60 of 185 · most liked firstFirst impressions... I will recommend this game as a quick and easy, very wholesome intro to Yuri/WLW visual novels. The story is cute, if not predictable, and the game art is cozy. I was left wishing for a bit more depth of story, as the plot felt redundant and downright corny a lot of the time. However, it was the game art that kept me going. The cutscenes were really lovely. Additionally, whoever did the voice acting for Audrey's character...please consider narrating audiobooks because…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Perfect Gold is a romantic/Slice-of-Life VN. Although I'm really not into Slice-of-Life Visual Novels I really enjoyed Perfect Gold. The main reasons where: - ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS looking game. I mean the artwork is just GORGEOUS, beautiful, and I could go on and on and on about it. My hats off to Ryuu the lead Artist. I am sure that her career will take off with this kind of quality of work I'm sure she will be busy for a long time to come with job offers left and right. - SUPERB Voice…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →to start off this review, thank you so much to my steam bestie... without your gift i would have never started playing this gem and started to fangirl for this couple (which is a good thing because i am deprived of good WLW visual novel games that gives me fluttering feelings)!ヾ(≧▽≦*)o definitely check this game out if you're a fan of these mangas and animes: - The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young Lady (magirevo for short) - I'm in Love with the Villainess -…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →10/10 This yuri visual novel is genuinely so sweet. I found myself constantly on the verge of tearing up from how moving it was, and also wanting to scream because of how sweet everything is. If you’re still here reading reviews to decide whether to buy it—stop. Just buy it. Audrey and Marion are both incredibly lovely in their own ways. They try to navigate the differences in who they are and where they stand in life, each of them flawed, stubborn, and painfully sincere. That’s exactly…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fire is the stars we look up to at night, giving us hope, guiding our way. Story In the city of Castlecoast, magic and alchemy are used for many things and there is a college where students can learn about them. Audrey Clary, an alchemy student and Marion LeRue, a rebellious elemental magic student don’t really get along. One day they got into a fight and they both had to go to detention. However, Marion was not going to sit around because the Sunflower Festival was going on and she had…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Perfect Gold: The Alchemy of Happiness Two young girls from wildly different backgrounds meet and fall in love at the magical academy LeFay, a school for those seeking and pursuing the art of alchemy, healing, and controlling the elements. Audrey Clarey is a heiress who has always lived in the city of Castlecoast, her family famous for their transmutations into gold; while Marion LaRue is a rebellious girl from Doveport, a small town near the sea, seeking to hone her fire elemental abilities…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →10/10 experience, it should cost more than it does, and I'm a bit confused about the sexual content tag when there was no sexual content in the game at all?
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm a bit conflicted... On one hand the the story is ok, the characters likeable, art is nice to look at and the music is nice to listen to. On the other hand, the way it's presented, with constant switches in the chapters between reminiscing and character POVs made it rather confusing... All in all rather OK experience, nothing extraordinary. (side note: don't believe the NSFW tags: the most explicit thing shown or talked about is kissing)

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played this offline so my game hours will not reflect properly. This is actually a super sweet story, voice-acted and gorgeous artistry. It's about two girls and their realizing what they want and don't want. I only found the two routes, would of loved a MUCH longer game, it was so sweet. Achievements are easy to get and happen as you progress, if that's your sort of deal :) I don't want to spoil the story, so I won't say too much, I recommend it though.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Perfect Gold is a super refined visual novel. The UI is the best I have ever seen and the graphics were just perfect. Most of the lines are voiced by voice actors too and they absolutely killed it. The story was pretty cute as well and the soundtrack was nice. I really like how this visual novel made, it felt luxurious and you can tell that a lot of effort has been put into this game. Definitely recommended!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →short and sweet story around 2-4hours of gameplay, pleasent music, beautiful art and very nice voice acting
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A short and extremely cute story. Loved it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really cute and heartwarming visual novel. Both main charscters are pretty well written, and being able to play both of them and therefore seing both sides of the story/conflict worked perfectly for this. Its also fully voice acted in English! And the voice acting is really really good too. If you like romance stories and dont want to immediatly jump into a long visual novel but a more compact experience this is PERFECT for you!

