National Lampoon's European Vacation
The Griswolds win a vacation to Europe on a game show, and so pack their bags for the continent. They do their best to catch the flavor of Europe, but they just don't know how to be be good tourists. Besides, they have trouble taking holidays in countries where they CAN speak the language. From TMDB

Interestingly, the English version of 99 Luftballons hardly charted here at all. Plastic Bertrand's song was huge due to appearing on the soundtrack of the National Lampoon's European Vacation movie starring Chevy Chase and Beverley D'Angelo.

unlabelledView post →NATIONAL LAMPOON'S EUROPEAN VACATION (1985, DVD, #film) Amy Heckerling directs a Robert Klane script about idiot Americans abroad. The disconnected bits run from big-chortles to DOA; the fat joke run is especially dire. Beverly D'Angelo is never escaping the World's Hottest Cinema Mom allegations.

As I suspect you already know, it is a word in Portuguese. It means cliché, as you might expect.
