Once again, Steam has no business offering games for sale that do not work out of the box. I don't care how long ago the game was released, if it generally requires the bulk of the players to finesse a bunch of files around and MAYBE it will run, is BS and not a pro-consumer. Also set game to run in windows 7 compatibility (also in properties). Then pick the lowest resolution when the game asks you to pick said resolution. this combination should work. Things I wish I knew before starting: Save your routes constantly if your captain is killed in combat the route goes with him. Save your game often *manually* the game will in my experience periodically crash and corrupt the auto save. Look up a guide / read the manual (it's still online somewhere google it).
