What truly matters is the experience and emotions you feel during that time, and in that regard, this game feels like reading a truly wonderful storybook.

unlabelledView post →Pinstripe is a very short, flawed and superficial game. To make such a small and barren game, it took them 5 years and a kickstarter budget of $ 106,000 ?? Really? The art is beautiful, the developer wanted to make something Tim Burton-esque, but that is all there is to this game. All style and no substance. The combat and platforming are the typical run-of-the-mill you can find on free websites (Newsground or itchio). Their absence wouldn't be missed. Trivial. The puzzle design is highly…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It is a decent game but I do care about my achievements and this is extremely broken on here, it took me 6 play throughs to get all but one achievement even though I completed each several times. You need to constantly verify game files but it doesn't always work. The only achievement I don't yet have I have executed 5 times but each time it fails to give it to me. If you care about achievements DON'T BUY it will only severely frustrate you....
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The announced attendance for the 2024 Pinstripe Bowl (30,062) is the smallest (non COVID season) crowd to watch a Nebraska Football game since a December 1971 game at Hawaii (23,002).
unlabelledView post →The game is fine. Feels like a high budget flash game (which is precisely the point) which overuses fart noises for no reason. The fact that the achievements are broken for a game this old shows a lack of care for a crowdfunded game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I appreciate how Northwestern played that football game as if it had me personally in mind and knows I would prefer a trip to the Pinstripe Bowl over the Rate Bowl

unlabelledView post →For a game billed as an "atmospheric" journey through hell to rescue your daughter, this game has a frankly jarring amount of middle school boy humour. Puzzles are unintuitive to the point where I had to look up the official walkthrough (written), but what really got me to quit and refund was the point in the guide where it told you to backtrack through the first half of the game to money grind. Except you took a classic one-way hop on moving blocks trip to get to the Pissward Falls (not making…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Holy cow, what a great game. I enjoyed the design, the music, the game play and how it was all packaged together. Thank you devs for this experience. I finished the game and then immediately ran through it again. Such a gem and it's silly how good of a deal it is on sale. Multiple unlocks (with 2nd play) and there are multiple endings. Such a treat. Thank you.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really nice looking game that is let down by all the forced backtracking and stupid fart sounds everywhere! Was that really even funny back in 2017?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Good artstyle and great music. Though the games lacks in terms of gameplay. The puzzles sometimes are rather annyoing, as you have to spend more time finding the puzzle than solving it. One can clearly see, that the game was made by someone new to gamedev, as the perspective of a new player is not considered. Also the game sometimes freezes or crashes for me for some reason. The constant farts and burps in this game are just terrible. Feels like a 10year old made this. Unfortunatly not a game…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pinstripe, developed by Atmos Games and published by Armor Games Studios, is a strikingly personal creation that feels more like an illustrated fable than a conventional platformer. Created almost entirely by solo developer Thomas Brush, the game is a dark, dreamlike journey through grief, loss, and redemption, presented through a surreal and beautifully melancholy lens. You play as Ted, a former clergyman traveling through a frozen purgatory in search of his kidnapped daughter, Bo. Her…

unlabelledView post →I still maintain that the funniest thing that UNC could do is finish this year 6-7 with a loss to Illinois in the Pinstripe Bowl, go 9-4 next year and beat Iowa State in the Poptart Bowl, then go 5-7 and miss a bowl game completely.
unlabelledView post →I really wanted to love this game, but sadly, I did not. It was very buggy for me, the achievements didn't register until the last 30 mins so I missed out on a lot. The game itself is very nice, the animation is great, the voice acting and overall atmosphere was nice. Great storyline and huge potential but it fell quite flat and short. The combat is non-existent and so are the puzzles. It just never clicked with me, it wasn't fun and it just felt empty. Did not get that feeling of…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I so badly want to press thumbs up, I really do. But I can't due to two major issues: 1) I played the game on my Steam Deck using an Xbox controller and it did not work. The aim would shake, almost like it thought I was using a mouse, and the examine window would open all the time. Whenever that opens, the current view resets making it impossible to complete puzzles. 2) In the end, there is a very far fetched puzzle involving a clock. Even after consulting a guide I thought to myself "Oh,…

The textures are broken and sometimes you will disappear, or half of you will disappear, or the enemies will s disappear, or the enemy attacks will disappear, or the environment will disappear, or multiples of the above will all disappear at once. Sometimes you will just lose the ability to use your weapon at all, especially in the final boss encounter. That one happened to me multiple times while trying to play this game. You will have to repair the game…

Price point was the what tipped the scale for me to not recommend. A grain of sand in the desert of gaming. (long version) Pinstripe is a dark atmospheric game that has a…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I think the artwork is very cohesive, but in general I found the gameplay to be fairly lackluster and the story to be fairly heavy-handed. I know I'm in the minority for disliking this game - it definitely has received accolades stating the opposite.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I paid €1.47 for this game and it is definitely worth it. I would never pay full price, it is finished quickly. Graphically it's not too bad, it's nothing special but it's good for what it needs to be. The audio is also good. In terms of gameplay, you are mainly solving puzzles. The story is also very good. All in all, the price I paid for it is worth the game.

Getting there wouldn't be easy and Teddy has to navigate through the hell, fight off hordes of enemies, and operate various machines to be able to progress. He won't be all alone though as his daughter's dog George will be his trustworthy companion. There are also many other souls suffering in their own inferno. Some of them will help him directly,…

Start off with the simple, then slowly intoduce them on how you have designed your puzzles. Introducing unorthodox puzzle solving in the first few minutes is never a good idea, especially if you have designed your puzzles with controller in mind, and not keyboard and mouse.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fantastic puzzle platformer with an absolutely beautiful story. The integration of game actions into the ending is wonderful. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The art style is really pretty, and some of the puzzles are fun to solve. But I got lost a lot and had to backtrack without knowing what to do, plus there are some annoying bugs. Still, it’s cozy and nice in its own way. Overall, 6/10.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Overall this is a good game with a cool story, nice puzzles and varied game play to keep you from getting bored. The art style is pretty, but doesn't seem quite cohesive. some things just feel out of place, like the mushrooms, the dogs voice. the dialog is also quirky but not always in the right way. also the replay of the whole game seems unnecessary for unlocking everything. I would say get this game, i give it an 8/10. could be 9/10 with a few tweaks

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you like Tim Burton, platformers, not so easy puzzles and maybe Over The Garden Wall. This is for you. It is short, but it is fun. It reminds me stylistically to Guacamelee a bit and the mood to Pid other good games that are here on Steam :)

When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simple and ok game, that renders more on the atmospheric. It's pretty short, and there's only some replay value in order to 100% the game. Was only really annoyed because of some bugged achievements, despite this being a known problem for over 6 years. So annoyed that I'm currently giving this one a negative review, given that it's score is high enough.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pinstripe is a beautifully designed indie game with a unique atmosphere and intriguing story. The game follows the journey of ex-minister Teddy, who is searching for his daughter in a mysterious underworld called Purgatory. The art style of the game is stunning, with hand-drawn graphics and a dark color palette that perfectly captures the eerie and melancholic tone of the story. The music and sound design also add to the game's atmosphere, creating a haunting and immersive experience. The…
