unlabelledView post →Giant billboard for Hirokazu Kore-eda’s ( After Life / Our Little Sister ) latest film ‘Last Scene’, apparently shot with IPhone 16 Pro. Spotted somewhere around Harajuku/Omotesando. If your haven’t seen it already, his Netflix series ‘Asura’ is shot on 35mm film and looks amazing.

unlabelledView post →Our Little Sister, as I honestly think that is an emotionally heartfelt and delightful movie that I found myself resonating to it's deep and complex themes that offer it's own interesting exploration of learning to confront our struggles of generational trauma and how they can really affect us.
unlabelledView post →The two best films I saw last month are undoubtedly Orson Welles extraordinary F For Fake and a beautiful Japanese film called Our Little Sister. Its an exquisite little bittersweet gem full of laughter and sadness that has an ultimately uplifting finale.

My Neighbor Totoro (1988) Our Little Sister (2015) Did also watch Sirat (2025), which could have been here but decided against, but a phenominal movie though.

unlabelledView post →If I was pressed for my favourite film ever, it would have to be 是枝裕和 Koreeda Hirokazu's 海街diary (Our Little Sister). I rarely rewatch films, but I watch this about once a year, and I don't think there's another film quite as beautiful and life-affirming as this. #海街diary #OurLittleSister
unlabelledView post →I love going back to movies I've seen years later and discovering biases. Makes you appreciate them more/aged like fine wine. Even happened to me with a Koreeda movie with Shinichi Tsutsumi being in Our Little Sister, pleasant surprise. 😌
unlabelledView post →OUR LITTLE SISTER (Kore-eda Hirokazu, Japan, 2015) is a perfect film btw. In case you didn't know.
unlabelledView post →Excellent stuff! Loved the Pastygate saga and suggestion that your friend may have set up a daily DD for pasties. And pleased that Ive seen both Japanese films. Still Walking was the first film I saw by director Hirokazu Koreeda - highly recommend others by him, esp Shoplifter & Our Little Sister.
unlabelledView post →I remember you saying that you & your wife used to talk about ‘After Life’ - ‘Our Little Sister’ is another very gentle Kore-eda film, if you ever felt like trying one from this list 🙏

unlabelledView post →Our Little Sister comes from the tender slice of life side of Hirokazu Koreeda's filmography. I'd put it in the same basket as his earlier I Wish, a movie that doesn't really go for the throat but doesn't hide the pain and regret of adult life.
unlabelledView post →I love the Japanese movie Our Little Sister.
unlabelledView post →There’s a terrific Japanese film “Our Little Sister”. There’s a seen where the little sister accepts a lift home from a boy, on his bike, as she is first becoming interested in boys and they travel down a country lane just like this, framed by blossoming cherry trees. Beautiful scene.
unlabelledView post →It's the kind of movie that is really interesting to rewatch. Same as his "Like Father, Like Son". (Kore-eda's one of my favourite filmmakers, BTW. I adore his "Our Little Sister" -- another work of his I've watched more than once; but that's one's just pure pleasure!)

unlabelledView post →some people try to connect with my by quizzing me about movies. "Do you know this obscure Japanese movie Our Little Sister?" "You mean the Kore-eda film? I love him." No one seems to realize the movies I haven't seen are 80s and 90s blockbusters. Top Gun? Titanic? Not a clue.
unlabelledView post →Excellent movie. That said, Our Little Sister remains one of my favorite all time movies. Reminds me of a French new wave drama, like those of Rohmer.
unlabelledView post →48. Our Little Sister (2015) very cute and sincere movie, it knows you want to see some good human drama and it gives exactly what you expect but without crossing the line into melodrama, it's not flashy and the editing is a bit weird but I liked it a lot 🎇 8/10

unlabelledView post →Despite the acclaim, I think his "Our Little Sister" is underrated. A charming, sweet, thoughtful movie.
