Metaverse Keeper is a fairly fun dungeon-crawling roguelite in Early Access right now. It has some good ideas and the design of the game is great. Some features definitely need to be improved with further development to increase this title's longevity. Currently the build has a decent amount of content, lots of upgrades available, and 4…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →UPDATE 4/15: DO NOT worry about the "Mixed" review on Steam right now. It's a huge salty group negatively review bombing the game. I'll never understand. To keep it simple, Metaverse Keeper is a roguelike game very similar to games like The Binding of Isaac and Enter The Gungeon. You can expect to be doing multiple runs to traverse a dungeon and hopefully getting further and further each time. It’s a top down view where you explore rooms, defeat enemies, and upgrade your load out. There are 4…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →ABANDONWARE This game will never leave early access. Last update was in 2020 (ok there was a small bugfix in early 2021). I'm really getting sick of games with ton of potential getting abandoned by devs. The game was really fun and had some the binding of Isaac online multiplayer potential but now it's all ruined. The multiplayer works by connecting to an external server and for a long while it's been laggy and buggy. Also no, the game is not done. It's still buggy and devs themselves said…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Not sure where all these negative chinese reviews are coming from, but this is a solid roguelike. Highly recomended if you like co-op games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Long time No major upate.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This is a nice looking game, the weapons & enemies are well designed and fun to interact with, but it's *very* grindy. You only get the meta-currency you need for long-term upgrades when you beat a boss (with occasional minor exceptions) but your best bet to beat a boss is to get some upgrades... you can play through a whole world only to be killed by the boss at the end and having nothing to show for your efforts. There are some upgrades that help you get more of the meta-resources, but these…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →VERY FUN! The art style is adorable, the gameplay is tight and fun ~ This is a roguelite through and through :3 you start off with two characters ( with their own stats, starter weps and special dodge moves ) And you can unlock more under certain conditions. You also have a monumental skill tree that you can unlock with cassette tapes you find in runs, there's also another tree that starts you off with things, such as more health, more gold, more skill points. You go through randomized…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I've played this game both by myself and with my wife. We had alot of fun, and the game has alot of replay value in it. It takes a while to unlock everything in the game(upgrades) and there are a couple of extra characters to choose from, two of which you unlock through medium difficulty task done on the fly. Although I love this game, and would buy it again, or buy a part 2.....it's community is dead, and you have ZERO hope of finding someone else to play with. If you don't have a friend that…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I'm going to keep it short and simple. The game is grind. There are so many things to unlock, and they all take so long. Strike one for me. Strike two, and where I stop, is that the game expects you to dodge the enemies. That's fine. The enemies are well telegraphed. But.... your dodge has a cool down. And if you dodge 2 enemies and the third one is about to hit you, well... yeah. Removing the artificial difficulty and dodge cool downs would keep me playing to get better. There are more…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Only thing I don't like is that you can't really do Mouse/Keyboard from what I have seen. I notice you can do keyboard but nothing with mouse. So ofc I went to the xbox controller which works just fine. Good game, need to add more in lines of the chips. I am not sure how deep they go but it feels there should be more variety from the start. *Maybe I havn't unlocked some. Good game though totally fun to do coop with some buddies. The lobby and multiplayer stuff is like 20XX which kinda sucks for…

There will be added a lot more to this game. Info Game: This is such a wonderful roguelike! I like the art style and the humor in this game a lot. You can play this game as a single player or local/online multiplayer. You can change which way to play it every run, so…

positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Unfortunately it's an abandoned game, but I was genuinely surprised with how fun the game is! I really wish there were more stages :') Highly recommend!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →not sure if it's fair to downvote this game as it's super fun, or at least it would be if it didn't lag so much. i know it's an issue related to lack of servers rather than the game but it kinda sucks that my friends and i are unable to play without at least a full second or so of delay. you might enjoy this if you don't lag playing on asian servers but if you're from OCE you're probably gonna have a bad time. hopefully an OCE server will eventually be released, otherwise i won't be spending…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Great little game. Glad it popped up on my radar. Visual style reminds me of Earthbound, gameplay is a bit of a less brutal Binding of Isaac. Lots of perks to unlock, solid replayablity, solid online/ offline multiplayer. Pick it up!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do not buy this game, the USA servers have been down for the past month or so with no fix
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I really wanted to enjoy this game, but while using a controller, the right stick doesn't work, and the auto-targeting option in the options menu doesn't work all the time. This means that during a boss fight, I will target minions much of the time instead of the boss. This isn't a big deal until the screen is full of mobs, even in normal rooms. I was really hoping the right-stick issue had been resolved, but it seems it had not. So, for folks like me who do best with the controller,…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A fun twin stick with dozens of weapons and odd powerups (like using a salted swordfish as a weapon).
