make an android version!!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →PipDice is the best Yahtzee themed balatro-game! Basically, it is Balatro w. Dice. Still, It is more versatile than Balatro. You have much more different ways to play. Buy It!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I tried a Balatro But Yahtzee game recently (“Pip My Dice”) and while it was mechanically engaging it was so visually inert and charmless by comparison that it made me realize half of Balatro’s charm is its aesthetic character
unlabelledView post →This game is clearly inspired by Balatro, but I greatly appreciate how the developer is innovating on the genre. There are a wide variety of Relics and starting configurations (called "Dice Cups") for replayability, but where the game really shines is in the dice customization mechanics. On every die that you acquire during a run, you can customize the die by: (1) Painting the die which provides a passive bonus to the whole die; (2) Adjusting the numbers on each of the faces; and (3) Adding…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simple, Smart, and Addictive. If this was on my phone I'd never stop playing.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you enjoyed Balatro you should be able to like this. Lot's of fun trying to craft dice to make powerful Yahtzee combos.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →roll them dice!!! hell yeah
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →When first getting this I thought it would be similar to Balatro, but was highly surprised to see a completely different take in the "gambling roguelike" genre. Die painting is such a clever and unique mechanic, and I cant wait to see more updates from the devs After 9.5 hours, I've achieved a sweet victory. The amount of detail to everything is insane The game crashed after I lost for 6 hrs straight. 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Kinda torn on this right now, had been eagerly waiting for it to release and thought the demo was great... but the demo played significantly smoother on steam deck than this does, to the point I've almost considered returning it. If you're on PC, I don't think you'll have any issues, but if you're on steam deck, you might want to wait until it says "verified".
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A quite enjoyable dicegame. While it shares many qualities with Roll Five, i feel it well stands out on its own. I rate it 7/10 so far. But I am sure it will be well polished over time.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this is it! . well, . because/since inevitable comparisons with balatro, my only criticism is that how modest it feels in comparison . go over the top, don't be shy . I know I can, but here it's so much more constrained
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I generally don't leave reviews, but there are some frustrating issues with Pip My Dice that I wish I had known about before playing... particularly for anyone who cares about achievements or plans to play on Steam Deck. I wanted to share my experience so other players can make an informed decision. Overall, Pip My Dice is a well-designed roguelike with a fun premise. It's essentially "Balatro, but dice". The aesthetics are great, the core mechanics are enjoyable, and the game balance is…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →AMAZING GAME, there are so many combinations to do and the runs feel so different from one another. Been here for a lot of the development, i have 100 hours on the beta itself, and the game improved so so much, <3
