60 of 192 · most liked firstI really wanted to love this game. I am a long time fan of games like Dungeon Keeper. The voice acting is excellent, the art is epic, and the game play loop is mostly fun. The system is even pretty intuitive. However, what killed the fun for me was the lack of needed information. For example, I kept having minions quit due to unfulfilled needs. The system never once told me what those needs were. The HR tab showed everyone had 80%+ moral. So I would watch them. Every 5-10 minutes I would…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →What a boring game gezz, the comedy is fun at the start but gets really stale quickly. I understand that the characters shouldn't take themselves seriously but my gosh, at least make them interesting to listen. All the dialogues were made to look like a corpo lingo satire, that again, gets boring incredibly fast. About the gameplay, not sure what the developers had in mind for this game, but for a dungeon management u can barely understand what is going on ur dungeon and what is needed to be…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its like a Re-skinned Two Point Campus/Hospital kinda unplayable in its currant state.... right now huge game breaking bug where your BANKS wont pay your minions for some reason even tho you have TONS of gold in the vaults. everything in your tower will eventually grind to a halt well everyone is waiting in line to get paid by bankers that are not doing anything. know bug that still hasnt been fixxed. the only way i found to make the bankers work is when you keep the camera hovering over them…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I would like to give a positive review of this game but with all the soft-lock inducing bugs that i encountered during the campaign I cannot do so. A few examples of bugs that soft-lock your game and force you to restart from a previous save : - During the torture tutorial, if you are already inspecting the prisoner when the tooltip asking you to release him appears, it close the prison tooltip and you cannot interact with anything anymore (even the esc menu isn't working) you have to alt+f4 -…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There is a pretty game wrecking bug where the bankers don't appear to be doing their job unless you are actively watching them. Meanwhile all your staff line up to get paid and the entire dungeon ends up being screwed over because of this. People quitting and starving. Worst part is this has been a known issue for 2 years now.

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There's much to like... and much to dislike. Dungeon building is quite fun in this game. Being able to build across multiple levels of the tower is a nice gimmick. The way the economy is run based on the tavern is also interesting, and you'll probably devote an entire floor of your dungeon just to your tavern and supporting rooms. The room editor is great, allowing you to freely edit, redesign and even move rooms. There are a fair few jokes in the campaign that actually land, especially with…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This isn't really a dungeon simulator. It's a village simulator where some of your villagers happen to be orcs, goblins, or trolls. A dungeon simulator is about creating a gauntlet to defeat invading heroes. This game doesn't work that way; mostly what happens is that the invaders set off an alarm, and the local squad of guards shows up to fight them. The heroes politely wait around for the guards if they set off an alarm, so there are no issues of, say, catching the heroes before they can…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I think one review put it best, it feels like you're constantly in a tutorial and never let out into the full game. My first big frustration is enemy raids. Not that they're hard, but that they're unpredictable. You have set entrances to your keep (it isn't a castle let alone a dungeon) ... but raids never come from those areas ... they TELEPORT IN. I've had raids start on the 5th floor of the keep ... there's nothing up there ... how did they get in? And your minions won't inform the…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is a very clean an polished knock-off of the dungeons classic with some pros and cons. The pros are that it's a clever and original take with multiple floors of dungeon creation connected by staircases. The cons are that it's really fun to play until it isn't. It has zero re-playability. Once you complete the campaign there is no interest in replaying it because there is no variation or scalability. The low level adversaries are easy and the high level are downright impossible.…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While Naheulbeuk's Dungeon Master delivers entertaining characters and solid humor, the entire campaign feels like an elongated tutorial with no payoff. After grinding through 10 hours hoping for narrative development or character growth, the story simply... ends. Abruptly. Going nowhere. The dungeon management itself is painfully mediocre. At no point did I feel the satisfying pressure of juggling multiple crises - that "oh ♥♥♥♥, five things are on fire!" moment that defines great…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Considering the last update/patch was in April 2024 do not buy this. This looked like a fun game and honestly it was until it got boring after I realized all you do is build up your tavern to earn more money to unlock more furniture to raise your dungeon level. You are really