negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →unfinished story and no more updates. get ur refund if u just bought this game and never purchase from this developer!
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game has some great ideas but still feels like a beta on many ends with several balance issues and serious bugs. Despite this, the devs abandoned the game. Apparently they did that to their next project as well.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It could be a good game at the end... but it's just become abandoned and is not developed any further. It feels unfinished and there are bugged (impossible to obtain) achievements. If someone would do me a favor and tell me this before I bought it - I wouldn't buy it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →really potential game, but developer abandon this, dont buy
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →You can have a few minutes/hours of fun with this, but it's basically dead.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Abandoned game, stay away
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Another abandonware, stay away They've updated it after FOUR years!!!! Now i'ts worth buying again ^^
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game was promising, but it has been abandoned without a word. ♥♥♥♥ these devs.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A really fun and unique game that was abandoned. It needed a ton more content to make it worth it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →strait up abandonware that dost even load anymore. if it loaded, the game as is is worth playing. but unless/until it actually gets fixed don't touch it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it was a great game discovery but lacks a lot of content and according to other reviews, it was abandoned
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Overdungeon is strange as Slay the Spire-style deckbuilders go, because on one hand, the game balance is completely insane and there's so many ways to shoot off to infinite power that only a few of the optional challenge modes are actually difficult in the sense that you'll be at risk of losing, rather than of just getting less than a perfect victory. On the other hand, it's still really fun to play through, because the real-time system where your summons are visually represented and move…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Sadly I cant recommend this game.. As others already have stated its too easy yet not much going on.. I do hope the game will get better in the future. I like deck builders/roguelike games. This one I would describe as goofy which can be fun as well, seeing all your animals (chickens, alpacas, dogs etc) swarming the enemy. I like the concept.. its sadly poorly executed. The game is too easy to play, you dont have to read the cards or think what to do.. its just spam to win.. there are 3…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pocketpair's Overdungeon card game gets a Switch release!
unlabelledView post →It needs some balancing, quite badly really. but it's still great fun. it's like a much much less serious slay the spire. If you want a tense strategy and decision making experience StS would be more your speed. If you want to build mad combos in a thing with a exponential power curve which will have you throwing hundreds of Elephants, apacas and chickens in the face of an evil gribbly to grind it under your very very anime boot. Yeah. Absolutely worth the price.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Deleted 150 hours of progress
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This was a cool game that seems like it had a ton of potential then wasted it on two things: Firstly, it has real time aspects that it shouldn't have. It gives the game an unneeded level of stress and anxiety that takes away from whatever strategy aspects it was trying to create. Secondly: Slay the Spire is a good game. Not every game needs to be Slay the Spire. This game should have looked into improving itself as a card-based auto battler and added mechanics for multiplayer and card…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Glad to know that the devs have returned to this game and releasing quality updates ❤️❤️❤️ keep it up guys!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great game, I had fun. But the developer abandoned it, only buy when on sales Edit in 2023: Developer suddenly return. Lets see how this goes...
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I friggin love this stupid game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Abandoned game, dont buy
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game burns fast and bright. Solid fun for about 2 hours before you get exhausted by the sheer madness of it. This game definitely has depth, but the active combat itself doesn't add much. I found that 90% my strategy was in my first hand. Afterwards, I just spammed cards with just a touch of strategy. That's fine and all and it creates a very hectic experience, but it leaves me questioning the intention of it. I would've liked to see hard pauses between rounds so I could take a little…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I bought this game, full price, $15. I beat this game in its entirety 7 times. I have three hours in this game. I played on the hardest difficulty. I played with all the different 'classes' and even on some of the novelty modes. This game is easy, content-lite, and over far too quickly. I like what it is. I like the way it plays out, but it just doesn't have enough content to justify its price tag. Get it on sale for $5 and you might get a couple hours of fun out of it, if you stretch it…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Overdungeon is a hidden gem in the rogue-lite genre, for those of you who have played Slay the Spire, this game is very similar in a lot of ways. Although the limited selection of characters and base-decks can be a bit underwhelming, it's worth looking past that. This game has a unique blend of turn-based combat and real-time strategy. Your cards are activated through a turn-based system, but combat itself happens in real-time. This creates a very oppressive atmosphere where your…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →An amusing deckbuilder card battler with a dash of tower defense. Skip it if you want depth, balance, and endless replayability. If you want something silly and fun and chaotic, then check it out.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →From the guys what saw Pokemon and Ark and made Palworld, comes the game they made when they saw Slay the Spire and Clash Royale. I am 150 hours in and still finding new combos to build decks around, and that's with me only playing the one guy character 90% of the time.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Realtime card spam deckbuilding roguelike version of Clash Royale. Every battle will be the crude mess of visual effects and repeating sounds, but it is fun.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I think this is my first review ever on steam, I will try to be brief and objective. This game is fun, if you like card games like games like slay the spire, monster train or rogue like deck builders in general you will enjoy this game, now with that said this game is no master piece. So... whats good and whats bad, and what you should you know: To know: + The game itself is very straight forward you wont spend much time figuring out the mechanics of it. + The main campaign has 3 acts/stages…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not a whole lot of content and super ridiculously easy. The game has the necessary elements to be really fun but doesn't really deliver.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Overdungeon is basically if Slay the Spire was on hallucinogens. It's a game where the biggest challenge I've run into is allowing too many units on the screen at once (configurable) and causing the game to lag out from the 500 chickens I'm attempting to murder an egg with.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →you can’t be the same studio that made and sold an AI-driven art game, left it up for years, and then expect applause for saying “AI games are bad now.” if they actually meant it, they’d take AI: Art Impostor and Overdungeon down
