Polar opposite horror styles but had so much fun watching each film at the movie theater when they came out.

unlabelledView post →Second movie of the night, Paranormal Activity 3! My favourite of the sequels, though you've really with these (in the timeline of the films) nearly 20 year old VHS home videoes being both pristine and shot in HD widesceeen in 1988.
unlabelledView post →Ever watched a film, years later, and realize you missed a detail that explains something that seemed arbitrary? Currently rewatching Paranormal Activity 3. The part where the babysitter jumps due to a loud noise had something else I never caught: The ghost fucks with her blouse! I never noticed.

Paranormal Activity 3 has the lowest North American total for a $50+ million opener with a $104 million finish

unlabelledView post →Seeing the reaction during Avengers at midnight when Thanos appeared in the post-credit, or watching people jump at a packed screening of Paranormal Activity 3… these are the awesome things the theatrical model gives us, and watching a movie on streaming alone with commercial breaks can’t beat that.
unlabelledView post →Weird, the directors of the Weezer movie (they also did Nerve and Paranormal Activity 3 and 4) are also attached to that live action Netflix Mega Man movie? Life sure is a rich tapestry
unlabelledView post →Movie #17: Paranormal Activity 3 (2011) The perfect prequel! Set in 1988, this chapter fully reveals the roots of the curse, showing 'Tobi's first appearance to young Katie and Kristi. It gives the series the deep lore it needed. A solid, scary origin story. #31DaysOfHorror #HalloweenMarathon
unlabelledView post →Yeah, the series went off the rails and got real lazy after this, and I know these movies have their detractors, but PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 3 rules. It's the film equivalent of sitting in a closet with your sibling and telling spooky stories with a flashlight.
unlabelledView post →Finally watched Paranormal Activity 3. I still think the first movie is the scariest in terms of the overall story, but 3's ending is much scarier than the first's. I was so squeamish and uneasy! 😬 I just had issues with the many jumpscares for the 3rd film
unlabelledView post →PARANORMAL ACTIVITY 3 is particularly home movie-centric as well. Have you considered THE WNUF HALLOWEEN SPECIAL? It’s not entirely a home movie but it is a VHS recorded off of live TV and there is a big home movie element at the end of the “tape.”

unlabelledView post →As Army of Darkness and Nightmare 3 have been mentioned, I need to shoutout Paranormal Activity 3 (which is imo the best movie in the series)
unlabelledView post →Movie #7: Henry Joost & Ariel Schulman's #ParanormalActivity 3: I think the approach of being a prequel. memorable haunts and some strong kid actors, does put it a step above 2, maybe even 1, just still does feel dragged down by the confines of the series' structure. My ⭐⭐⭐review

unlabelledView post →Blue Sky, I am once again asking that you acknowledge Paranormal Activity 3 as the quintessential Paranormal Activity movie. (re-watched last night and genuinely jumped a few times)

positive · AI labelView post →Paranormal Activity 3 is a faithful continuation of the series, delivering all the expected horrors and more. Colour me surprised. This one was better than the second, and I enjoyed it more than the first one. The atmosphere of “Paranormal Activity 3” is similar to the first film, and the larger cast delivers respectable performances. The scares might not be as effective as they once were since the same formula is becoming stale, but a handful of fresh ideas were good enough to compensate for…
positive · AI labelView post →A tad better than the first if only because at 84-minutes there's not as much filler and a couple creepy scenes. Still not great with forgettable characters but at least watchable, although it was a bridge too far with the HD-quality level of video for a camera from 1988. 2.5/5