restricted with designing your dungeon/rooms because every floor is littered with giant wall blocks seemingly randomly put everywhere so you can't make a nice layout. There are quite some bugs, my building section had…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Naheulbeuk’s Dungeon Master works best when viewed as an introductory entry into the management genre and a game meant to be enjoyed in small doses. Its campaign, humor, and mission structure are appealing despite clear limitations and some questionable execution choices. This is not a definitive simulation or management experience, and it is certainly far removed from classics like Dungeon Keeper, but it is far from a bad or unenjoyable game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's too slow. The voice acting is superb, the animations and character design are funny, so the aesthetics and the non-essentials are awesome. But the game itself is not fun enough. You make money too slow, you affect and control NPC's lives too little and just sit by and watch them while not really doing anything for hours on end. Awesome personality, not enough game.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hit a few game breaking bugs in the campaign where I would need to hard quit the game and reload to make progress. Also the taverns can be bugged and make zero profit for some reason and need to effectively be rebuilt.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I have been a HUGE fan of the "Dungeon Keeper" genre of games for a long time, and I really want to recommend this game, because new titles in this genre come so rarely. However, while this game has an excellent foundation for a great gaming experience, I think there are a few experience ruining miss-steps that could have easily been avoided. 1. If I am playing a Dungeon Keeper game, its because I want to actually BE the "Dungeon Keeper." .. One of the tropes that I see as becoming more…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Damn, it's bad. Every game design decision is wrong. There are 5 traps. You have to spam rooms full of storage for each resource. The "market" is the weirdest take on selling excess production i've witnessed. It's quickly boring and tedious, and you spend your time erasing your rooms to make your tavern bigger and bigger. Because you cannot build a new one. The scrolling in the item list of each room is awful and slow. It's a SIMS like prestige management where you just spam expensive items to…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I went into Naheulbeuk’s Dungeon Master expecting a fun, lighthearted colony sim where I could build a thriving dungeon and command an army of misfits. What I got instead was a masterclass in frustration, abstraction, and a pacing so slow that I’m pretty sure I aged a few years before finishing the campaign. Let’s start with the good: the humor is there, the art style is charming, and the concept should be fun. But then you actually start playing. First off, the campaign is a slog. It…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →[Prime] *Naheulbeuk's Dungeon Master*, monster management strategy game. > Embody Reivax, the servile (or not) steward of the Dungeon of Naheulbeuk. Years before the first incursion of fearless adventurers, you are tasked to build, develop, and populate the wobbly tower. > Above all, try not to upset your master, the evil sorcerer Zangdar. Are you up to the task? > Build – Rise to glorious days and build the dungeon of your dreams! > Recruit – Hire the less useless personnel to work, defend,…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →While well made I felt the gameplay was not compelling. To put it another way, I was bored the entire time I was playing and kept waiting for something interesting to happen.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really wanted to like this game but there are too many bugs, not just fun bugs which I don't have problems with but for example in one campaign mission you need to collect 50 intel but game bugs out and you dont get any so I actually cant progress campaign further than mission 5.3. Not everyone is stuck here but everyone gets stuck at some point. Just avoid this bugged ♥♥♥♥, support was dropped so it wont get better.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game was too short, and the jokes were too long. I wasn’t really expecting much from this game, but after finishing it, it gave me the same vibe as "Dungeon Keeper" in good old day. You build and manage a tower for a wizard who acts like a classic evil overlord. You hire minions to serve the master’s dream and create rooms to support their daily lives. The game looks really clunky at first. The character models feel too small compared to the rooms, and even when zooming in, I could…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Listen. Is this a great management game? Probably not. It's poorly balanced, with not a lot of interesting, active gameplay decisions, and entire mechanics that are probably better off ignored entirely. That being said, it's a fun game for a bit. I mostly think it's worth supporting the franchise so that Dungeon of Naheulbeuk, a fantastic tactical RPG, will hopefully get a sequel one day. For that reason, I say buy it, on sale if you must.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I liked it more than I expected to but I am glad I got it from a Humble Bundle and didn't pay $25 for it. I would wait till its $10 or less. Not a ton of game here. Campaign beat in 9 hours, playing casually. I would give it a 6/10. Could of been so much more and better than it was, still had fun though.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →tl;dr game breaks to be unplayable. It's not the most perfectly balanced game, but it's still a fun little management sim. Specifically I don't like that the game requires like 10 bankers to efficiently distribute the employee's weekly salary for like 40 people. I just feel like there should be ways to make it more efficient. I also wish there was some more information on how the tavern is making money, sure they give you a chart, but is my bar items for more $ now that it has a great…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Just a funny dungeon manager game which you can 100% in 22 hours. Fun time sink with little commitment. Would recommend