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Owned both on Steam and NSwitch ~50hrs played. What an underrated amazing roguelike game! Many, many Items, Skills, Bomb variations, Upgradable Meelee or Ranged Weapons, Fluid gameplay/combat, Optional Full Aim Assist, Characters with different stats and passives, various monsters, some trap rooms and room hazards that can also damage enemies, Pure Roguelike game mode, --REAL online co-op, scaling difficulty up to 4 people-- , Tough Achievements, vibing music! Predictable monsters, yet…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I love roguelites. I suck at roguelites. This is a fun, cartooney, not too crushingly difficult roguelite I can play over and over again when I have 45 minutes to kill.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →No major update for almost a year. Not sure whether game is abandoned.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's a fun and decent rogue-lite but I really can't recommend a game that so blatantly decides whether the player wins or not. The game follows the relatively basic rogue-lite formula trend but manages to have enough solid variety to the content and unlocks that it still somewhat feels like its own experience. The art is very detailed but the world building is weak and nonsensical, the characters not having arms doesn't feel like an artistic choice so much as a design convenience. The…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game and even more fun to play with friends. You'll get caught up for hours.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →为什么做成双摇杆呢? 开枪不能转角度好难受 Why isn't it Twin-Stick?
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is really fun!! Online Co-Op was the big selling feature for me. I have no idea why the Chinese love to review bomb games.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun game to play with friend together, but just 5 chapters, but with different mode, hope update more chapters and mode
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun coop game, I recommend, little bit short though.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Metaverse Keeper Review By, Z-Nation Summary: Sparks Games brings us an exciting top-down indie game called Metaverse Keeper. It’s a dungeon crawler with a touch of roguelike features that will have you playing as a team and switching between characters to take out aliens and clear planets for civilization. Being spark games first release on the steam store, they released a pretty good indie game with some fantastic graphics and the right amount of gameplay to play around with. With the game…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One of my favorite top-down action roguelites that I rarely see recommended. It has a fairly low difficulty, fun weapons and art style, good enemy and room variety.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Look, this game is okay but don't look for a completed game with this. Nor expect an actual early access type game. The devs have gone silent for over a year with any major patches and the last small patch was July 23 2021. If you have some friends and you've played all the co-op rougelite/likes that are more well known, then go ahead and play it. They had some really interesting ideas and the style is nice. I just wish they kept moving forward with it :( If anything does change I'll…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →This game is really fun and fast. Almost all the weapons are viable and you can have multiple game styles. Really colorful with great music. It has a lot of pop culture easter eggs as well. Would 100% recommend.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →I can't recommend as it stands since it hasn't been updated for a very long time. It would be a shame if it gets totally abandoned, since it has good potential.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Don't let the "Mixed" review score fool you - Metaverse Keeper provides a ton of excellent content for your money. Does it suck that it's been a while since the developers have released an update? Definitely. When you throw money at an Early Access title, you hope that the developers will keep up with their end of the bargain. That said, the current version of Metaverse Keeper feels like a complete game. I've sunk 15-plus hours into this game, and I still feel there are more things to unlock,…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →There is a mechanic that makes you bleed just for being in a room. Legitimately the most braindead mechanic I have ever seen in a game. Garbage.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Didn't get to play the game, so not reviewing based on quality of game in any sense. Just reviewing the server. Tried to play Online Co-op with a friend in Australia. Nearest server was Asia at 200 ping; and it takes a solid second for any action to begin. Makes the game unplayable. Just a warning to other Australians looking to buy this game to play online with friends, it's impossible to play. Sorry devs; I know the playerbase in Australia isn't worth having a server for, it's a shame; as…
