positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"If there was a robot that could laugh, cry, and smile... does it have a soul?" Spoiler free review! I picked up Lucy -The Eternity She Wished For- during Steam's Visual Novel Fest not really knowing what to expect. It looked interesting, so I thought "Why not?" by the time I finished it, I was just sitting there, staring at the screen, trying to process what I just experienced. This game really got to me. It’s one of those VNs that make you think about things differently about emotions, about…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's an endearing and emotional visual novel about a boy who finds an abandoned android, seemingly left for scrap in a junkyard, and discovers there is far more to her than a simple robot. Story is emotional so be ready for some tears. The production quality, music, and design is OK for a small scale visual novel. But that's pretty much it, I found the story pretty predictable and boring but that's just for me, there's no telling if you would like it. So go ahead and try it out! I will give…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lucy -The Eternity She Wished For- is an emotional visual novel of meeting and android and life takes shape from there. The story was rather short but there were multiple endings to supplement its story. The soundtrack and atmosphere were decent as well. I enjoyed this game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Being a visual novel as old as it is, it's quite shocking the look it gives into an ever approaching reality 15 years later. Lucy -The Eternity She Wished For- has undoubtedly impacted my life more than any piece of media I've consumed. This story is more than a short romance between human and robot. It's a philosophical masterpiece that's brought closure to my comprehension of existence and the soul. I felt so connected to this VN that I couldn't stomach backtracking for different endings and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty good choice driven VN. Personally I preferred the Japanese Voice acting to the Korean. I couldn't even connect with the Korean one for some reason. It has very nice artwork for Lucy. And the story is also philosophical at times. But even though it's a pretty good VN I can't say it's amazing. For me it just wasn't in the amazing category like The House in Fata Morgana, Higurashi, Umineko, Zero Escape trilogy, A.I. The Somnium Files, and Nirvana Initiative. But It was good enough…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I dont really like visual novels, but im not afraid to admit it made me cry, and im feeling that postgame depression, if that happens its a good game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Thought it was clanker propaganda but turned out to be wholesome kino.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If robots were made to have feelings, how do we draw the line between human and robots? Just our appearance? What is inside? Our memories? Humans might keep telling themselves they are just robots, but what would the robots themselves think? It is real for them, is it really just fine to see them as tincans that follow our orders and made to do work? Humans can be very well terrified that robots/androids can become close ro resembling humans, so it will be natural that we tell themselves they…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →"Lucy - The Eternity She Wished For" is a great Science Fiction Visual Novel that takes us to a near future, where the humans have created robots for their own benefit and comfort. Just for setting the example, is very similar to what happens in "Detroit Become Human". By the way I do not mean anything negative by that, I was just making an example so it would be easier to understand :) The lenght of this Visual Novel is indeed kinda short but don't worry, this is about quality and not…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →did not resonate as much as i wish it did, seeing everyone elses reviews. profoundly mediocre
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The length Lucy was willing to go just to keep her promise... I didn't think I would cry, but, at that moment, I did. If characters on my screen can make me feel the things I do, then for sure, an android like Lucy would have a soul.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've been playing short visual novels lately, and I like this one! The story is heartwarming. If you liked ATRI, I think you'll like this one too!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Truly an amazing experience, one of the best VNs I've ever played. I wish I could play it again for the first time...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →With only two weeks left until the 10th anniversary of "Lucy -The Eternity She Wished For-" arriving on steam, I can't help but find myself coming back to this game at least once every year around Valentine's day. It's become something of an annual ritual for me to come back and reexperience the game that fundamentally changed how I view not just people, but the world as a whole. "Lucy -The Eternity She Wished For-" is a giant philosophical question disguised as a visual novel, and it does…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →seeing the extreme possitive feedback on the shop i was expecting alot more. the whole story feels very bland and the male protagonist is extremely boring and anti social for no real reason in almost all scenes. almost all ingame choices are ether "be a total douche" or "do the social norm/human thing" and then they affect the story for like 3 text boxes and then its back to it beeing irrelevant what you chose (only the last one matters). im also not a fan of the "oldstyle" visual style. felt…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lucy is a good visual novel, but I wouldn't say it's one of the best. The story itself is solid, and there's a few great moments throughout. The characters are generally well-written (the main character was perfectly fine, I didn't see him as too unlikable or anything), and the pacing is good. However, there's one thing dragging it down, which is that it feels like getting the story's message across was top priority, to the point it ended up feeling distracting and taking me out of the…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Simply one of the best VN's I've ever read through, I actually read the whole thing in a single sitting and did some of the extras too, I was really into it and it made me emotional and on the verge of tears in some parts. It's really bittersweet... I'd 100% recommend it.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I got this game as a gift from a friend and I am disappointed. Lucy (the android) is written exactly as a slave teen girl, with no Independence, falling in love with her master (the teenage protag who often makes cutting comments about her) She has no self worth and is selfless to a fault, honestly I feel bad for her being in this game, she deserves better than to be an sexy slave to the teen. At one point, the teenager protagonist hits her on the head for doing something he didn't like, and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've been out of the visual novel scene for quite some time, but I picked this one up due to the overwhelming positive reviews and the fact that it was on a 60% sale (so only costing $4). There's a mixture of good and bad things about this particular visual novel. The two bad things I can say about this visual novel mostly tie in together; the relative short length of the story does the game a bit of a disservice, primarily because the characters can definitely seem like they're very rushed in…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Only good part was the quote from the movie "I, Robot".
