unlabelledView post →Hi there! I'm currently working on Metal Garden, a short, atmospheric fps game where you travel through an overgrown megastructure. You can check it out here on itch: alexandra-ht.itch.io/metal-garden
unlabelledView post →Made an Auto Aim system for today's Metal Garden update, which automatically locks player weapon onto enemy character nearest to screen center. If you ever wanted to play the game, but have issues with aiming in first person games, this should hopefully make the experience a lot more accessible :)

unlabelledView post →after having little time to play for half a year sometimes i wonder lately if i even like games anymore but i have been wowed by awesomely gray game Metal Garden which deeply understands jumping through cool 3d spaces and also there are cheetah men there
unlabelledView post →This is also probably the last major update for Metal Garden that I have planned, as I'm trying to dedicate much more time from now on towards working on my next game :)

unlabelledView post →Doing my annual thing of telling everyone I know to buy and play one particular PC indie game, in this case Metal Garden by @aleksandraht.bsky.social - a really fun, atmospheric little FPS with some great level design
unlabelledView post →been watching some of this- because I'm too scared of heights to play it- and it's gooooooooorgeous. this is such a fascinating game and gameplay setup feels a bit like a sibling to Metal Garden
unlabelledView post →Metal Garden (2025, @aleksandraht.bsky.social) Brutalism sickos are drooling at the mouth at this game (this includes me). Fantastic level design reminiscent of Halo CE and other classic FPS games I haven't played, rewarding lots of exploration. Gunplay feels good. Lore is intriguing. Good game.
unlabelledView post →I'm yet to see a game which is described by this Godspeed You! Black Emperor quote better than Metal Garden: "We're trapped in this belly of this horrible machine, and it's bleeding to death".
unlabelledView post →Metal Garden eShop page is live! You can now add it to your wishlist: sourcemacchiato.com/mg-switch Metal Garden will be available on Nintendo Switch on September 1st 2026! Note: for Asian countries, the game will be released on September 3rd, following the regular eShop release calendar.
unlabelledView post →Losing all your health in Metal Garden doesn't necessarily spell the end of the game. Instead, you can continue playing while incurring an injury (eg. shoulder injury makes your aim down sights uneven, etc).
unlabelledView post →We should have a name for game subgenre in which the introductory screen is so freaking good that it has you instantly glued to the screen. (These are in order Paradise Killer, Iron Lung and Metal Garden, which was the one I was playing right now).
unlabelledView post →I love how the concrete sky in Metal Garden looks. It's such an evocative visual, and matched with the overcast grey and green muted tones of the game it's just 🤌

unlabelledView post →Metal Garden is one of the best things I've played this year, full stop Beautifully atmospheric with incredible environment design. A short and sweet burst of a kind of "middle-era" FPS we don't see that often right now. Feels like a lost PS2 hidden gem store.steampowered.com/app/3539440/...
unlabelledView post →Played 'Metal Garden' on Steam yesterday and really enjoyed this little indie gem. I got inspired to make my own fan-made 3D model based on the “Log Devices” you find in the game. Thank you @aleksandraht.bsky.social for such a awesome game! #metalgarden #indie #fanart

unlabelledView post →Number eight: Metal Garden. Back to my fixations, back to a game about which I adore its sense of place. Also its melancholical atmosphere, its encounter design, its stark wildlife and its literal and narrative textures. A title that, after finishing it, I can say: "I lived there, for a while".
unlabelledView post →Just finished Metal Garden by @aleksandraht.bsky.social and it's a lovely little game. Some of it's vistas have given me maybe my favorite megastructure visuals in any game that I've played? It's like Halo, but a little more human, and a little more somber. Which is very much my jam.
unlabelledView post →Fellow megastructure sickos and 00s FPS fans: do not sleep on Metal Garden. Fantastic little game.
unlabelledView post →hey, just wanted to mention once again that Metal Garden is coming out to Steam on 21st March (that's this Friday!) wishlists are very much appreciated! :) store.steampowered.com/app/3539440/...

unlabelledView post →Put out a quick update for Metal Garden - injury stacking was making the game far too difficult, so auto-surgery units will now let you fix all of the injuries you've incurred instead of only one.
unlabelledView post →hey there, just wanted to announce that my game Metal Garden will be coming out on February 28th on itch! it'll also be coming out on Steam a bit later, hopefully in March! tinerasoft.itch.io/metal-garden
unlabelledView post →Metal Garden is one of my go-to examples for visual and mechanical simplicity for effective environment and level design, and a huge inspiration in pursuit of some of my own ambitions. The success and acclaim Aleksandra and her game have been getting has been truly exciting to watch.
unlabelledView post →Anyway we've played Transistor which was good! We liked it! Tonight it's Metal Garden which is probably a one session play - a cool short game about making our way through a truly monumental megastructure with a full ecology and looking for the exit. Thus Thurs? We'll make a decision!
unlabelledView post →TONIGHT We're gonna play Metal Garden! I've had my eyes on this one for a while, and I'm really excited to give it a go! So swooce on by tonight at 8pm UK, and let's see what awaits us in The Megastructure. twitch.tv/kgalaxia