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I loved the actual dungeon game, but this clunky mess is terrible. First off the UI is horrendous to navigate and it takes forever and many menus to get even a small change made. Second its buggy and the npc pathing is horrible. Stairways bug out and are difficult to places that work. They need to look at successful simulation style games like Sims or Tycoon games and learn a thing or two for this genre of game. The original dungeon game is very witty and comical where this one is very flat and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Rather bland - not enough to recommend it over, say, Dungeons. It's rather comical that infiltrating mobs, once the alarm is sounded, just stands there waiting for your guards to go fight them.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →For a management game, there’s surprisingly little to manage. Your castle can be inhabited by various races—goblins, dwarves, elves, orcs, and more—each with different needs and occasional conflicts. However, the lack of control over basic functions is somewhat frustrating. I wish I could assign specific sleeping areas or restrict access to certain rooms, but the game doesn’t allow it. The AI is frustratingly inefficient. Minions frequently abandon tasks midway, take a break, return briefly,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →First of all TERRIBLE POLISH TRANSLATION I can see where they were going with Dungeons x Two Point /games/ The game became a bit more of the joke than it wanted to Many mechanics don't work as they're supposed to work Game crashed once making me lose about 40min of progress 100% achievements in 1 run at 13 hours. Game start: interesting Mid game (Dungeon level 8+): meh End game (Dungeon level 54+): grind, but actually required me to think more than I did through whole game Game was…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There are 2 types of Dungeon Keeper Clones, the ones that are faithful to the original, aka actually taking themselves seriously like war for the overworld, and then theres the parodies, like dungeons, which dont. Naheulbeuks Dungeon Master categorically sits in the later category, and that means many things. for once, while not taking itself ever seriously, which is fun sometimes, the general vibe of this game is very childish, especially in its humor. A subjective point. One i dont really…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I had high hopes for this when i saw it but is just a let down and really short says i beat the campaign in just 8hrs only using 3 of the 7 floors.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →it is a nice game, but the bugs are just to much in the long-term incursion gets stuck, suddenly the ground level is marked as "not connected by stairs" and so on
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I don't recommend it simply because it isn't what I was hoping for it to be. I don't know if I was really doing good or what. But it just feels slow. You expand the tavern sure. But the way the campaign is. You don't exactly think about it. And you are kinda just plopping rooms down. Just trying to move through the campaign. But eventually ya get to a point where ya think "man. this is starting to look bad and just all over the place. You get a tower of floors to work with as…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️½ “Reivax needs a coffee… and maybe a new wardrobe” If you've ever wondered what it’s like to manage a dungeon while juggling a tavern and a minion revolt, Naheulbeuk’s Dungeon Master has got you covered — in slime, sarcasm, and surprises. I popped in for what I thought would be a quick session… three hours later, I was hooked: Minions complaining mid-walk about bathroom locations I haven’t even built — and they’re looting, working, or striking depending on whether I forgot to pay…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Hard to not be bias seeing as I got this for free from a friend. However, I'm a little upset the dungeon isn't dungeons, it's literally a single dungeon. The gameplay is tiered within that single dungeon, over and over. So play campaign, enjoy it, you can sandbox. The game itself is fairly enjoyable, with hyper speed modes that don't really waste your time which is great. It's like a city management simulation game, meaning you micromanage a dungeon balancing the income / expenditures, etc.…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →this game is really fun but has some major bugs, for instance I lost cause no one was eating. Not that they couldnt eat but they refused for some reason, I hope the devs fix the ai cause i would love to keep playing