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lucy -The Eternity She Wished For- is a visual novel developed by Modern Visual Arts Laboratory and SEO INSEOK, published by Modern Visual Arts Laboratory, that delivers a deeply emotional and contemplative narrative experience. The game centers around themes of love, loss, and the passage of time, weaving a story that is as much about memory and regret as it is about hope and connection. It stands out in the visual novel genre through its mature storytelling, poignant character development,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →✅ Beautiful short story emotional VN game, deeply explores and makes you ponder the consequences of realistic robot who look and behave the same as a human. Well worth playing ✅ Great soundtracks ❌ Locked at 720p ❌ Has ingame achievements but no Steam achievements ❌ No cloud save
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Put a tear to my eyes, can't believe the references are still relatable even now. Still as good as I remembered, personal stamp of approval
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Messy writing and sub-par translation aside, this novel was still overall enjoyable. If you like android stories, this one will do absolutely nothing you haven't seen before in other, better media, but it does the common tropes well enough to be decent. I do wish the game delved more deeply into the philosophy of humanity and the ethics of robotics significantly more than it does--it really just likes to bring up questions like "what makes us human?" and "are androids capable of true emotions?"…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Played this game like 3 or 4 years ago. Pick it up again because I remember it being a really good story. I still cried at the end even knowing what happens. Genuinely great story. Nothing else to say really.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Absolutely one of the best visual novels i knew and played. The reason why i love this visual novel is because the story telling to us about the character who is falling in love with robot (Lucy) and of course because she is not a human like main character but a robot there will be a drama which i again enjoyed a lot.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You get 6 hours of playtime for one of two endings (getting the other ending shouldn't take that much more time because you basically just need to change one choice) and getting the all achievements is quite fun. The story is quite well written. It's a story about boy hates androids but then gets closer to (and falls in love with?) an android. Definitely not the only story to have this kind of story line but this game does it in quite a charming way.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This novel was so beautiful. It was one of those novels that you're happy you spent a couple bucks on and experienced. Even four years later I still have fond feelings for the narrative. 10/10
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My first Visual Novel that i actually played it was ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ beautiful this is why i got interested in reading visual novels. i hope i get to read more visual novels like this in the future.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A good and short Visual novel (6-7 hours in total with all different endings) with nice graphics and a decent sound compartment. The emotional story throws at you interesting questions, but I would have liked to see more complexity in the father character. I found him a bit mono-dimensional. Despite that, Lucy is well worth the time spent on it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Ta bueno para aprender japonés
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Another story about a human boy and a robot girl. Like Atri-my dear moments and Planetaria. The common feature of these stories is that they are all sad, but overall Lucy-The eternity she wished for is more light-hearted.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If I had to explain this VN into just one word, it'd be: Beautiful.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Plastic Memories: The game Jokes aside, its an amazing and emotional game, if you like visual novels i suggest you give it a try.

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This VN taught me not to trust "Overwhelmingly Positive" on Steam
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had to stop playing because of the orful ignorant/dum protagonist.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An absolutely fantastic story with multiple heart wrenching moments at the end.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The last time I remembered crying this much was when I watched Clannad, Ano Hana, Angel Beats, and AirTV. This is a Masterpiece, I never thought I'd get this experience for it's price right now. I've only known about this VN yesterday and bought it on a whim since it was on discount and boy I'm glad I did. Thank you developers for this wonderful read.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →QT-1 It’s too stereotypical for me. The name Lucy with all the connotations or flashing the Asimov’s three rights of robotics right there at the start. I’ve always been impressed how much he was able to convey with these three basic statements, but that was back in 1950 and now is now. Then, there’s the protagonist who is prejudiced against robots and finds the titular Lucy discarded on the scrapyard. He obviously, and despite his repeatedly proclaimed distrust for robots, takes Lucy home, she…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Damn... This was lovely. I really enjoyed it. The tears really hit when the credits rolled tho. I also didn't see the twist with the Doctor coming! The true ending and the reunion extra really made me happy. I recommend the game, but you really have to go and explore all the possibilities to get the most out of it.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →As a visual novel lover, i really liked the game. Is not short or long, is in the middle. What i loved about the game most is the details within the narrative, simple details, and how the game shows that humans are not the only thing that can be important for somoane, somtimes people just see the humanity as the center of the universe, but like the MC, a robot could make him be somoane and live his life back from sadness. And actually, I LOVED THE PLOT.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really like this simple story, though it's short and doesn't make any change of somebody or world, just tell a emotional story and make me almost cry
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An absolute, true Masterpiece of Art. 10/10.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In 2050, the world's technology is advancing and androids are common place in society as personal helpers...and the protagonist hates it. He hates the world's advancing technology and doesn't understand why people are so fascinated by androids. So he surprises himself when he comes across an android in the trash and decides to take it home. As he slowly adjusts to the constant companionship of his new android, his worldview begins to change and he begins to realise that perhaps androids aren't…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Damn..... This game was amazing, never thought i would be so touched from an game...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very good VN, simillar to ATRI -My Dear Moments- but much less heartbreaking. Can certainly recommend.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Lovely game overall! The story is rather simple but emotional and entertaining with fun characters and mostly great writing, especially I find that the conflicts are vastly well-written. I additionally think it was a nice choice to make a futuristic setting without going far with the sci-fi elements (aside from robots), it made the story feel quite casual and realistic. The art (especially the CGs) is gorgeous and I really enjoyed the music! The UI is also very pleasant and I liked the in-game…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's like a short novel, but the story is very touching, about how different Lucy was and whether robots really have feelings, including the conflict between the father and son. Just that going through the whole story needs time and patience. There is not only one ending and many achievements so be sure to save before making choices, oh god I forgot to save, so I have to replay and choose the different options than the ones I've choose before, to see a different ending.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very nice and touching game. It isn't less relevant in 2024. Maybe even more than at release. Be wary of people. But hold on to good people whoever/whatever they are.