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really wish I enjoyed this game, but unfortunately it just was not in the cards for me. I read it with a friend and after finishing the prologue, we both said "wow, that was neat. I hope things go somewhere interesting from here" and unfortunately it just.... didn't. I understand the conflict, but I just didn't resonate with it at all, and the rapid pingponging between the present day and a year and a half ago was just tiring to read. The second something interesting happened in the present,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Perfect Gold is a short but thoughtfully crafted visual novel that blends gentle romance, youthful longing, and a dash of magic into an intimate coming-of-age story. Developed and published by Yangyang Mobile, the game delivers a polished narrative experience set within the enchanting city of Castlecoast, where alchemy and elemental magic coexist with ordinary student life. While its runtime is modest, the emotional weight of its characters, the warmth of its presentation, and the sincerity of…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wasn't expecting too much from this when I bought it, other than it would be a cute little story. I was actually surprised by how well done it was from the backgrounds and art to the voice acting! (especially Audrey). While you don't get to do much other than make a few choices, I found myself finishing it in one sitting! 10/10 would play again <3
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really do think this is a good VN, but the wasted potential makes me not recommend it. It is WAY TOO FAST! Everything is happening too quickly and the game gives us no time to get to know the world and the characters. They also jump between the past and present constantly, but it is so fast that it is hard to keep track of what is happening. If they kept a good pacing and made time to flesh out the story properly, this could have been great. Now it's like reading a prototype. It's such a…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Awwww, thats cute. Short and sweet story with great voice acting.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A cute visual novel. It's fairly short but also small priced, if you like yuri stuff, it's a nice experience. Story is kinda classic romance with pretty common modern tropes, it does the job. The visuals are stunning, and the animation interstellar, making the VN very lively with characters animations, gorgeous special scenes, and even moving objects part of the decorations. Recommended.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A super sweet and wholesome visual novel, full of happiness, love, drama and even some sadness. It's well written with good voice acting, and a fitting soundtrack as well. I also love the art style, I think its super cute. This has probably been one of my favourite visual novels in recent memory. I think its well worth the price. If I had to say one bad thing about this game it might be that the time jumps to past and present might've happened to often because how short some chapters were. Its…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"It's never too late to work on those arsonist tendencies." Marion LaRue, 2021. Okay, serious review time now. Perfect Gold is that so very rare visual novel that I feel I can truly recommend to anyone and everyone. It (in my non-completionist experience) avoids visual novel anxieties over bad ends. It avoids the stereotypically "weird anime" tropes that hamper the average experience and make some difficult to recommend. Its length, while a bit shorter than I'd like, still fills a majority…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →YURI MANGA INCARNATION Perfect Gold feels like a playable version of the most basic yuri romance manga that you can find - and I'm saying it in a positive way. Sometimes, you need a good dose of something positive and fluffy in your life. Perfect Gold does exactly that. It's a short game (max 2h) about love. Nothing less, nothing more. Story As I said in the beginning, the story is really simple. It's basically the most basic version of the "enemies to lovers" trope, where everything is…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The characters and environments in this game look amazing. This is a sweet and wholesome yuri game that's worth your time and money. Yuri is love, yuri is life. <3
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A very cute and well made VN, on the shorter side but the amazing vocal performances make it worth every penny.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very cute visual novel that I read through in the morning. Voice acting was a good job and the story was cute, really liked the backgrounds and character designs!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just...meh. The romance doesn't feel earned, and it's VERY short. The story also jumps around between different points in time and it can be a little hard to follow.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Perfect gold is a short and sweet experience that manages to peak extremely high with endearing characters, sharp dialogue and a plot that gets you invested in its first 3 chapters. It has a great structure that weaves past and present, which makes you want to know more about how it is that Audrey and Marion broke up and how they will rekindle their relationship. Regardless, it is in Perfect Gold's strenghts that its weak points are revealed, and they are almost as big. First of all, Perfect…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Perfect Gold is an adorable visual novel with a few choices (but not many). It is more about the story itself and less about one's control over the narrative. Importantly to this review, I greatly enjoyed this story. The characters and their choices feel real to me. Their pain and anger is understandable, and while the story follows a classic trope (love of one with different social standing), it was done in a way that felt fresh and new to me. The voice acting was engaging. I enjoyed the…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very cute visual novel, big recommendation. Great art and nice voice acting, it's a short read but absolutely worth checking out.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Might be good but I'll never know because of the awful English used (ex: "cos" instead of "because").
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love this game sm there aren't many games like this with such beautiful characters, story, music, art style, and the list goes on plus YURIFICATION is at hand
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The sex scene is really good.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The artstyle is gorgeous, this mix of 2d and 3d, how immersive the universe is, how good the voices fit the characters... yeah, this is a bit of a sugarcoatted romance, but I love how it managed to add layer to its characters, to make such a good coming of age story in such a short span ! It's refreshing to see genuine wlw love stories, only about LOVE, without this hyper-sexualisation of women in yuri. Proof that yuri, when made properly and caring about its characters, can deliver wonderful…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Cute game! The beginning was a little confusing, going back and forth between the past and the present, but once I got the full picture it was pretty easy to piece everything together. It isn't super long, so I'd recommend it if you've got an afternoon to kill.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I will admit it made me cry multiple times. Not difficult to do but this is a real great one. So glad I played it. Probably will end up replaying it in a few years to see them again
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This Visual Novel was incredible! I love the story and how relatable the main characters were! It's so cute and heartwarming! I was tearing up pretty much the last 6-7 chapters! If you're into Yuri VNs, this is a MUST!

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Like every other YangYang game, it was a very good looking, high production game, with great looking sprites, some nice music and some good voice acting. The switching between protag every so often was an interesting (and in my opinion, slightly meh/bad) choice, although made me feel like the options weren't as impactful since I was both of them technically. The story itself is good I'd say, Audrey not having much of a backbone was too frustrating at times and brought down how I felt about…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Short VN with great visuals at a very fair price point. Too many choices when there is only one ending, I refuse to accept the validity of a path where Marion doesn't get her way.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →GIRLS KISSING!!!!!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A lovely story featuring two girls navigating their own feelings and honestly kind of underrated, in my opinion. I cried a bit playing this, the writing really spoke to me.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A nice short escape from reality.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I loved it! It was so cute. Just the right amount of drama and tender, sweet moments. I kinda don't wanna go for the bad ending now cause it was just the best. Really recommend if you love yuri. Also yay for the nonbinary representation! It was gorgeously animated, warm and enchanting to look at. The artwork is really beautiful, chill music, just so thoughtfully created. Seriously cute.