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →One part Binding of Isaac. Two parts Enter the Gungeon. All parts fun. The multiplayer also feels fair and balanced toward co-op while still making you choose who gets certain upgrades. The free remoteplay is nice too, though glitchy at times. For anyone who likes games of this ilk, it's a great addition to the genre.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It feels bad to play this game, clunky controls, slow movement speed out the bat, not keyboard and mouse friendly. It feels as if it was made in flash (which isnt necessarily a bad thing)... Like it's a baby version of isaac or gungeon. the camera seems like its REALLY zoomed in for no reason, feels like it was designed for console or phone, generally feels like it was purely made as a cash grab. A lot of actions in game feel bad to do, like using any bomb or item.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Nice game for multiplayer gamers.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A decent rogue-like game that doesn't really stand out. Is the game bad? No. Is it great? Nope. Needs a lot of polishing before it can be considered great. Concept is okay. Story is non existent. Art style is meh. Controls are atrocious. It's fun for a bit but it wont leave a long lasting impression like any of the other great titles in the same category. I would not recommend paying about $8 for it.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →It's good, but not as good as Son Of A Witch. Plenty of good game play. The translation from Asian to American is pretty bad, so there is some confusion around what a lot of items do, so there's plenty of trial and error. Also the difference in difficulty between normal and hard is astronomical. Normal is too easy and hard is impossible. They need a difficulty level in between those 2.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really nice roguelike game with a lot of content already!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In this video I take a look at Metaverse Keeper an RPG rogue-like dungeon crawler. This game is very upbeat with fun cute graphics and lively game play. I really enjoyed playing it but it is a little on the brutal side. Don't approach it with a charge attitude, tactics will win the day with this one I think. I could have lost half my day with an "I can do it" attitude but I had other games to look at unfortunately so I never got to complete the level I KNEW I could finish. ;) There are a lot…
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Fun Little Game! I like it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →great game but abandoned.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Pretty bland. I usually play these types with a friend 40+ hours but this got boring really quick and we got on sale. Once youve played Ember Knights everything else just falls short but this one more than others.
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Really fun game! Very replayable. A lot better than i was expecting to be honest, lol. Even my girlfriend loves it! Expensive on the switch, but very affordable on steam :)
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →The percentage that this game has gotten does not reflect its quality. It is above average gameplay, above average graphics, above average sound & music. This is just an overall really great game if you are into stuff like The Binding of Isaac. Highly recommend for roguelite fans.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Do you like Enter The Gungeon but wish it was easier? Or 4 player? You are in the right place. Also has an out of control mode for more of a challenge.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →fsdvxgklj;n very fun
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →- movement is very slow - lots of different weapons but only like 6 basetypes - so many weapons feel the same - luck is a major factor getting into endgame - you can simply end up witha bad weapon and deal no damage
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Its fun and engaging, a bit short and now dead, but worth buying on some discount for sure
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Game ded, but good
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →在线联机ping高的要死(顺便问问大佬们怎么才能本地联机 滑稽)
negative · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Room-by-room roguelike ala Binding of Isaac with a much more family-friendly feel. This game is one I look forward to playing with the younger children in my family. Looking forward to see how this game develops as it approaches full release.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Super fun, super casual, SUPER addictive. Co-op or solo are both viable. I love the colorful graphics and the music. However, it's the frantic gameplay, and the way the difficulty ramps up in a way that doesn't just ground you into dust 30 seconds into your first play though. It's still early access, and a lot of the translations still need to be polished/fixed. Still, this game is more than worth your time and your money.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Very fun. Had a lot of content for how small the game is. Lots of things to discover. The upgrade trees and character abilities are very balanced.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →A good game to play with other people, even your 8 year old niece. There's much love put into Metaverse: you can experience it through unique gameplay ideas, graphics and internal mechanics that just makes you smile. After few hours of intense play, experience may wear-off a bit due to repeating pattern and lack of novelty. But, it's Early Access Game -- it should be less of a problem as development progresses.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →amazing game to play with friends the game is super fun in general playing with friends makes it so much better get this game if youre about it!
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →Solidly fun game, solo or with pals! I've put in many hours and there's many more to go. (Randomly generated levels FTW!) Love the variability, the unique weapons, zazzy VFX, and art. Sometimes the weapon or chip descriptions are difficult to understand, which of course is frustrating when you're making selections and trying to survive, but that's a small hitch to a great game.
positive · reviewer's own thumbsView post →In just 2 hours I encountered a ton of bugs, the controls feel clunky using a controller and the co-op feels like a complete afterthought. To be clear, most of the bugs I encountered were playing co-op, mostly issues with my friend being blocked out of a room I entered, forcing us to restart. I give it 5 metaverses