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It had potential but I personally didn't like the constant hand-holding and tutorials. This kind of humour also didn't click with me - had the opposite effect. At some point I realized all this was going to be a pattern for each and every of the 70% rooms and UI pages I still couldn't access, and felt that was enough to just stop playing. Technically it is ok, but, simply put, I didn't have fun, nor reason to keep playing. I suspect the interesting part is going to happen when the tutorial…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →At the end of the campaign, I felt like this game was abandoned. This game feels empty.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The game is great but it is very well too short and quite easy. Finished it all in 14h30m, full achievements on my first run. If you're looking for a challenge this isn't it, if you're looking to build a dungeon such as "The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot", this isn't it either, the fighting is very light On the other hand the game offers a short and fun experience, fans of the Naheulbeuk's saga will be pleased, the dialogue are great
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →tried to give it a chance, but it feels less like a dungeon-keeper game and more like an off-brand roller coaster tycoon title. hire goons to murder intruders do jobs around the castle! traps are an incredibly important almost pointless part of defending your lair. manage your resources properly so you can expand! grow! lash out at the goody-two-shoes humans and elves and dwarves buy cute little decorations that are functionally useless but still take up space. also you can't smack your…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The "campaign" is basically the tutorial, but once you do it, there isn't much else to play for. A lot of things seem to be underbaked and rushed.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →its fine, like, i got it off humble bundle and im glad, its not a game you'd pay more than 5-10$ for
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Naheulbeuk's Dungeon Master is another game based on French author John Lang's humorous audiobooks. Set before the events of The Amulet Of Chaos, this game revolves around the construction and management of the titular dungeon before the heroes of the previous game set out to plunder it. -Build a multi-layered dungeon located in a tower, populate it with minions and satisfy your master. -At the same time, you can manage raids into nearby, rival dungeons, and you must defend your. -The main…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's okay...completed the story in one sitting, probably couldn't if you listen to the endless goofy dialogue, I got bored of it after the first hundred pauses It's very much like a two-point game and totally mindless, no challenge at all, and it doesn't feel like you're in charge of a dungeon at all, more like a bed and breakfast
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I want to like this game. Having played other Dungeon Master style games, and being a fan of the genre, this looked promising, but it's pretty rough. Everything feels very shallow as far as development goes. Rooms tend to be a lot of stamp and repeat. Traps feel basically useless, and I end up relying pretty heavily on just setting up alarms for guards to respond to. The tower is fairly swiss cheese like for placement, with entrances on every floor, which could be cool if traps and…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The enjoyment you will experience playing this game scales logarithmically with your autism.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've attempted to play this game - for the most part, the first time I tried it I enjoyed the campaign, making it to the point where I finished the entire opening floor - and then my computer had a full crash. I had to reboot eveything. Needless to say, I stayed away from the game. Well, after a full year I figured I'd try it again. - This time, however, I couldn't even click on the main characters to get started. So it didn't crash, just din't work. Thankfully I managed to close the game…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A modern day version of the 90s classic dungeon keeper, it is a great game and good if you are a fan of dungeon building, i hope they release new content soon like demon guards and more rooms, I highly recommend this game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There is absolutely no depth to this game, there's not even any reason to use all the extra floors you unlock because you don't actually need them for anything.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Naheulbeuk's Dungeon Master Honestly I wasn't expecting to like this game that much, in fact it was quite addictive, perfect for my sleepless nights. It was fun unlocking all the floors and building rooms, managing and recruiting was sometimes a bit challenging if you are after the achievements. Poor Reivax he's trying his best! So why am I rating this negatively ? I have been trying for more than a week to load my save but nothing works, I have verify the integrity of the files, my AMD is…

negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I wouldn't recommend this game. It was boring, with a plot that was barely there, and an ending that was equally disappointing. It lacked variety and depth. I wouldn't waste my time on this. It's a shame because it had the potential to be enjoyable, but it's missing significant quality of life improvements.