unlabelledView post →Y'all should play Metal Garden if you get the chance, small little game about a nomad's journey through the ruins of their Megastructure strata, and the quest to see the outside of it. Lovely tone and really well made.
unlabelledView post →Metal Garden is a gorgeous game if you like brutalist architecture and megastructures (that "sky" is a CEILING btw). The sense of scale in this game is crazy, it has a really strong atmosphere, and it's just such a nice short game experience. The worldbuilding and lore are so cool, too!
unlabelledView post →God i'm still thinking about Metal Garden... what a fuckin game...
unlabelledView post →Metal Garden is a hell of a game. Picking your way through a decaying megastructure and fighting gangs of nomads and bandits. Very hot vid game.
unlabelledView post →Just beat Metal Garden and it's a nice, short, simple exploration shooting game that fuckin' rips. Feels very Blame! meets Halo and it's just a treat.
unlabelledView post →As an antidote I could recommend Metal Garden, played it last year and made it to my podium of fav games of 2025. store.steampowered.com/app/3539440/...
unlabelledView post →One thing stopping me from exploring the "mech urbex" game concept I got is stressing out over building and then texturing a large environment. But you look at Babbdi or Metal Garden and clearly you can make a cube-projected photo texture look good if you know what you're doing.
unlabelledView post →Finished a short indie game called Metal Garden and while it's functionally pretty basic, it's quite a well designed world to explore. The vast empty spaces remind me a lot of Team ICO's work. Weirdly it's games like this that inspire me to try to make my own game a lot more than AAA games do.
unlabelledView post →Playing Metal Garden, a backlog game until Kingdoms of a Dump, I game I kickstarted years ago finally releases! KotD looks like a late contender for one of 2025's best. @kingdomsofthedump.bsky.social Live now! twitch.tv/chipdip18
unlabelledView post →🎮 2026 Game #66: Metal Garden Super interesting, atmospheric adventure/FPS game. Although the gunplay and AI are weak, the lore, aesthetic, music, and overall vibe I was totally into. Wandering around the megastructure, uncovering its secrets, and the ending are all highlights. 7.5/10 #IndieGames
unlabelledView post →Metal Garden: store.steampowered.com/app/3539440/... Another 2025 gem, a very atmospheric short FPS about exploring a brutalist megastructure. Honestly the shooting is whatever, I was there just to vibe in the environments, solve some puzzles and put together the lore.
unlabelledView post →Metal Garden was one of the most atmospheric games I've played in a while. Reminded me a lot of the first Killzone game. Check out my review if you're itching for some PS2 style dystopian vibes. #indiegames #gaming indiegamereviewer.com/metal-garden...
unlabelledView post →It's been a month of megastructures for me so far. I played thru Metal Garden by @alexandraht.bsky.social tonight and it's a perfect game that accomplishes so much with what it sets out to do. Highly recommend it, get it at tinerasoft.itch.io/metal-garden or store.steampowered.com/app/3539440/...
unlabelledView post →variety niiiight, we might even play more than one game! Starting the stream off with a short? game called Metal Garden, I don't think it'll last us all stream but even if it does I'll at least try to finish it one sitting...
unlabelledView post →Trying to de-stress a little, I figured I liked Metal Garden a lot maybe sort of because of how rough around the edges it sort of is. It plays extremely smooth and moving through the game is quick and fairly effortless, it's short enough to achievement hunt.
unlabelledView post →to be totally fair, Metal Garden (e.g.) was a very toaster-friendly UE5 game, because the solo dev braved the frozen wastelands of "UE5's not very well-signposted documentation" in order to find all of the "make the game optimised" boxes to tick
unlabelledView post →Just played Metal Garden a short FPS from last year, it's only about 3 hours long but so worth it. Game play reminded me of Half Life 2 with an interesting story reministant of Blame! with this super atmospheric visual style that felt very Tarkovsky inspired. Really impressive stuff for a solo dev
unlabelledView post →I tried out Metal Garden tonight and this is an amazing FPS. Some of the best environmental design I've seen this year store.steampowered.com/app/3539440/...
unlabelledView post →still thinking about Metal Garden fuckkk man i love that game
unlabelledView post →played Metal Garden, that game was a treat
unlabelledView post →Metal Garden is a game that mixes simple fast-paced combat with slow thinky exploration in a massive megastructure that hurts to picture. Also it dares to ask: what if you could be enemies-to-lovers with a building? Doesn't that kind of do something for you?
unlabelledView post →I highly recommend playing Metal Garden. Its a short, sub two hour atmospheric FPS/parkour game where you explore and try to escape a massive megastructure. The level design of the futuristic megastructure is a fantastic mix of Portal 2/Elden Ring/Alien Iso store.steampowered.com/app/3539440/...
unlabelledView post →4. Metal Garden store.steampowered.com/app/3539440/... Short (90-ish minute) FPS with half life-ish sensibilities about fighting your way through a massive megastructure. They do a good job of making Unreal feel like the Source engine.
unlabelledView post →@aleksandraht.bsky.social Created a Bluesky just for this post. The Dev of Metal Garden in their Dev commentary of the game repeatedly doubted their gameplay mechanics and received feedback that the game was jank. It's not, it's actually very competent : youtu.be/wxjZuBf-Fic?... Great game! (:
unlabelledView post →I played Metal Garden for like an hour and a half last May and I still think about it on a weekly basis - thanks for making such a great game! I’m very excited to pick it up again and play with commentary on.
