neutral · AI labelView post →The action in MORTAL KOMBAT (1994) is fine, but the Scorpion fight kicks butt for one reason: The star of the film Robin Shou, took over as choreographer. He was a veteran of Taiwanese action, so suddenly there's impact powder, body falls, and little gags like leg smashes.
neutral · AI labelView post →i know the johnny cage movie within a movie in the latest MORTAL KOMBAT is supposed to be a total parody…but i would watch the hell out of it
positive · AI labelView post →phone just autocorrected Mortal Kombat to Mortal Mombat and there’s a movie pitch if anybody wants one

neutral · AI labelView post →We lost a legend today. Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa played Shang Tsung in the 1995 Mortal Kombat film and sadly passed away at age 75. We had the privilege of his portrayal on the first MK film but also as an amazing voice actor in the Mortal Kombat 11 game. (1 of 2) youtu.be/Dq4TZPg3kOs
neutral · AI labelView post →One reason I’m optimistic about the new Mortal Kombat movie is that it seems to be as disdainful of the previous Mortal Kombat movie making their protagonist “some guy” as I am, I hope Goro uppercuts him into space.

neutral · AI labelView post →i find all new mortal kombat movies unnecessary. the one thing i wanted from a mortal kombat movie was for it to yell "MORTAL KOMBAT" at me within 1 second of the start of the film and the first movie already did that thirty years ago
negative · AI labelView post →It's official. We're FINALLY getting a 4K UHD Bluray for... MORTAL KOMBAT 1995!!🐉 Day One purchase for me. I love this movie so much!
positive · AI labelView post →I'm a simple man with simple tastes. I just want a Mortal Kombat film that plays the original Mortal Kombat song every time there is an action sequence.
neutral · AI labelView post →Liu Kang & Kung Lao.... forever in kompetition! Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection available now! Wait til you see their fight in the Mortal Kombat 2 movie! 😮
neutral · AI labelView post →Saw the movie. Kind of a cluster f**k but much more in line of what I wanted for a Mortal Kombat movie. That being said though, Jax died so… 0/10. Trash. Garbage. Unwatchable. /jk
negative · AI labelView post →There’s an old episode of We Hate Movies that talks about how the Mortal Kombat theme song is the best song ever in a movie because it starts off by screaming the name of the movie
neutral · AI labelView post →if the new mortal kombat movie doesn't start with someone yelling "MORTAL KOMBAT" then i dont wanna hear another damn word about it
neutral · AI labelView post →I like how the trailer for Mortal Kombat II is like, "Please disregard the 2021 movie, we all know why you would watch a Mortal Kombat movie, because it's dumb and fun"
positive · AI labelView post →My personal favorite "Fun Facts" about the 1995 Mortal Kombat film production. A thread 🧵

neutral · AI labelView post →Mortal Kombat 2 movie: BEHIND THE SCENES! www.youtube.com/watch?v=-i8E...
neutral · AI labelView post →Here’s the thing: with a video game movie you CANNOT BE ASHAMED OF THE SOURCE MATERIAL. This is why Mortal Kombat II (2026) works over Mortal Kombat I (2021). I don’t think this movie will be a cinematic masterpiece but it seems to be shaping up to be a fun STREET FIGHTER movie

positive · AI labelView post →Mortal Kombat (1995) is FINALLY getting a 4K release in June so that's great news. It's still my favorite video game movie adaptation EVER 🔥 And... I guess I also can't wait to hate watch MK Annihilation again? ... In 4K? 😑
positive · AI labelView post →Tonight's film Mortal Kombat (1995)
neutral · AI labelView post →Basically my favourite movie of all time is MORTAL KOMBAT (1995) and no one can understand how hard it is for all of my books (ALL) to not just be MORTAL KOMBAT (1995) in prose form Like I am fighting a harder battle than anyone knows On a leaky boat To save the world
positive · AI labelView post →I don't know that there's a video game movie that I enjoy more than the 1995 Mortal Kombat. It treats the series' mythology like set dressing to the actual colorful set dressing, a film driven by revenge and the simple idea that when two or more people enter the same room, they have to fight.
positive · AI labelView post →Mortal Kombat II film moves from May 15 to May 8 deadline.com/2025/10/mort...
neutral · AI labelView post →Is the new Mortal Kombat movie “good”? No. Is it a hoot? YES.
neutral · AI labelView post →like someone in that thread said "so you think watching horror movies is like watching a snuff film?" and someone replied "they trace over real sexual assault to make it" but Mortal Kombat was also made using actual snuff footage, so what then?

neutral · AI labelView post →Steven Spielberg was a fan of Mortal Kombat and was set to appear in the film as Johnny Cage's director, but due to scheduling conflicts he was unable to. Instead, the character in the film was dressed and styled to look similar to Spielberg.

negative · AI labelView post →Watched MORTAL KOMBAT 2 (2026) the 7️⃣1️⃣7️⃣th film I've seen with an exploding helicopter. 🚁💥📽️ This was a rare, meta, exploding helicopter. Within the film there's a fake trailer with a chopper fireball. The only other film-within-film exploding helicopters are in 22 Jump Street and Ant-Man.