unlabelledView post →The devs are back after a four year silence! It's a really wild and crazy roguelike. Imagine if Slay the Spire had a ton of flashing lights and things happening everywhere all the time. It's a spectacle.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The devs came back.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fantastically fun game. I massive let down because it has been abandoned. Please if some dev see's this buy the rights to this game and make it great again. It has so much potential. I want more chickens!!!!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Like most other reviewers, I've played Slay The Spire prior to picking up this game. I enjoy StS, but sometimes you just want to have a lot of fun without all the darkness and despair that StS can bring. Enter Overdungeon. This game is similar enough to StS at first (deck building, climbing multiple levels with enemies, shops, events, bosses, etc., artifacts that change how you play, etc.), but once you get into it, you realize how un-serious the game takes itself and how much it just wants…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its a pretty fun game, but it is a little broken. Pros: - Fun deck building - Crazy combos - Addictive quest mode that lets you earn perks and skills Cons: - Translation is pretty rough. It is not very clear what a lot of cards do at first glance. - Difficulty is unsatisfying - Engine has a lot of difficulty with the hundreds / thousands of units you can summon. - Blurs the line between "homage" and "rip-off" - A general lack of polish and quality of life features It's fun, but it…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →So I don't recommend this game, but it was fun for at least one time through, but that is about it. There really is just intense card spam, not too much strategy, and just literally throwing whatever you have out there and it is far too easy because of it. There is not much thinking that has to go on. For that, I can't recommend this, but if it was built upon and fleshed out, it could totally be way better and more fun for longer
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →feels really soulless
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Writing this review to say that the game was a lot of fun when I played it a long time ago, just had an update, and works just fine. Some reviews here might be out of date.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Yes, I recommend this game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0RIqQUnma0s
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →If you're expecting any kind of challenge, this isn't gonna give you one. I took a break after first playing this game after being able to refocus my expectations. Once you go through a couple runs, it starts to congeal. It's a super light, goofy, and most importantly, really mashes those dopamine receptors. It's fun to tool with the game's combos until you come upon such a massive exploit that the game starts to glitch out. As others have pointed out, it could use a lot more content, and…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Overdungeon is Noah's Ark on Roids in Another Dimension Rating: AMEOWZING! Difficulty: Purrr-fectly challenging Price: Quarter of Catnip Replayability: 9 lives+ I absolutely love this game! If you're a fan of tower defense games like Bloons and card games like Slay the Spire, this is essentially a blend of both which brings an interesting difficulty curve in that you must keep going with little time to decide on a card to be played. This means you need to know the cards well enough to…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In all earnest, one of the best card based rogue likes i have played in my life. Similar to spire but... let me put it this way: Did you ever want to build card combinations that just makes you grin your head off because you are literally breaking the game? When everything aligns, playing 800 cards on turn 1? Borderline hanging your computer because you just pulled through 300 summoned creatures all at once? This game can make you grin. Several game modes and the devs have picked up…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →interesting combat, way too easy and short. beat it in one hour on hardest difficulty. theres more characters and decks too try but meh
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →once it was dead and now it's alive Thank god the greedy corporate pig are gone
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I played this game for about 30 minutes and the game was very boring. Went on the hardest difficulty and an "Advanced" character and I beat the game... It's way too easy and I have no want to play it again. Don't recommend this game to anyone and I love card games. Stick to Slay the Spire or something like that.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →My first review i thought the game was adandoned by the DEvs and as seen below that is not the case i have rebought the game and dlc ...and i plan to play it quite a bit wish there was more male characters.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I play this game in 2022. And I speak English.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game got abandoned. Don't trust this dev. They develop something half done and then move on.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its a great concept for card battler, sad to see it hasn't been updated since 2019. Hopefully, it gets picked up by another dev.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really wish I enjoyed this game. I love the colors and the animation and the music. The animals are adorable. But I just can't get past the degree to which the same is constantly throwing Lilith's tits around everywhere. The character-selection splash art, and the "walking in profile between every combat" is really just too much. I'm a huge fan of craftopia, by the same developers, and that game shows that the developer knows how to make female characters that are fun and attractive, but…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is now a finished game with all the weird animal card battler options you need. Well done on finishing it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this is fun , good time waster , get creative with neat combos and break the game in the best way :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not the hardest roguelike deck builder but I like it since I can see a lot of interesting ways to break the game
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I dont understand how I got so involved in this game. I thought it was fun and silly, but for some reason now i legitematly like it. WHY GOD WHY!!1!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →?? / 5 . I've played a lot of card battlers. They are one of my current types of games I play. Overdungeon is the weirdest I've played. I don't really know how to evaluate it. I dislike Steam's rating system, which allows/requires only thumbs up or down. I have no idea whether this is a good game or not. The graphics seem ok, the cards seem ok, there's leveling, but the whole thing is just alien or foreign in a way I don't "get". The auto-play button is one of the many, many weird…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →a very fun game xD, an Alpaca x n! with bloodlust/rage = insane game XD
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very interesting mechanics. I loved when I got some cards combinations that literally broke the game in the most funny ways imaginable, like looping the deck and placing infinite turrets, or dealing damage cards indefinitely within the same turn. Try it, you'll have a blast!
